VINTAGE ONE OF A KIND DRESS W/JACKET AND DONALD BROOKS PALAZZO JUMPSUIT WITH ATTACHABLE SKIRT. RUINED!!! (I previously wrote a review and removed it when the business threatened to take me to court, however, my opinion is my opinion, and NOTHING I have written is an untruth). Since Wooven advertises "we specialize in the dry cleaning of high-end clothing," and I was looking for a new dry cleaner for these precious items, I called and spoke to Irene who said to bring the items into their processing plant not a branch so she could look the items over. I was told there wouldn't be a problem-- there was no disclosure that the process Wooven was using could, in fact, ruin the pieces, and I left confident that my clothing was safe. Wooven kindly dropped them off at the Boca store to save me the 20-minute drive to Pompano. However, when I picked up the pieces, I noticed that there was substantial damage - complete color removal and rings around stains that I didn't recall seeing previously My vintage designer dress and jumpsuit (1960's) looked terrible when I got them back. There were blotches of rings on the vintage Donald Brooks outfit, and the blue color thread was stripped down to silver. The lady behind the counter at the Boca store said it wasn't her problem (her words), so I called the Pompano location. Irene said that I should bring the items in and they would see what could be done to fix the issues. So I drove back to Pompano when I returned from my business trip. When I returned, I called to let them know I was coming in and showed the damage to Eric when another employee named Frederico took one look at me and my friend and started yelling at me an inch from my face, calling me names and nearly pushed my friend until I intervened. We weren't rude, we weren't hostile, we just wanted answers. Frederico yelled that I was "garbage" as was my vintage Donald Brooks outfit. Other names he called me were "trash," and "a crook"(there was no mention of money so how am I a crook?), and that I was a nobody (whatever that means) and the list goes on. I feel he harassed me terribly--to the point of tears and an asthma flare-up. The owner on at least 6 occasions screamed at him to leave which he refused. This was the response to my bringing back the ruined garments which I had paid over $120 to have cleaned by this facility. Had the owner not come to apologize and speak to me and explain some things in a very kind manner, I am sure I would have taken them to small claims court. These pieces came from my mom's cedar closet and had been dry cleaned before. Thank goodness I didn't have Wooven clean the belt that went with the dress, the blue is prominent in the belt, but washed out in the dress and jacket. Although it comes nowhere near the value of the ruined pieces, I was promised a refund, a refund I never asked for. Who knows if I will see it. That isn't the point. I am heartbroken that my mother's designer clothes from the mid-60's came out looking like they did. Fredrico did apologize later as we were leaving for his behavior stating it was Friday. What does Friday have to do with anything? You might choose to trust your valuable clothing to Wooven, despite the fact that they ruined mine. But would you patronize a business where an employee threateningly yells at you, and screams that you are "garbage",("don't waste your time with this trash" - meaning me), he called me "a crook" "trash" - those are just a few of the words he used, simply because Irene told to come back with the garments to would see what they could do to fix the items. read more

Yes, the store is stylish and the staff kind but beware. They ruined an expensive coverlet of mine. No one seemed to care. No returned phone calls or emails. Nothing was said or done. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE. Do not send your clothes here. Their TOTALLY RUIN MY ENTIRE CLOSET!!! Be careful!!! They have no idea about laundry!

During 5 weeks of a remodel, i didn't have access to my washer and dryer. Not wanting to do 5 loads, i brought it to Wooven. From drop off to pick up, everyone was very pleasant. When I picked up, i realized they even washed my laundry basket! Thank you ladies! read more

This is for the Pompano location... really should be no stars... but since it forces 1... I'll give that to the nice woman who works the front desk (sorry, I don't know her name) and Brett who answered the phone today. They open 9am, signs all over "same day service" I get there around 10am Tuesday and am told it was too late for same day (or they were too busy) but it would be ready Wednesday 10am. I get busy Wednesday and go back Thursday around 11am... Told my order isn't ready.... finally turns out 3 shirts are but 1 is not... tell them forget it, just give me my shirt that not done and I'll take it somewhere else... They tell me "well, it might be on a press right now, so we can't go grab it"... which was their way of trying to cover that they lost it and didn't want to tell me yet... because if it was on a press then it should be ready shortly and I could have taken it. but they promise as soon as it's done they will deliver to my house up the road. They close 5pm, I call 4pm... get a call back a little before 5pm... it's still not done... (again, they don't know where it is, but haven't told me that yet) but they will deliver early next morning, even before they open... Friday... 10am... no call.. no shirt... I call back... the woman who was going to deliver had to go to another store and the guy there is looking into it... I call again... I'm told the woman he needs to talk to (someone who works out back) isn't in yet... she's late... because she was there until 11pm so she wasn't in at 10am (not really my problem) I ask to call her on her cell and says he can't or rather wont... then eventually after me pressing tells me she's Russian and her english isn't good that's why he has to talk to her in person... hour later, now they admit they can't find it... but there is a batch of 250 white shirts waiting to go through so in 3-4 hours when they're done they can look for mine. 5 hours go by... no call.. I call back... they're just coming out but he's by himself, puts me on hold... says he just looked through 50 shirts and so far cant find it... will call back... calls back "found it" but don't worry you wont have to pay for it.... explain it was supposed to be delivered so I didn't have to pick it up and they're closed sat and sun.... I do give him the credit he was going to drop it off on his way home... I told him to forget it... I was so frustrated with all the time wasted and running around that I would just grab in Monday. Oh well, first time and clearly LAST TIME I will use this place, they have 3 locations so I'm sure they do plenty of business and wont miss me... and mistakes do happen it's just how it was handled and all the run around and then me having to keep calling because no one called me. read more

Cleaning, Preservation & Boxing of Wedding Gown The above services were requested and completed in 7 days. The staff went well beyond there means to provide excellent service and timeliness, as well as, very reasonable rate. After several calls to other local dry cleaners for these services I was highly discouraged about their individual process to clean and then ship dress to New York or somewhere else to have the additional preservation and storage boxing completed with high costs for this additional service. Wooven provided a one stop complete service from start to finish. I thank and appreciate everything Wooven has provided to keep this family heirloom well taken care of and preserved for future family brides. Wooven came to my rescue when I became the owner of a poorly treated and horribly stained mink coat. I was also working under time constraints. Irene at Wooven worked with me and she is great. The worst experience ever!!! It's incredible how the business owners of Woven Cleaners have such a disconnect to customer satisfaction. I have used their services for almost a year with weekly use of their services and in one instance they lost my business forever, not mention that I will let all I can how terrible they are. They took a one time used Tommy Bahama Silk Shirt and laundered it like other business shirts and completely burned it instead of properly dry cleaning as a silk shirt. We requested a simple replacement only to be underminded by telling us shirts fade and would only refund the cleaning charge, the shirt was wrongly done. This is how they treat a loyal continuous client, they should have looked at how much business I've given them before making such a stupid decision that sinks business of any size.
