Needless to say, Allan Le checked all of those boxes and delivered on every one of them. We signed with him a year before our wedding. Throughout the process, Allan was very communicative via text and email. One thing that stands out to me is that our original engagement photoshoot date was forecasted to be rained on so Allan was very flexible in postponing it to a suitable date. At our engagement photoshoot, he knew where all the picturesque spots were at the LA Arboretum and came prepared with a wagon full of camera equipment. At our other location at USC campus, he found many inspirational shots that turned out amazing when we got the photo copies. On the days leading to our wedding day, Allan took the time to review our wedding schedule and provided great feedback on realistic time frames for each location. On the wedding day, he woke up early and arrived by 7am at my wife's location while he sent his assistant to my location to take pictures of me and my groomsmen. He was very knowledgeable about the traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony and gave great direction to everyone off the cuff because not everyone knew the process. Overall, he did a tremendous job throughout our wedding day to not be intrusive with our schedule, but rather, flexible with whatever we planned. Trust me, he's a very calm and easy-going guy. A few months after our wedding, we chose our photos to be added to the wedding photo album. Although it took a little longer than I thought, the final product was definitely worth the wait. We picked up the product at his house and it was well packaged, heavy, and had a thick picturesque cover. Each page was filled with great shots of happy memories on our engagement and wedding day, which our parents even complemented. We've already recommended Allan to a friend of ours and it was awesome seeing his photography craft on her wedding day, but as a guest this time. I highly recommend booking him or at least contacting him for a meeting.

However, there was one significant area that I believe needs improvement: the organization of post-ceremony family photos. I officiated my niece's wedding and was also a close family member (uncle). When the sneak peeks were released, I was surprised to find that I was barely represented in the photos. This is not about wanting to be the center of attention. Rather, it highlighted what I believe was a lack of structure in coordinating family portraits after the ceremony. At many weddings, photographers will direct the flow of group photos by calling specific groups one at a time: the bride with her parents, siblings, extended family, friends, wedding party, and the same for the groom's side. This organized approach helps ensure that important family members are not unintentionally missed. In this case, there did not seem to be a clear system in place. People were moving around freely, and there was no obvious coordination of family groupings. As a result, some family members may have been overlooked despite playing meaningful roles in the wedding. The photographer mentioned focusing on the key moments of the day, which is understandable. However, formal family portraits are also key moments. These are often the photos that family members treasure, share, frame, and look back on for years. My recommendation would be to implement a more structured family-photo plan after the ceremony, with clear direction and a checklist of immediate and extended family groupings. Doing so would help ensure that everyone who played an important role in the wedding is properly included and remembered. The photography itself was beautiful. I simply believe that stronger organization during the family-photo portion would create a much more complete experience for couples and their families.
