Let me tell you the owner is heaven sent. Yes sometimes price maybe a little high but it's quality over quantity, and also I know I'm last minute a lot of times lol. Any problem I may have or clothing item I want fitted and I have a custom design in my head she will find a solution and it comes out perfect every time. I don't care if the price of thread and yarn goes up overnight and her price triple I'm still paying because you can't find this work no where else. It was 45 dollars for such a simple alteration which was a huge bummer. Also, it was supposed to take a week but they never called me when my dress was ready... I just went in 3 weeks later when I remembered about it and luckily it was done. She seemed like a nice lady but the price was insane! I had a single layer dress to be hemmed with no other alterations and she wanted to charge me $100! I couldn't believe it and told her I would need to go somewhere else. She ended up making me pay $15 for the time is took to measure the length for me (about 5 minutes) which I understand but that alone is quite steep. I regret not asking for an estimate before. I ended up driving 15 minutes to another shop and they told me it would be $30 for the same dress - More than three times less! I can't speak to the quality of work at World Custom Alterations but I could never pay their high prices. read more

I needed a velcro loop sewed on my uniform jacket in order to place my hook patches to the right shoulder. I brought to pieces to the shop, the loop patch to be sewn to the jacket sleeve and a reverse American flag that was given to me by a comrade. The flag meant the world to me because it came from a very brave and good friend. When I left the shop after dropping off the coat, I placed the American flag in on of the pockets of the jacket and zipped the pocket closed. One week later when the 3x5 inch patch was sewn on, I reached into the ALL the open pockets and the American flag patch was gone. Polina said I put in my coat pocket I was wearing. I know I'm old and forget my name most mornings before coffee but I didn't fall for her line. If she wanted the American flag patch I would have given her one that was never worn and for the left arm. Right arm flags are reversed so the stars lead the way and are not that common, especially when awarded to you by a friend and colleague. It was $7.00 dollars and a week to sewn on a 3x5 inch base patch holder. read more

I came in on a recommendation of a friend of mine who owns a bridal manor, I told her that I absolutely needed my dress by Saturday for my last homecoming (I'm a senior). She charged me extra for it being rushed but said it was only 30 minutes worth of work. I come in Saturday to pick up my dress and not only did she close early, but I had the landlord unlock the store so I could get my dress and it wasn't even done.
