This was one of my favorite rides in Magic Kingdom. It was really popular, lines were long. We used the fast pass to skip the line and got in within 10 minutes. Loved the chill boat ride that had lasted about 10 minutes. It floated through several different small world sections, covering different continents, countries and cultures around the world. The small world song in itself was also really amusing to me. The staff members were friendly during onboarding and exit. Loved the goodbye sign many different languages.

It goes without saying that "it's a small world" is one of the all-time classic and iconic Disney rides. I've been on this ride I think three times in my life: twice as a kid circa 1990 at both Disney World here in Florida and Disneyland in California, and once as an adult recently again at Disney World. I think I enjoyed it more as an adult than I did as a kid. Either way, I do think this ride is worth going on as part of a Disney bucket list. At Magic Kingdom, I don't think the ride has changed much since its opening on October 1, 1971. The scale is impressive. At around 12-15 minutes in length, I think this is one of the longer rides at Disney World. The ride definitely feels like a creation of its time (1960s-1970s), and that part to me is interesting and cool because in 2026, we still get to experience what it was like when Disney World (1971) and Disneyland (1966) first opened. Trivia: At the Disney World version of this ride, about 100 countries or cultures are represented by nearly 300 audio-animatronic dolls. Shout-out to the Thai dolls. The song is sung in five main languages: English, Italian, Spanish, German, and French. Other languages, like Japanese, can be heard at the end. We had Lightning Lane passes around 2:13 PM on a non-holiday Monday and experienced a short wait (a few minutes). Fun fact: When I was a kid, I got lost outside the Disneyland version of this ride. My family lost me for well over an hour (maybe two or even three; I just remember hearing the clock outside ring and seeing the animated figurines parade out every 15 minutes over and over again). I stayed put at the gift shop outside and my cousins eventually found me and took me to my mom who was crying inside The Mad Hatter shop. She feared I had been kidnapped.

If you are looking for a classic Walt Disney attraction then look no further. A boat ride around the world with small animatronic children singing the same song over and over and over again. You hear it so much that it is probably stuck in your head for the entire day. We all know it, "it's a small world after all". These lines can get long at times, but I highly recommend waiting until the wait is 20 minutes or less. To me this ride really is not worth the 20 plus wait. The ride itself is a simple ride, it's a boat ride that moves slow through the water, no drops, no sharp turns, just a slow moving boat ride. I can see why a lot of adults are not huge fan. I will say the boat itself is extremely uncomfortable for those with long legs. The rows are narrow and my wife and I knees get smashed against the row in front of us. Overall, I would say ride it. It's classic, iconic Disney attraction. Do not wait more than 20 minutes though. If you are a first timer to Disney, this is a must ride. Fun colors, lots to see and look at and the classic never leaving your head song. Great Disney attraction.

It's a small world is magical. It instantly brings me back to my childhood hood. This is the most classic Disney ride. It is a simple boat ride showing all of while singing the song "it's a small world" in all the languages. It's always nice to see what the kids find amusing of the cultures. This is a nice relaxing ride to get out of the Florida heat!!! Make sure you ride it!

This is the epitome of Magic Kingdom. Think back 1983 as an eight year old who just performed to this song in her ballet/tap recital. Now 40 years later it is the same ride. And I love it! Time stand stills and I am eight year old again. 20 minutes in line and enjoy a 14 minute ride. This ride makes my Magic Kingdom day complete!

I genuinely love this ride. You haven't gone to Magic Kingdom if you haven't done It's a small world. The lines are fairly long in a consistent basis but around mid day or late in the evening you can usually get a short wait time. They have recently done an up keep to the ride and the colors are looking vibrant. Honestly it looked even more beautiful than when I rode it as a kid!

Directly across Pete Pan in Fantasy Land, this is a must ride! We had early entry and made our way to peter pan, and right after we saw on the app the wait time was only 5 so we got right on the boat. I'd heard about this ride for YEARS but didn't even know what to expect, however it was amazing! I love that it is very clearly an old ride, looking like something designed (ahead of it's time) in the 60's. This 12 minute ride takes you through the whole world. Everything was so beautifully done and the kids enjoyed the boat ride. There was a little bit of me wondering when it would end, but I think it was cute and very classic disney.

This has been one of my favorite rides for over 40 years! It feels like disney magic when you are enjoying this boat ride through a doll village around the world . Disney cast members are always so friendly and full of magic at this ride compared to others as every adult because a kid again on this ride. No matter the wait time, we will always make this the first stop while visiting the magic kingdom !

It's a Small World is a Disney cult classic. In a slow paced boat ride, you'll be taken through various audio-animatronic dolls in traditional cultural costumes on a repeat of "It's a small world". Since this is one of Magic Kingdom's original rides, you'll notice some of the dolls a little more loved than others.

It's in Fantasyland, and it's actually one of the first rides to open at 8:30 am during the early entry period. It happened to be temporarily unavailable when we arrived. But fear not, Peter Pan's Flight is right across from it and also opens at the same time. After finishing the first ride, we lucked out. It's a Small World just happened to be open with no wait. It didn't take long to hop in the boat and enjoy the ride. But wait. I thought it had been updated since the last time I was there. Sadly, no. It might have received a new paint job, but it was the same ride from 16 years ago. Not a bad thing if you're into nostalgia. It's a great place to see dolls dressed in each country's traditional attire. Did you know that the seamstresses at Disney hand sewed all the costumes using that country's materials? That's pretty cool! I remember when my brother sent me dolls from Germany. Yeah, it's a girly thing. But I must say, the ride did bring back many memories for my husband as well. I did notice one thing different at the end of the ride. Make sure you look up at the screens when you start seeing "Goodbye" in many languages. Magicband users will see their names on the screen. Let's face it. It's a catchy song that brings the whole world together. A little corny, but fun. It's not Fantasyland without It's a Small World.

But as a random person, we didn't really have a bad experience. Magic Kingdom is not an amusement park, it's a theme park. Rides are basic, but I think it's so every guest can have the same experience. Easy to stop and go if you need to get on the ride in an untraditional way. Completely overpriced though, which is why my wife and I have been together for 22 years and this was the first time we went to Disney in that time. If we didn't spend more on lightning lane passes, we would not have had a good day. I feel you can do whatever you want here. People cut in line, push past others, talk through all the instructions and rides. Some weird woman just recited the entire Haunted Mansion introduction, because with main character syndrome, she wanted to ruin the experience for everyone else? I feel I enjoy Marvel and Star Wars more than most other properties and I still think Disney has catching up to do with Universal Studios. It's a better world over there. There is a lot of Disney "Magic" though. You have to pay for it, but like Disney, you throw enough money at a problem and it does appear better.

I thought maybe that was because this ride opened around the same time as the movie in 1989. However, I was a bit surprised to learn after the fact that this ride actually opened 23 years after the movie, in late 2012. On the ride, you board clamshells that take you on an adventure under the sea. Pretty much all the characters from the movie make an appearance and the ride is filled with Alan Menken and Howard Ashman's popular songs like "Part of Your World," "Under the Sea," "Poor Unfortunate Souls," and "Kiss the Girl." The "Under the Sea" song and dance segment is bright and colorful. It reminds me of going to E.T.'s planet in the E.T. Adventure ride at Universal Studios. It's a festive party; both rides have that neon-colored, crowded "creature party" aesthetic. During our visit, the animatronic Ariel in this section was broken and inanimate. Kind of funny and creepy. During the "Kiss the Girl" segment, the plastic water coming out of the fishes' mouths didn't look great. It added to the overall sort of "knock-off" and kitschy look of the ride. Also, right before the end of the final scene with King Triton and the wedding of Ariel and Eric, the ride stopped on us. So, I was able to get a good, long look at the different animatronics and scenery. Finally, I thought the transitions between the high-quality video and the actual practical physical ride props were a bit jarring. Other rides do it better like, for example, the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros at EPCOT. We had Lightning Lane passes at around 1:47 PM on a non-holiday Monday and experienced no line and no wait.

It is a slow moving ride that goes on a flat track and will move your clamshell 365 degrees, as well as going backwards and tipping backwards as well. It does not spin fast and as someone who gets motion sickness, you should be fine. The seat has a lap bar for the entire row and is not comfortable at all. It is a very hard bench. I find this ride becoming more of a favorite probably since it is super cute and the line is never very long. The line can get long at times, but I recommend waiting until the wait drops below 20 minutes. The line starts outside which has little shade and is very hot in the summer, but then moves inside, where the majority of the line is. Inside it is covered and much cooler. It is actually really dark inside and my eyes always have to adjust. This ride is very colorful, very musical and very fun. If you know this movie, you are going through the story quickly. There are a few dark areas throughout the ride as well as a couple of loud parts. This rides also "stops" as well. There is not a time we have been on this that it did not have a stop for a a minute or so. This ride is designed for children, however, as an adult, it is becoming a favorite of mine. It is nice long ride, that you can sit and relax. This is a must go in the summer for us! Cool, AC, sitting down, sign me up! I would recommend this ride but only when the line is 20 minutes or less. Otherwise, wait and come back later.

At daylight hours, the tower is quite nice. However, when evening arrives with lights like the lanterns from the movie, the entire atmosphere changes and becomes much more immersive!
