This is the place to go for your next pair of work shoes. Full stop, just do it, period. The best shoe buying experience I've had in decades, maybe ever. It's a small shop, locally owned, and they know their sh#t. I was looking for a particular feel and style shoe, steel toe safety on the manufacturing floor that looks good in the office. I tried a pair that I liked from the selection on the shelf, it didn't quite fit right, and before I could take it off one of the guys walks up and hands me a shoe that wasn't even on the rack. It was exactly what I wanted and fit as well as a steel toed shoe can. The best part, I didn't have to ask, they simply listened to me telling my girlfriend what I was thinking and emerged from the stock room with the perfect shoe. The place is small and they're attentive to their customer. A pleasant experience, especially for the old timers who value customer service. This place has a large selection of boots. I went inside on a whim because I was walking around the neighborhood. I saw a pair of cap toe Chippewas that are pretty rare to find and were at a good price, but I didn't walk in for boots. I came in for laces. They have a good selection of laces, so I picked up the ones I needed and get set to pay. I asked the clerk if these would work for my boots and he looked at them and my boots and verified that they were the right length. When he rang me up I ask if they take card and he says yeah but there is a ten dollar minimum, so he said I could just have the laces. I was pretty shocked and was digging through my pockets for any cash, but came up dry. I really appreciate that gesture and the next time I walk in there I'll be buying the cap toe Chippewas and a pair of laces. read more
