Truly, there's nothing better on a chilly day than a wonderful glass of wine paired with genuine hospitality. During our trip, we found ourselves returning to Walport Family Cellars several times. Each visit was just as welcoming as the last. The owners and staff have a special way of making you feel right at home, creating an atmosphere that's relaxed, inviting, and memorable. We'll never forget the fudge pairing they offered--the flavors were incredible and perfectly complemented the wines. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by--not only for their outstanding wines, but also to hear the story behind them. We found the entrance and walked into a beautiful old building. Reminded me of an English pub. We noticed one room had a painting class going on. We walked into the bar area and were greeted right away. Very friendly staff who asked what we were interested in. They offer both wine and beer. We ended up ordering both by the end of the visit. We decided to sit outside and enjoy some fresh air. We ordered the Spinach dip and a wine tasting. The dip was ok and the wines were good. While enjoying the wine a hummingbird landed close by. We then decided to try a flight of their beer. They were tasty. We would or the wine or beer next time. It is a relaxing place to enjoy some locally made products.
