Stopped by today after hearing about this place. As a winery, they've only been open a short time so they are limited on selections at the moment. The owner was very friendly as were the other workers we ran into. They are very proud of their eco friendly grounds. She explained about the pond and how the use natural methods for bug control, like the bird and bat houses. Thought the wine was good and it was nice to sit by the Yak pen and sip on a glass of wine. It will be interesting to see how they develop as a winery. They have an onsite food trailer but we didn't try that out but others were. While not as developed as others, it was an enjoyable trip to try them out and seeing the animals on the grounds.

This winery has unique and delicious wine flavors (have you ever had paw paw wine?), animals including yaks and pigs, yard games, and fields to admire (including one of my favorites--lavender)! I only tried the sweet wines, but I loved alllll of them. The yaks and pigs were very social and let us pet them all.

This is a great place to have a girls night or to take the kids to their candle making workshop. We arrived approximately 6pm and there were 4 picnic-like tables with our tools we were going to use for candle making. We initially purchased our tickets online to the event and they gave us instructions for location, time, etc. We also had a selection of candles to choose from to It's located on a huge piece of land but since it was dark we were unable to see the yaks. When you walk in there are also a few high top tables and a register with a long table, as they do serve wine and mimosas. They have food options such as different sandwiches and tacos , which i got and was delicious. And the corn elote that came with it...sooo good. Those sandwiches were huge though. At the table, we already had our tools and the owner goes over the demonstration of what we will do and takes us step by step. It was so easy to make. We were there for about an hour between eating, drinking, talking and candle making. They also have souvenirs that you can buy. My candle turned our smelling delicious. Ticket price was about $45 and I enjoyed this girls night out.

What a beautiful piece of land with lovely people! We tried the Sweet Rose and the Cabernet Sauvignon, which were very good. The highlight for me was the yaks! They are so cute and sweet. We loved being able to feed them and chat with Kathy all about them.

We came for the Grand Opening and this looks like it's going to be a happening place for north Indianapolis and suburbs. They make several interesting wines (with imported grapes until their own vines start producing). They also have yaks and goats on the premises. We will definitely be returning to take a tour.

This place is an easy 10/10! Great space, cute animals, and fabulous food and wine! The staff was super kind! Food was hot, fresh and delicious! Wine was crisp, cold, and refreshing! The flavors they offer are amazing especially as a sweet wine person! They do carry all varieties as well. They also have craft sodas. We tried two different flavors that were both delightful! The bathrooms are porta potties but they were super clean and smelt unbelievably fresh. I can only imagine how much better this place is when it's not freezing out! (Def not their fault!) Even though it was cold outside the inside was a super comfortable temperature. They also have unique fun events! We did a cookie and wine pairing event! There was live music to follow! Prices were all very reasonable for everything including event tickets, food, merchandise, and bottles! They take cash and card. They have a long well lit gravel parking lot. The location is amazing because it's out just far enough that it's quiet outside with minimal things nearby but is located not far from the highway for easy access!

We had so much fun at Woolly Yak Ranch! It is a beautiful place. Beth is amazing! She brought out several wines for us to try and made sure the kids had something tasty too. Bomb pop sodas were a hit! She really took care of us! Jack showed us around and brought out a sheep for the kids to pet. My kids really enjoyed all the animals! The pigs, Penny and Pepper, were among the favorites! The food was wonderful too. Would definitely recommend to plan a visit! Such a neat place!

I've been aware of Koteewi Park and the many activities that they offer for several years and finally decided to give them a try. I arrived 15 minutes prior to our scheduled ride time and my sisters had already been there waiting for about 20 minutes or so. I'd booked this ride several weeks prior. When we went inside to check in, we waited several minutes before being greeted by a woman just coming back into the desk. She advised us that the previous group left late due to some uncooperative horses, and that we'd have to wait for them to return, approximately 35-40 minutes. We'd be riding those same horses and began praying that they'd be more cooperative with us. We entertained ourselves for the next 45 minutes and once the horses returned, we went inside for our safety briefing and instruction tutorial. We were shown how to hold the reigns (which was different from what I'd learned previously) and how to steer and bring the horses to a stop. Afterwards, we were taken out to mount up. We got mounted and adjusted and took a few practice loops around the corral before being taken onto the trail. I rode Happy, aka "The Goodest Boy!" I was told by the woman who checked us in that he was the horse she rides when she goes out on the trail. He doesn't like to lead but follows whether you want him to or not. If one horse stopped, he stopped. If I told him to stop (using the reigns of course), but the other horses were going...we went too. My middle sister rode Vanner, who I've donned "The Uncooperative Rebel". He stopped several times for snacks along the trail even when he knows he's not supposed to. Sis couldn't contain his wild, unfettered spirit. The youngest sister rode Willow aka "Priss Miss". I think she was a show horse at one point. She had a very proper and sophisticated gait and required braces for two of her ankles. Our guides, we had two for just the three of us, were very nice and kept us safe. We exchanged stories and shared laughs during our 1-hour trail ride. I chose the lake trail for the views and was a bit disappointed that there weren't many. We got a peek at the lake twice, briefly, but the wildflower fields of local flora and fauna created a truly magical setting. At one point, we were all surrounded by butterflies landing on us and the horses! It was fun, but it was hot. In the future, if we return during the Summer, it will either be for one of the morning or sunset trail rides.

I rode quite a bit many years ago. I had a service expectation in my mind for how things would go and unfortunately the team at this ranch did not deliver. On arrival, parking was not clearly marked (broken signs and no arrows to direct you). Once out of the car, there was no one to greet us or give next steps. We were told by visitors already waiting to step inside the barn to sign a waiver. Once inside, the staff member who wondered out of the dark handed the waiver to me and explained it. Yet she never said hello or introduced herself. It all felt very transactional or as if we weren't welcomed. I can only assume how many trail rides are provided in a day or week but the experience is still special to visitors. I would like to think they still remember this. My children were assigned horses (Cherokee and Widow) and given basic riding instructions from other staff members (they stated afterward the women providing them were not very warm). I was given a horse named Stitch that I did not enjoy or recommend to anyone who has never ridden before. He was headstrong and unfriendly. I can say: The 60 minute ride through the wooded trails was beautiful and very quiet. Our group totaled six so I guess I assumed there would be conversation from the trail lead but there was none. No water was provided or information about the land we were on. I was grateful for the instructor stopping before bigger hills to describe what was ahead and how to best handle it, it helped my kiddos, but I can't say as I would come to this place again. The horses looked thin and tired. Not to mention the barn bathroom was exactly what you'd expect: dusty dirty and rusty. Perhaps our expectations were too high? One big plus: the friendliness of my children's horses and the barn cats.

A few tips if you're thinking about taking your little ones: Choose the first floor if you're nervous--there's no drop-off, which makes it feel much more toddler-friendly. The top level has a small patio with yard games if your kids need a break from golfing. I always recommend reserving a bay with a couch instead of the high-top seating. It gives my kids a comfy place to sit, relax, or even sneak in a nap if needed. As soon as we sit down, I order a side of fries. It keeps little hands busy while we wait for the rest of our food. They have junior clubs (including left-handed clubs!) available if you ask. They're still a bit too big for my toddler, so we usually bring his own clubs. It's become such a fun way to practice waiting our turn, following directions, good sportsmanship, and even counting how many balls are left before it's the next person's turn. If you can, go on a weekday during half-price hours to make it a much more budget-friendly family outing! Have you taken your kids to Topgolf yet?

The flavors were unique and intentional and I enjoyed every bite. The home fries (potatoes) were also so yummy and everything was cooked really well. There's nothing basic about borage and I love that! This place is a gem. They also have a cafe/market area where you can order drinks and pastries. I wish we waited until we got seated to order drinks because the menu was much more extensive than what I saw in the cafe and I would have ordered a different drink had I seen all the other options.
