After searching around for dentists in my area, I found Doctor Dallas Woolf, who had very good reviews. I called the office and informed them of my situation, and they were able to get me in the next day. First thing, I was amazed that I was not upcharged for an emergency extraction, and the fact that they were able to get me in so quickly. Working with Dr. Woolf and his staff was a real pleasure. My three year old chipped his front teeth and I debated on whether or not to take him to a pediatric dentist or not. (The last one I took him to wasn't my favorite.) I have family that have used Woolf Dental so I called and asked if they would take him even though he was so young. The receptionist was super nice and got us an appointment within an hour of when I called. When I got there Dr. Woolf did an amazing job with my son and didn't even have to numb him in order to do the procedure to fix his front teeth. He was patient with my son when he got scared but by the end my son was smiling and laughing. They advertise an inexpensive exam with x-rays and cleaning. They ended up charging me more than the advertised amount telling me it took a little longer. This was not disclosed in advance. Apparently I needed a couple of small fillings and they weren't able to get me in for six weeks. And it wasn't with the doctor I saw while I was there. It's some other guy who works there part time. Now here's the funny thing. I have to take antibiotics before any kind of treatment because I have a heart issue and I have always gotten the antibiotics from my dentist. They told me to go to my PCP for the antibiotics. I was finally able to get the antibiotics from the dentist office the day before my appointment. Now for the appointment itself. My complaints are: the dentist kept pulling on my hair, which was in a ponytail, every time he leaned over me to work on me. The assistant was horrible with the water and the suction machine, allowing water to come out of both sides of my mouth, down my neck and into my shirt. She also missed a large piece of the filling that ended up in the back of my throat and I was choking on it. Each time the dentist needed to push the pedal to get me to sit up, he hit the wrong one, so I went backwards. All he said, was oops, wrong way. He left my teeth rough, and the inside of my upper lip was a mess. He also didn't leave any room whatsoever to floss between those teeth. The worst part was they are ridiculously expensive. I don't have dental insurance and normally a dentist office will give you a discount for not filing an insurance claim. I have received no discount whatsoever although they did offer me 10% off if I gave them cash. Unbelievable. My two little fillings this morning cost twice as much as what it would've cost back home in western Washington. These people are a rip off and I would steer clear if you need a dentist. I hadn't been to the dentist in.....let's see.....six years. (I know, I know). So when I decided to make the jump because I knew I had to go, I did some quick searching online and chose this office. From the minute I made the phone call, I knew I made a good choice. I told the receptionist how long it had been and I was embarrassed, and she basically told me not to worry about it. I was scheduled the following week. My appointment ran right on time. Because it was my first, Dr. Woolf did my cleaning and exam. Wow, dental technology has really come a long way. Everything is computerized and a lot of photos were taken so I could see what was going on. I wasn't't made to feel bad or embarrassed because I had waited so long. Dr. Woolf has been our family's dentist now for a few years. I found out about Dr. Woolf through the recommendation of a friend whom is a patient at his father's practice--that's right, Dr. Woolf has been around dentistry his whole life. After talking to Dr. Woolf in his father's office (also Dr. Woolf) I chose to use his practice. The immediate sensation of "this is someone I can trust" couldn't be over looked; not to mention, I appreciated knowing that dentistry has been a lifestyle for him. Here is just a bit more support demonstrating--not saying-how Dr. Woolf treats and values his customers. I am a school teacher with 4 children so money can get tight sometimes. Our oldest daughter had really crooked front teeth from an early childhood accident. I was expressing dismay to Dr. Woolf about not being able to afford braces for our daughter. Dr. Woolf came up with a treatment that was not braces; fixed her teeth in months--not years and made it affordable. He understands that he has a big family of customers here and shows us we are valued in his practice by looking for ways to help us--not gouge us. read more

The doctor's professional work was competent but I experienced poor customer service here (twice!). During my first appointment/cleaning, I consulted the doctor about a botched filling from a month before at a different dentist and somehow that discussion got translated in his notes as "patient has cavity in that tooth". Fast forward to our next appointment (that was, to my knowledge, scheduled to take care of a different issue), this dentist numbed me and started the procedure to fill my botched filling tooth. When I objected, we got into a heated discussion where I was told firmly that I had a cavity I needed treated and that I most certainly had agreed to the procedure.. Anyway, this did not go well. I tried to give the doctor the benefit of the doubt that he sees a lot of patients and maybe misread or poorly worded his notes. I told him as much but did not get any kind of an apology or reconciliation from the doctor (I would have been happy with "sorry for the misunderstanding or miscommunication" as perhaps by technicality I had a decay-free cavity in my filling). As an insult to injury, later in the appointment he made a somewhat snide remark about "taking better care of one's teeth" which really hurt considering I had made a big deal in my first appointment about how hard I work to care for my teeth Almost six months go by and I didn't hear from the doctor so I decided I didn't feel like giving him any more business with cleanings etc. I just called this morning to cancel and explain myself. I was "reminded" that I still have an untreated cavity. Really? Really?! The doctor still didn't update his notes after the big to do at our last appointment? I was going to ignore the bad experience and let the doc keep his top rating on Yelp (which is what led me to try him in the first place), but today just pushed me over the edge. I can't imagine what I would have done or said had I been sitting in that chair this month and he tried to push the wrong diagnosis and revealed ignorance of my issue a second time. The office tried really hard to give a personal touch when I came in for my first appointment. I got a handwritten note in the mail and several other holiday type mailings. The front secretary was really sweet and I could have tolerated the cold demeanor of the dentist if he had actually demonstrated a genuine care for me as an individual by remembering something about my teeth and by not treating me like a contemptible idiot when I disagreed with him. read more

Dallas is a gentle personable and knowledgeable dentist. I have seeing Dallas for over 10 years. He is thorough and practical. I travel over 10 miles each way to see Dallas. I have never felt the kind of genuine care and standards Dr. Woolf lives by. I have never been rushed or upsold, and his technicians and equipment are state-of-the-art. He also kindly follows up every appointment with a card or email, and his front desk staff is always kind and happy to assist. I have seen a few dentists in my lifetime, and I have never been more impressed. He prefers the Sonicare brand of toothbrush, and even offered the chance to purchase one at his discount if I couldn't get my own. First I will start by saying that I have been too many different dentists and have had a ton of work done. I have had both good and bad experiences but nothing like Woolf Dental. Dr Dallas Woolf is by far, I'm talking like really far, the best dentist I have been to EVER. For the first time in my adult life I can smile big and not feel embarrassed. Least to say he did a smile makeover on me and it is amazing. I had my top front 7 teeth crowned. I have never gotten so many compliments. No one has any idea that they are technically fake. You know how sometimes you see someone and KNOW their teeth are fake...they just don't look right in their mouth... Not the case here. They look completely natural and real. I love them! I will never go anywhere else. What is even better is that the office and staff are top notch as well. Every person in that office makes you feel welcome and important. They are not there to hurry you in and out. No revolving door here. If you have any questions, concerns or problems, they will listen and make sure you feel taken care of. From the time you walk in and are greeted you feel wanted and not in the way that some are where they just want your money. They are all aware that not all of us are made of money and are willing to work around your budget, without making you feel bad about it. Even better is that my 11 yr old loves to go to the dentist. After years of dental anxiety and neglect, I am back on the path to healthy teeth and it's all thanks to Dr. Woolf. He is knowledgeable, quick, and gentle. I have had several untrustworthy dentists that have misdiagnosed me, done bad work, and caused me unnecessary pain. After seeing Dr. Woolf, I am finally losing my fear of the dentist. His staff is kind and professional, and their office runs like a well oiled machine. Dr. Woolf first did cosmetic dentistry on me in 2015 by doing crowns on some pointy teeth I had. They match the color perfectly, have held up well, look very natural, and have given me renewed confidence in my smile. I recently returned to his office for a second opinion on some dental work I had received locally (I live in California!) and he confirmed my suspicions that the work I was having done was not very good. And then, in the same appointment, he gave me six fillings in the time it took my old dentist to do 2, and cleaned up some of his work as well. You would think that six fillings would be very rough to go through but it was practically painless and I only experienced a little soreness the rest of the day, and nothing after that.
