However today I had a very unnerving experience in which a man working out could be heard berating and yelling profanities at his very young son. I said something to him about how you treat a child. He starts calling me a bitch 'ho, telling me to leave, and threatening physical violence against me. another guest somehow calmed him down and walked him back to the locker room. When I left the entire staff were sitting along the window seal, this leads me to believe that they are not trained on how to handle a difficult guest, or the person in question is an employee. I attempted to call the location to obtain a video and the voicemail is full.

The owner (Nancy) is very active in the business, and goes out of her way to connect with clients. During one visit, I had forgotten my jump ropes at the gym. Nancy bundled them up, and dropped them off at my hotel for me. 5. I'll mention the equipment again -- just about everything you'd ever want or need in a facility, and it was in very good and clean condition. 6. The hours of availability were very nice... morning and evening classes, and open gym ALL DAY LONG. 7. We put him through multiple PT sessions, but he would get hurt again. Finally a friend of mine recommended Alton. We did a trial session for an hour and my 16 year old came out saying this was the best hour he spend working out ever. Alton had not only provided physical adjustment and plan on how my son should work out, but he also offered a mental adjustment and attitude on how to perceive his participation in the sport that he loved. Throughout the months of work my son has been looking forward to every session with Alton because it not only aligns him to make his body feel safe and secure, but mentaly he is prepared to tackle another week of work. My older son who is in military also, had one session with Alton and said it was life-changing. He said that whenever he has an opportunity to be in Atlanta, he would love to meet with him and work out with him just to make sure his body is recovered from the stress of training. I think Alton is an amazing person and amazing trainer. I could not wanna come anymore although being selfish as I am, I wish we could just keep them for us else so we don't run into a conflict of scheduling the training with him. But if you are looking for a trainer who can change your life, change your body, change your way of living for the better, look no further. He is the best trainer to work with.

That being said, the music that is played there during prime-time workout hours is HORRIBLE! For some reason, the manager insists on playing nothing but music from the early 80's. Here's some of what I heard today: "Rosanna" Kool & the Gang. "I wanna rock with you." Michael Jackson, a little Ottis Redding, some freakin' Planet Rock and the Temptations. There is a Silver Sneakers group there in the morning, so I understand the reason for the oldies during that period. But at 1pm? At 3pm, the manager can find nothing but Lisa, Lisa and the Cult Jam to blast? This has been brought to her attention before, and yet she insists on torturing the members so she can get her nostalgic groove on. Ugh!

It usually has a pretty good crowd since it's in a busy area. Non-peak hours are when the first open, or while everybody is at work. Any other time. The gym is 24 hours so that is really good. Our class started off with kickboxing - rotating through different exercises with the punching bag, and ended with circuits. Our instructor (gosh I forgot his name) had amazing energy- probably one of our favorite instructors across a bunch of different exercise classes. The only thing is lol we were confused about some of the moves at the punching bag. He was really helpful but jumped around helping other people so you kinda just have to freestyle it. Luckily the people next to us were super helpful and friendly! Clean facilities and great natural lighting. Definitely one of the better kickboxing places around Atlanta!

The quality of this gym is far below the others. There aren't any showers and the equipment is nasty. I went there last night and walked right back out. That place was awful. I saw a bunch of stationary bicycles in what looked like a closet but after a second glance, I think they had the nerve to have a spin class in this cramped area. I would recommend to the corporate offices at Anytime Fitness to have better quality control. I wouldn't want my brand associated with this facility. The locations in Suwanee and Atlanta seem like luxury gyms compared to this location.

I enjoy sitting in the whirlpool to decompress and the added benefit is that it is next to a beautiful panoramic view. Today, however, I came in to sit in the whirlpool and the staff have the music BLASTING. There's only me and one other person in the pool and there is no need to have it blaring this loud. To make matters worse, the radio they are blasting is right next to the whirlpool. I'm accustomed to hearing the music during water aerobics or other classes, but this is just plain inconsiderate. I tried to make a phone call and the person could not hear me.
