Well, I don't know why this shop has received so many bad reviews, because our services were INCREDIBLE. My stylist (Emily) and my mom's stylist (Giselle) both made our hair look absolutely gorgeous. I got the Manhattan and my mom got the Straight Up, and both were executed to perfection. Our stylists were fun and personable, super kind, and very talented. They put us at ease and we had the best time chatting while they did our hair. I have A LOT of hair and it can take over an hour to blow it out and flat iron it. Emily got it done flawlessly in 50 minutes! I also noticed GORGEOUS curls she'd done for the girl before me, so it wasn't just me who got great hair that day. My one note would be to ask how I wanted my hair washed at the shampoo bowl. This was actually the only time I've been to a Drybar where I wasn't asked if I wanted one or two shampoos and if I wanted conditioner on my roots. Danato took his time in explaining the entire process to me before starting the treatment, which included multiple cleansing washes accompanied by steam throughout. He finished the treatment off with a bouncy blowout. I have thick and coarse caucasian/asian hair, and he was incredibly patient and enthusiastic in creating the look that I wanted. The whole experience was relaxing and pleasant from start to finish. Danato was very attentive, polite and detail-oriented. I would highly recommend him for a hair spa treatment or blowout!

I have been to many of the "best" well-known salons on Newbury St. I've always left unhappy with darker hair, ashy, muddy, etc.. it went on for so long. I was even told that your hair changes every seven years and my hair just can't get light again. These colors made me look so washed out. I hated it. I ended up going to a salon in Needham. She refused to put collar on it except for my roots. She lightened my roots and then put a toner on it. She turned my hair medium brown. I was horrified! She washed it out, put another toner on. This was a color I had never seen! I had a combination of orange and the other parts were brownish ash and greenish! I was totally freaked! And I have an event coming up this weekend. I read some reviews never thinking I would get in to anyone last minute. Lynda answered and was nice enough able to squeeze me in at the end of the day. Walking in with multicolored hair, and being told my hair can't be blonde again, I could just tell that she was going to be good. I hit the jackpot with Lynda! I'm blonde, my hair looks healthy, she gives a phenomenal blowout, and I will never go to anyone else again. Lynda is extremely knowledgeable and unbelievably talented! For the first time in so long not only was a blonde, but when I looked in the mirror I liked what I saw and I really hadn't for such a long time. Lynda' is by far the best most talented colorist in Boston! I can't tell you how glad I am to have found her.
