Considering the part of Dallas it's in, it feels like a secret. It's sort of tucked away and feels very safe. We happened upon Camp looking for some after Christmas sales. It's a large, well located store. No shortage of interesting toys and Gund stuffed animals. Need an attachable bike horn with 12 different options? They've got it! Want to have that adorable handwriting remembered? They will embroider it. The employees were nice and answered endless questions from my kids. The cashier tried to explain the other features of the store. They have Meow Wolf type of experiences and private birthday party area. You pay for admission and then walk through the setup. It wasn't open during our visit but it's the part of the store that faces the parking lot. It was a beautiful day so we popped outside to play after shopping.

My 5 year old & younger nieces & nephews all found it equally enjoyable. They have two gift shops. One when you first walk in that has a variety of Disney & non Disney gifts & souvenirs & one that you're led into after the camp is over with Disney animated gifts. They have everything from t-shirts to games & jewelry. The prices for some of the items were decent. The staff were very friendly. The location of the place is awesome. There's so many food options literally right outside with a small greenery area for play.

I was looking through a comic to see if I liked the art the story just skimming through it and he walks up to me and first asks if we're looking for anything specific then says "We're not gonna be reading through comics and reshelving today" then takes it out of my hands and puts it in the back of the store then when my brother said we were going to buy it he gave a half assed apology saying people do it all the time and I would forgive him for that case BUT I was not only looking at a comic before that one I was holding it around the store then when my brother found the one I was looking for I put the comic I HAD back where it goes on the shelf in numerical order and assuming they have cameras the old bald white dude that was being a dick should've seen that but I guess not. Please don't come here the owner is very passive aggressive and one time we went in, this employee was YELLING at the other employee for grabbing a wrong comic, like come on people seriously if you care about customer service don't come here maybe like two of the employees are chill.

If you like to collect manga and want to see a huge variety of selections, this is the place. I really like that they also have a selection of manga in Japanese! The art book aisle is awesome. It's hard to find art books in other bookstores, and even places like Barnes and Noble won't have a selection as varied as Kinokuniya. Despite the endless aisles of manga, I've surprisingly noticed that they're missing a few decently known manga. Unless I keep missing it, I've never seen The Case Study of Vanitas in their aisle, but they have the author's other work, Pandora Hearts, in there, for example. I would also say Kinokuniya is limited with their selection of anime goodies. I like that they're all very much authentic and different from your typical anime store selling pop figures and easy to find Bandai/Banpresto stuff, but their blind box selections are also becoming easy to find in other places because it's all the mainstream shows. Overall, if you're looking to expand your collection, this is the place to go.
