In such a small town, finding vegetarian food and tasty to Indian taste buds is a big challenge. And Woody's helped in overcoming that pretty well. We went in for lunch at 11ish and were asked to seat ourselves wherever we wanted as they were not very busy then. The menu is very minimal with all the usual Thai items. Our server, I think she was part of the family, guessed our vegetarian, no-egg requirement and suggested us 4-5 options we had. That was 2 appetizers, yellow curry, ginger rice and tofu vegetable fried rice. We chose- Corn tofu fritters- crispy, freshly made, you could taste the corn kernels. A good choice! Yellow curry- good with lots of vegetables and less of the curry. Also the veggies were in huge pieces, I hope they were cut slightly smaller Ginger rice- this had strong ginger taste. It was basically veggies in ginger sauce and with side of white rice Tofu fried rice- nothing different or unique about it. It was tasty We called for spicy assuming it wouldn't be spicier than Indian food, but this food set us on fire and we enjoyed it, lol.. It was good food with long food coma which according to me deserves 5 stars. Will definitely recommend to friends visiting Seward. Food good services leave a lot to be desired. I work in Seward during the summer and have went to this restaurant a few times this year and last. I feel as though they are trying real hard to not have repeat customers and just to grab those hungry tourist that just happen by when they're open. Food can be pretty good but not worth having to deal with the services and wait time. The last few times I went there I was told they were out of spring rolls for the day the first few times were at dinner so I figured that was ok they just ran out since it was late in the day. The last time I went I was there at 1pm and they were out... ok did you guys just stop making those but don't want to take them off the menu and just figure oh well they won't be back so it doesn't matter. Last time I was there they were a little busy when we got there and they told us it would be ten minutes to get seated (group of 4) after 45 minutes we were seated. It was a off day so no big deal I guess that's fine since sometimes you have to wait for other people to leave and tables to get cleared. After being seated almost took an hour to get a coke and order also I guess you only get one drink since they never check on you again. I would understand this if they were packed but by the time we ordered it had cleared out and was just us and another group of 2 in there. Come on guys! After about 30 minutes of dinning we got the bill and gave the waitress a card 30 minutes elapse and we ask about the bill and she had just set it on the counter and forgot to process the card. Are you serious? This is also someone who I have seen working here a few times before not like she was brand new. Decided yesterday to give them one last try they were so busy and looking at there hours decided we would just come back the next day. Well decided to go today and they decided they would take the day off for Labor Day weekend. Ok I get it take the day off but maybe you could put a sign up a few days before or at least the day before. You would not expect to get great Thai food in Seward Alaska, but this was some amazing Thai food which was on par with any good Thai restaurant in a major city. You really have to be amazed at how they're pulling this off given that they have to get their supplies from Anchorage Alaska about two and half hours away. They finally go there to her three times a week to get fresh herbs and so forth. Most of the ingredients are not available in Seward. Enjoy the Tom Yum soup, green curry, pad Thai, spring rolls. Don't miss the lemongrass crème brûlée. It was absolutely amazing! read more

When we came to Seward, I did not think once about Thai food. We were out on a kayak tour and the tour guide recommended this place. She was 100 percent correct! Food was outstanding. In general, I find Thai food to be too sweet in NY. Woody's, on the other hand, had a nice balance between sweet and savory. The Swimming Rama was my favorite dish - fried tofu in peanut sauce with wilted spinach and bean sprouts. It was sweet/salty, filling, and tasty. Pad Vun Sen was a tasty savory rice noodle dish with protein and veggies. The Pad Thai was a little too sweet for my taste. The wrap for he summer rolls was nice and chewy with fresh veggies. Ordered takeout to eat in my hotel room. Had the Cream Cheese Wontons and they came with a delicious savory dipping sauce. They were truly wonderful and honestly I was too full after that to eat the Pineapple Curry, but of course I foraged ahead. The taste was good, but unfortunately the pineapple watered down my dish so much that the flavor had also been diluted. Whoever prepares these dishes needs to remember to drain the juice first. Wow! What a nice little hidden gem in Seward! I never expected to find such great authentic thai food at the end of the road! I had the pad thai and was very very very happy with the presentation, taste and quantity. They used real tamarind sauce and it was probably the best pad thai I have ever had. The best Thai food I have had to date. Not to be a prude but really in Alaska?!? But alas, it is. SO now i have to make a special trip always to go there when visiting Alaska. I wish it was there when I lived there the bulk of my life, but it had to open when I was moving. So here's the rundown. The ambiance is nice, there is even a corner so kids can play and adults can pretend they are on a date. There is a bar near the front (where I sit), where one can enjoy a nice glass of wine or a beer with lunch or dinner. The owner has done a good job of supplying Alaska great offerings along with good paring's for the food. Also when ordering trust the owner, if they say you must try something they are telling the truth. I am not a big fan of mango and of course its sometimes hard to avoid, well one day the owner suggested i try this mango sticky rice thing (I wish i could remember the name now), I swear my mouth did a jig afterwards. I highly recommend my personal favorite the Panang curry. I have also embarrassed myself when it comes to ordering their food, I order for a family (about 4 or 5 entree's, an aptz or two and usually some soup.) I always pretend i am picking up for a large group, because who wants to own up to its all for them, and yes i can eat it all, easily. I finally owned up to my tricks when i said i didn't need all the napkins, forks, etc.... That all of it was for me. The owner smiled without judgement... Thank goodness. If your in Seward, or even just in Alaska, you have to make a trip here, you wont regret it. read more

Absolutely loved the food here. If you are a veggie (like us) it has plenty good options. Ordered the tofu corn cake and ginger rice and both tasted so delish. Have never before tasted a tofu corn cake in a Thai restaurant and we were glad we did. It was simply superb. If you are craving for some Asian food this is the place to try. read more
