Tempeh mushroom with no nori or jalapenos. So good
    Allia R.

These are the best tacos in the area that are not your traditional Mexican tacos. Tons of fresh fish tacos and even vegetarian options! My personal favorite is the tempeh mushroom taco! This place is not for you if you don't like a variety of explosive flavors and plenty of spice. Definitely a must try! They're worth the price. Get 2 if.your hungry! Brussel sprouts are yummy too

Way over the top an absolutely fantastic spot... I tried the coconut shrimp taco and he gave me a few Brussels sprouts and fries and they are fantastic too Don't miss this place

Lamb and goat cheese, arrachera, and baja style cod

This place is a 5 star restaurant disguised as a food truck. Literally the best tacos I've ever had.

Savory and delicious fresh sea food tacos with homemade pickled onions and truly special sauces!!! We enjoyed the outdoor seating next to the Flywheel Bike shop in Talent ... excellent and unique flavors. We'll be back soon as the menu changes with the season! Owner and chef Erik was delightful and a well seasoned traveler with tales to tell! Word on the Street is a treat for visitors to the Rogue Valley as well as a favorite with locals!

You can't go wrong with these tacos. They were spectacular... fresh, complex, and cooked perfectly! You savor every taste he mixes into the taco. I highly recommend the Seared Ahi if you like wasabi! Clears up the sinuses in a great way. Love that wasabi burn. Finished it off with the sweet shrimp. No need to take off the tails just enjoy the extra crunch. The Baja Cod was delicious as well! Can't go wrong. So many flavors. My only disappointment was when I finished my two tacos and wished there were more...

The most amazing, inventive, fresh tacos you could ever imagine. Try to eat lunch here as often as possible. The owner is a delight. Great portions. Hands down the best lunch in the area.

Have a buddy who recommended this spot to me, I'm not a big fish person but I gave it a shot. 100% was not let down I got the papas bravas ( some of the hottest fries I've ever had) a steelhead taco that taste super fresh & a soft shell crab taco that was the WHOLE CRAB! 10/10 would recommend & I will be eating here again. Local food truck that you won't ever be disappointed with.

Lived up to its reviews! Been wanting to check this place out for a long time, just don't make it to Medford usually, while this place is open. Def worth the wait. Large portions, and delish! Seems like the chef has his eye on fresh, local and organic ingredients. Highly recommend! . For those who are sensitive to spicy food, be aware that the seared tuna has jalapeños and a wasabi sauce. Just at my personal limit, but still devoured.

    Cute truck!!

Definitely deserves a 5 star rating. You can tell he puts a lot of care and work into each taco. He has a great selection of seafood tacos but I decided to go with the 2 vegan options: vegan jungle love ($6) and vegan mushroom tempeh ($4). Jungle love: includes a huge plantain and a tempeh patty; pickles; cabbage; and drizzled with yellow sauce - tons of flavor and bigger than the other tacos Mushroom tempeh: super unique combo of flavors using tempeh patty; mushroom; the roasted seaweed was a delicious touch Was only in town for 2 days but glad I was able to try Word on the Streer

Sushi Style Ahi taco - Word on the Street

Having read all the amazing reviews I decided to check this place out. Not only was I impressed by the fact there were so many options no matter what your dietary restrictions, I have a fair few, but the owner was also very friendly. I ordered the Sushi Style Ahi taco and all I can say is WOW!! The first bite of the taco gave me chills. This work of art was not only picture worthy, but it was one of the most amazing things I've ever eaten. I would absolutely recommend this place to ANYONE WITH TASTE BUDS! If there was an option for more than 5 stars I would gladly give it such. My wife and I will definitely be back!

Word on the Street catering my Son's wedding in Prospect. Cool truck at an awesome venue serving outstanding food!

Word on the Street catered my Son's wedding 9-24-17. Thank you so much Eric for bringing your delicious food all the way up to a remote venue in Prospect. The food was outstanding! An elaborate selection of tacos & tasty sides. Something for everyone! The truck added to the awesome woodsy outdoor Southern Oregon setting with spectacular views of Lost Creek Lake. Eric was absolutely slammed, but stayed calm, cool and collected while continuously turning out the best tasting tacos I've ever had!!! I had the grilled Ahi taco with side of roasted brussel sprouts, quinoa & black beans...one word: YUM! And healthy! Anyone who is planning a wedding and is looking for catering, definitely consider this cool chef who prepares crazy good food! Also check him out at his everyday location on Riverside! You won't be disappointed!!

WOTS is gourmet seafood tacos. The owner is a trained chef who was previously at Standing Stone Brewery in Ashland. He uses all different types of seafood and really has a tasty touch. The menu rotates based upon availability so it's tricky to recommend a particular Taco. He does have some sides also. He makes deep fried Brussels Sprouts with an aoli. The dish is bomb! Check it out. The word on the street is that it's delicious!

Ask the Community - Word on the Street

Are they still around? Will they be open Wednesday April 20, 2022? I don't live in Medford but will be in town that day. Been wanted to try their tacos.

When is this truck downtown?I have drove by several times in hope to stop by with no luck...I thought maybe it's only there on the weekend and drove by about a month ago on a weekend and still no luck..any suggestions?

They are over by the post office during the week except on Thursdays when they are are the farmers market. I have been there on the weekend at the post office too. No idea how firm this schedule is!

Didn't really enjoy pulling this long hair out of my mouth like a fish line from the ocean to see what I've caught. Now granted this is unavoidable as I have worked in the food and service industry for most of my life and know it happens. What made me write this review is the fact that the people who handled my food were not wearing hats, hairnets or having their hair pulled up above the neck and ears which is a OR health code violation. I know that it could have been the end of their night, and they were done nearly done with their shifts or whatever, BUT rules are rules for a reason. It was good, the spam slice was a bit thin and it was in the middle of the rice cube instead of on top but the taste, there was a light teriyaki sauce, was excellent. Only one type of musubi is available. Ideally, it should have a pickled turnip next to the meat, but many places skip that. Musubi can be made with chicken and/or egg instead of spam and in Japan, salmon is most often used. Cute server, but of course that's not relevant.

Overall: Delicious flavors, but all of the proteins were extremely dry/overcooked. I can tell that if you ordered earlier in the day that this would not be an issue. We ordered ~1pm and it was evident that all of the proteins are cooked early and sit and dry out as the hours go on... Yum Nue =$13.00 (a little spicy in a good way) This is a flavor bomb! I love the combination of fresh romaine and vegetables and the bed of sauce soaked rice at the bottom *YUM* I ordered later in the day so I guess she ran out of beef, so mine was both dried out beef and dried out chicken breast. Again, order earlier in the day and I'm sure it would have been better. BBQ Pineapple Teriyaki $12.00 (not at all spicy) Very flavorful and uses fresh pineapple. Only downside was the dried out chicken and some very crunchy burnt chicken ends were not expected and unpleasant. Would have been perfect had we ordered earlier in the day when the proteins were first cooked. I would order again, but much earlier in the day for the sake of the proteins. I understand the need to prep ahead of time, but the dried out proteins are avoidable and should be addressed.
