Places like this are a fading breed, and I love this place. It's just a tasting room with wine photography artwork on the walls, the pleasant winemaker pours and discusses his product, and then you buy some delicious wine (and delicious pretzels made by the winemakers wife) at reasonable prices. This isn't a restaurant "winery" where many come mostly more to eat and socialize more than taste and buy wine, and as such there isn't a nonsense tasting fee (So do the right thing and buy a bottle, or two, or...) read more

Great little family tasting room. Was a fairly quick stop and worth it as the server provided good, accessible info on the wines. We found a wine we liked and bought a bottle for a very reasonable $20. Enjoyed it at that evenings's Britt Festival show. read more

Ok, so not a fancy tasting room and just a couple of outdoor tables, but what a unique experience. The winemaker himself pours for you and will answer any questions. There is no tasting menu just whatever he decides to hand out. We did ask to try the sherry and port, and he was happy to oblige. We bought several bottles, and went cheerfully along our way. read more

We had a great visit with Rex, Lola dog and the big little Lion/cat. Lovely view and wine tasting in a laid back working farm atmosphere. We learned so much local history and felt like we were sitting on the front porch drinking with a family friend. We enjoyed several of Rex's wines, left with a couple and we will be back! read more

What a wonderful surprise! I've visited the Applegate region on many occasions, been to many wineries, but just recently been introduced to Rosella's. This place is the essence of a local, small winery. An unpretentious family run operation, with great people (and laid back Lola), and lovely views. Friendly and comfortable. We liked all the wines, and after each taste, I thought I'd chosen my two (tied) favourites...until...Zinfandel. Pure, luscious complexity from nose to palate, and beyond. My humble, uneducated opinion: probably the best buy in its class in the region. I'm going back for more before I have to leave the area again. Oh - and the Spretzels! Got to have those. My husband George and our fur baby RoRo stopped by Rosella's on our stopover in Grant's Pass on our way back from spending the Xmas holiday with my family in Washington State. We are so glad that we made the effort to make the lovely drive out to Rosella's. Rex and Linda were out of town, but their artist friend held down the fort just fine. Our host was charming, knowledgeable about the delicious wine and very happy to share the history of the winery and the area. Really enjoyed the owner of this winery and even took a bottle of their red blend home. The tasting was free and we were the only ones there at the time (we went on a Friday around 3pm). We were visiting from CA and had no clue Grants Pass had a wine trail. Rosella's port was the only port I have ever liked, so good job on that! Loved the vibe there and the Hawaiian theme. read more

We stopped at one of the larger wineries next door first. The wines were good however we were given our tastings and a paper showing what each one was and then ignored until it was time to pay. Then we went to Rosella's.. so fun. It's much smaller but less stuffy and more about the wine. Tastings are free and we were able to taste all 5 wines plus 2 dessert wines! Jeff was helping us and he was great to talk to. The first winery had a beautiful setting however it was more fun to actually sit and chat with the people so make the wine at Rosella's! Definitely recommend Rosella's and will be back next time! read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE Rosella's! Not only do they have wine that rivals some of the most expensive I have had in the Napa Valley, but they are a family owned and run business. The Merlot sells out every year and the Cabernet is better than most in Napa Valley (where I lived for 7 years). Bravo to Rosella's for not only making great wine, but making it accessible to all in a welcome and relaxing environment. If you have been anywhere in the Rogue Valley you have seen Sandi there pouring for a good cause. A business that gives and gives while providing a superb product is a gem! read more

Rosella's is an awesome wine and going to the winery is fun. It is not a high class, ultra modern winery, it is homey and comfortable. It is a place to sit and enjoy the beauty of the Applegate Valley while sipping some great wine. It is well worth a stop if you are out wine tasting. P.S. My husband and I enjoy visiting the Applegate Valley wineries year round. We always make Rosella's our first stop. We love their wines and I always have several bottles on hand because they are easy to drink and reasonably priced. My favorite is the Cabernet Sauvignon but a close second goes to the new Zinfandel.
