Cheese and charcuterie - The Chef Plate
    S J.

Did we just leave brunch and come out to find cheese? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes. The service was lovely. What I thought would be a jaunt out to a farm turned into a two hour mini retreat with wine and cheese. We drove the short gravel road up to the beautiful tiered patios, lush gardens, a donkey, a cat and wee pony. Found our way to the tasting room ordered our drink flight and found a comfy spot. They have throw blankets- because it was 54° on the second day of summer at 1 pm in Oregon. Wines were fantastic. Highlights were the 'Cabernet - and '23 Viognior. I'd wax poetic about them but I'd sound like a maroon. I liked them. I liked them a lot. The cheeses were fantastic, the Chef plate was lovely, chorizo, salami, polish sausage, pickles, almonds and cheeses! I think just the cheese plate was amazing. Three tasty choices with crackers = happy campers.

Recommended to me by a new friend of mine and I will trust all of her recommendations if this is one of the places she sent to me! Nestled at the dead-end of a road in Grants Pass Wine Country, Wooldridge was such a nice escape from the concrete, chain restaurant jungle of Medford. I came at a quiet hour in the afternoon and mostly had the place to myself. Service was speedy and the staff appeared to have a lot of knowledge on their wine plus they could read their guests well (I wanted to work instead of chat) so I was left to my own devices. The Chef's Plate is a combination of their cheese and charcuterie. I thought the GF crackers they provided were super tasty but wish they had given me a little bit more cheese to nibble on. I would absolutely come back here. Open daily 11-5 according to their signage!

The food was so fresh and tasty! The wine was superb! We got the wine flight with a charcuterie plate! Don't miss out on this little gem!! The vibe was welcoming and chill! The service was top notch! Beautiful, beautiful vineyard!

A lovely July afternoon at Wooldridge Creek for wine tasting! Nothing better than a wine flight paired with a chef's cheese and charcuterie board. The board was filled with goodies of locally sourced and artisanal snacks. This is a must-stop in the Applegate Valley.

Went here for two reasons. They opened at 11am unlike all the other wineries around and they had some food options. Our visit did not disappoint. We arrived shortly after opening and realized quickly how beautiful the grounds are. We decided to try the tasting and get the cheese board. They have juices and other drinks as well for kids or people who don't like or want wine. For the tasting, the rosé was added as well. All the wines we tried were excellent and I surprisingly liked the rosé, I usually only like French ones. The cheeses and house made crackers were so delicious and a nice complement to the wine. We met Lewis the vineyard cat, he was so sweet and chill and we got to hear a few stories about him. We were told a little about the winery and creamery and about the wines. Overall an amazing visit. Ended up purchasing 4 bottles. There's so many beautiful places to sit from tables to chairs and around the fire pit.

We had a lovely morning doing a wine tasting and a charcuterie board. We went during the week so it was very private and it was lovely to sit in the garden with the view of the vineyard. I'm not a wine connoisseur so I wouldn't comment on the wine, but I can see the care they put into the grapes, and the vibe was so good to enjoy the scenery.

Absolutely idyllic--the stellar reviews are well deserved. The service, the view, the charcuterie, the ambiance--all top grade. As was the wine!

A peaceful and welcoming setting. Wonderful tasting of wine and cheese and was surprised by the amazing sparkling Chardonnay.

Enjoyed an afternoon wine tasting in Applegate Valley. Wooldridge was our favorite winery for the day. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. They had a variety of different seating and brought out the flight all at once to pour and pace ourselves. We also got the chef board with both cheese and charcuterie. The soft onion cheese was our favorite. For the wine flight we were able to do a mixed one with whites and reds and a full white flight. We thought the viognier was just lovely and all bought a bottle to take home. They wave the $10 tasting fee with the purchase of two bottles.

A wine, creamery and charcuterie lovers fantasy! This fulfills your ecstasy. Flights of white and red wines tantalize and tease your taste buds, while In-house made creamery cheeses from local organic milk and in in-house cured salamis are simply amazing to pair with superb tasting bio dynamic wines. They have their own farm animals, chickens and sheep and pollinators to bring the best experience in winetasting and finger foods you may ever have together. I believe it! I tasted! I will remember. And now I Yelp it! Ciao! Covid friendly service in a setting on a shaded patio, hot summer day, looking into the vineyards and surrounding mountains. It could not get any better. Well, it did get better because we took wine, house made almond gluten-free crackers to go with the saffron chevre cheese and the lemon fermented preserves feta cheese.

Lovely winery in a beautiful setting . Tastings are $10 for a flight of 4 wines. They serve their own cheeses too. Quite nice

What can't I say about this place! They have a donkey and a mini horse. They have a wine membership but ALSO a cheese membership. The most attractive thing about it is that it is kid friendly. I got young ones and being able to bring the babes makes this a place I can go. I won't even try other places that don't allow children. Besides that, I mean , the view and the people are amazing!

Beautiful winery! I was pleasantly surprised that they had gluten free crackers which made their cheese plate perfect! Their wine and cheese are great and I will be back!

The wines were all good. Obviously liked some more than others. I personally appreciate and prefer biodynamic wines. I just think they have better flavor. I'm not a wine snob, but Troon is Demeter Biodynamic and Regenerative Organic Gold Certified (only one of four in the world). The Amphora Amber Vermentino (orange) was good and the Tannat was awesome. They do small batch so many of the reds had already sold out. Our server, Kitty, was incredibly knowledgeable about the wines, the process, and the uniqueness of each variety. We were blown away! She paced the tastings perfectly. We weren't waiting too long in between and we also didn't feel rushed. I didn't take pictures, but the outdoor lawn area is wonderful.

They offer table service for each pour, as opposed to just giving you a flight with the list of wines on a card. Mike was working the day we went in, and he was great to talk with. Their main building is very lovely, with lots of nice touches. Bottom line: I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. (One negative item was their prices. The flight was $25, where at other places down the road it's just $10 for a flight.)
