This is not my first time with them, and every time, they completed the request to perfection. The team is very responsive to either phone or email. I had contacted them about my rear bumper being in an accident and asked for a quote. They had asked if I can bring in the vehicle for a physical exam, but due to my schedule, I was unable to. If I could give zero stars, I would. World Autobody--and especially Mike--ran my parents in circles for over a year, took thousands of dollars, and left them with a poorly repainted truck, a broken sunroof, and a masterclass in gaslighting. My mom brought in her 2016 F-350 Super Duty to get the roof repainted due to clear coat issues. Mike talked a big game, built rapport, and promised quality work. What she got instead was a nightmare. First red flag? Months of radio silence and dodged calls. When she finally picked up the truck, there was broken glass on the driver's seat. When she asked about it, an employee shrugged and said, "not sure." Turns out the sunroof was broken--a detail they somehow forgot to mention. They installed a cheap aftermarket sunroof that didn't even close properly and had a visible gap in the seal. Eventually, my parents had to pay Ford to replace it the right way. And the paint? Still chipping. Still dull. Turns out, according to Mike's own words after being backed into a corner, they didn't prep the truck down to the original paint because--get this--it was a "judgment call." Apparently, Mike's "judgment" was to not follow basic prep standards for a professional repaint. Only after taking the truck back and discovering the original color wasn't black did he admit that not prepping it properly might be the reason the new paint is failing. Ford of Clairemont later confirmed that the paint had not been properly prepped, validating exactly what we suspected. And somehow, Mike acted like he was doing us a favor by attempting to fix the mess he created. Worst of all, he denied they ever removed the sunroof, even though we saw a progress photo on his own computer showing the truck without a sunroof. When confronted, he dodged, deflected, and spun the conversation like a politician trying to bury a scandal. He would rather run over his own ego than admit he messed up. Mike is smooth-talking, defensive, and allergic to accountability. This place doesn't care about quality or customers--only how much they can charge while doing the bare minimum. My parents were respectful and patient throughout this whole disaster. They didn't deserve the damage, the delays, the lies, or the gaslighting. Save yourself the time, money, stress, and your sanity. Go literally anywhere else. I HIGHLY recommend Tag Collision in San Marcos! read more

I was in an accident that caused damage to my left side fender. Insurance recommended this place. Went back to get my car when they said it was done but it still had some scratches on the paint and headlight. Guy said I was being a perfectionist. That was fixed in the end, but what I didn't noticed until about 2 weeks later was that the right side, which had no damage from the accident by the way, was missing a screw and some pieces. Don't go here if you love your car, even if the insurance company recommends this place. Also noticed they have a lot of cars in their parking lot that also need to be fixed. They seem to have a lot of cars to work with so your car will not get the attention it needs. read more

My car was referred to them by my insurance. I had to pay $1000 out of pocket. They were supposed to give my car in 10 days, but they returned 20 days after dropping the car. It's unfortunate that I have to write this review, as I did not want it to get to this point. Dropped off my Subaru Outback for a rear end collision on 11/30, and they got the approval from my insurance and started the work 12/5. Brian was the person handling my case. First estimate of completion was 12/13, and ends up being delayed. Not a big deal to me - Brian says it will be done three days later on 12/16. When 12/16 rolls around, another delay. Ok, things happen, I get it. Four days pass until 12/20, where Brian leaves me a voicemail saying my car is 100% done. I call back to confirm, and Brian says it actually is NOT done, and that they are done in terms of the hardware side of things, but needs a technician to come out to calibrate the rear auto lift gate. Something sounds off, since it's been delayed multiple times at this point, and I head into the shop to see a technician physically installing something - aka Brian was incorrect in telling me that the car just needed to be calibrated. Mike helps out and tells me that they are unable to fix the auto lift gate, and that they may need to bring it to the Subaru dealership to get it fixed. I ask him over the phone that same day when the ETA will be, and he is unable to give me an ETA because it would be wrong of him to give me a date because he is unsure if it would be correct. That's fine, better to underpromise and overdeliver. I get it. Fast forward to today, 12/28, Brian calls me this morning and tells me that the Subaru dealership is DONE with the car, and that he will call me later today to confirm the car is ready to be picked up. Unfortunately, Turns out when I just called the shop, the first woman that I spoke to stated that the car is not ready and forwards me to Brian. Brian states that the car is NOT ready either. So in review, the car has been delayed quite literally 5 times. Inaccurate in their assessment of how to fix the car, inaccurate assessment of how long it takes to fix the car, and very poor customer service in my opinion. I have an 2023 Acura TLX Type S. I needed World Auto Body to replace the front lower spoiler as I had scratched it up pretty good. I will never recommend anyone to this body shop. The individual I had to be dealt with this morning, Brian, was completely rude and inconsiderate to say the least. As soon as I walked in the shop he had immediate attitude. He took a while to acknowledge me then we went outside to look at my 2001 330ci BMW. All I had was a dent on the hood of the car and my bumper needed to be replaced and he said it was totaled. He didn't evaluate it for 3 minutes he just said it was totaled. I called my insurance company to tell them what he said and they called him to see what was going on with the assessment, he goes on and tell them that the car is totaled and that it has major damage and that it would coast way to much to fix and that my radiator was completely out. I never told him my radiator was out. I just told him that it has a leak but that it wasn't out and I'll get that fixed later. As he was talking to my insurance agent I told him that is not what I said and he cuts me off and tells me that I'm being rude and don't cut me off again while I'm talking. I told him if you would stop lying when you are talking to my insurance agent I wouldn't have to interrupt your conversation. He then proceeded to take pictures of my car asks for my license and registration and then gives me my key back in a very sarcastic way. Nobody should not ever have this type of service by anyone!! So it was a hassle going back and forth with my insurance company.. they sent my car here and unfortunately it did take a long time for me to get it back. Even though I've only ever had a car in the shop for less than a week I was pretty bummed. I'm a mom of 2 and my boyfriend is gone often for work so we don't have an extra car. Dean helped me speed up the process for my car and it ended up being done a week early. I can't thank him enough for dealing with my pain in the ass. I called everyday because I was getting a lot of run around unless I talked to dean. So thank you for being patient with me even though there were a few hiccups I just have to leave a 5 star because I left the lot VERY happy. They cannot control waiting for parts. Which held my car up longer. But not only did they fix what happened in my car accident they fixed things that I've been back and forth with at the dealership/& their shop trying to figure out what was wrong with my brakes. I brought my EVO in to fix a moderately damaged door (and door hinge). It was done through GEICO since the damage looked $$$$. At first I was pretty hesitant to bring it to World Auto Body in Escondido because of that one negative review on 9/24/2018. I talked to the new owner Mike S. and he explained to me what really happened and was assured me things will be fine. I put a lot of weight on Yelp reviews when it comes to goods and services- and more so when it comes to my car. As a car guy I like to wrench on my own car and do most of the work myself and seldom take it to shops for basic mechanic work. I'm happy to say that the whole experience with the shop was very positive and professional. The workmanship was very good and the work was done in a reasonable amount of time. LOVE this place. I got into a 3-car collision, and my Toyota RAV4 took quite a beating from it. Mike was not only competent, but kind and approachable as well. Not only did they restore my car to perfection, they also replaced my horn shortly after, and brought some issues to my attention, like my, um...hose thingy. Hose...something about a radiator. UPPER RADIATOR HOSE. That's it. Anyway, these guys are friendly, smart, and work efficiently. Terrible experience. Audio/Navigation head unit was working when I dropped off my car to have body work completed. When I picked up car after body work was completed head unit not working. I asked if they had to touch electrical work at all and was told no. Upon further inspection by the shop I was informed they did have to disconnect electrical to replace quarter panel and rear door. In the end, they said the did not cause head unit to go out and was not responsible for damage. STAY AWAY, not trustworthy. If I could give ZERO stars I would. read more

Brought my car here for repairs, sent to them by GEICO. They have had my vehicle near a month, returned to pick it up and there is add'l damage to the body, "not caused by them". They refuse to fix it, when I asked to see the cameras, supposedly they only retain footage for 5 days, being that they've had my car a month, that's a bust. The repairs were also sketchy at best, my front lights are chipped, paint around the lights is chipped and the bumper is not aligned properly, due to the "bumper clips". They doctored up the paperwork after the signature was on it to ensure they CYOA, not to take responsibility for the add'l damage. The lot looks like a sardine can full of cars. The Manager, Mike, felt it appropriate to yell at me and talk down to me in the lobby, even after I told him not to speak me this way. He would only to speak to my mother in Spanish, after being told she speaks English (and is fluent in both). All around, poor service and the customer service is non-existent. Someone hit my car at work. Our insurance claim was made and I was sent to world autobody. The guy who helped me was named Juan, I think. Taller, hefty guy. He was helpful and accommodating. My own insurance was giving me a hard time about a rental car. And he took care of it all. He kept me posted on the work being done and when my car would be ready. He even stayed past 6 PM to wait for me to pick up my car. Which I truly appreciate. I was nine months pregnant at the time taking my car to the shop. The work was amazing. Great auto body repair! Prior to finding them I got 2 other estimates at body shops in Oceanside that were recommended to me. They estimated work would be around $4,000 which seemed ridiculous as I estimated around $2,000. I then attempted to go to bumper doc since they had good reviews but they had zero parking and their lot was an absolute disaster with cars everywhere very disorganized. I ended up right next door at world auto body and was very pleased with their work. World auto body had a reasonable estimate and my total ended up being very close to what they had predicted. When I picked up my car the color of the white pearlized paint was a little off, but I felt like I was being dramatic.
