    World Golf Hall of Fame

We came here to walk around and look at the shops. There were no shops to look at. All the stores were empty. What a shame. Such a beautiful area. All we saw was a daycare. A wedding venue and a few offices. The grounds around the fountain are beautiful. The brick walkway had famous golf legend name's engraved into the bricks. We walked into the Imax theater to check out what documentaries were playing. We got to talking to one of the ushers and he told us that the putting greens outside were shut down indefinitely. It used to be free with a Imax membership. I saw a sign for a Starbucks and one restaurant called the CaddyShack. Which I have eaten at before and was very good. You can also find the World Golf Hall of Fame here, a hotel and a beautiful golf course. It ended up being a nice short walk.

    What a location..

What a great location around the lake and fountain to have a food/ artist vendor event. Lots of diversity in food offerings also drinks-in pineapples, milkshakes, etc. some vendors are 3rd party-bath-fitters, clothes, jewelry while others are the artist makers-bath products, created jewelry, sewed clothes, gourd artist. The Golf Village has events regular to get people here and the place remembered.

Fun time lots of exhibits from past and present. They even have a day care for kids.

Very large dead bug on already dirty carpet. Because of the way it is falling apart you can tell it has been there a long time.

Looks great on the outside but the rooms are a different story. I have to come to this facility twice a year for a conference. I really have started to hate it. Each time we go we get a dirtier run down room. Many times the refrigerator is not functioning well. All the wall outlets are extremely worn, old and loose. Shower heads obviously dirty, lamps not functioning properly. Maybe years ago this worn out and unkempt hotel deserved 4 stars but that was a long time ago. Of course there may be a large dead half dried up bug on the dirty carpet like there was on mine and a friend of mines dirty floors. If the rooms had been cleaned before we checked in those dead bugs half dried corpes would not have been laying on our floors in plain site, 2nd and 3rd floors. I think they use those lint roller things to clean the carpets instead of a vacuum cleaner. You never see or hear a vacuum cleaner running there. The dirty carpet makes it so obvious. Go someplace else if you can

Wow has this property gone DOWN hill. Filthy inside the condo & all around the pool. Down right disgusting. Didn't include pool pics as the unit is bad enough. To make matters worse we called 2 weeks ago after reading reviews that indicated less than sanitary conditions... yet even after a steam clean compliments of the resort Manager Melanie - was still in need of a deep cleaning. Surface and standard cleaning would have been acceptable. For the Annual Maintenance Fees this is Robbery! Gross and unacceptable! Less than a Motel 6! Got bit by something I don't even want to think about /:

I just love this whole World Golf Village area. Being a world class golfing spot and home to such courses as the King and The Bear and Slammer and the Squire, you can imagine how beautiful the grounds are here. The main campus is surrounded by gorgeous gated communities and the golf courses are intertwined between these magnificent homes. Every year WGV has a really fun putting tournament that draws in all kinds of folks from the surrounding areas. Additionally on the campus there is an IMAX theater, the Renaissance Resort and Conference Center, 500 South restaurant, the Tour Stop golf store and of course the renown World Golf Hall of Fame. I have noticed that a lot of the small shops located in the campus have gone under so I hope that soon this business area will once again prosper and some additional shops here will be added. Parking here is always easy unless there is some sort of convention at the Renaissance Center. But valet is inexpensive and speedy when parking in the Renaissance Resort area.

On second day, they were replacing a pipe, had to shut down the water. Took them all day to replace it, and then a bust pipe! It resulted in a disaster, there was no water all day and night. Worst nightmare. The water finally came back on the next day... for a few hours, then water shut off again! This time, I was told that their landscaping guy broke the pipe. It was really bad timing because it was one day before thanksgiving. Good that it only took a couple of hours to fix it this time. At least they did something right by offering partial discount (50% off of that one night). Every employee was nice and friendly except the house keeping lady who did our room. We greeted her, but she never greeted us back, always poker face. She only cleaned the drain in the shower one time, leave the hair in the drain for the rest of our stay. She didn't give us clean towels every day, didn't clean the trash bin in the shower. I never had this bad experience before. We booked the thanksgiving meal at the hotel, the meal was good as a buffet style food. Only one hour to dine, as they rotated the tables every hour. It cost us $50 per person plus taxes and tips, alcohol drinks not included. The meal was good, but I will not do it again. Breakfast not included in the room rate.

The hotel is a circle design with the lobby in the middle with it going up many floors. Once I went up to my room on the 7th floor, it gets a little hotter the higher you go and maybe humid? The room was ok, but again maybe a bit hotter, they did have a de- humidifier in the room going, which I appreciated. But everything just a lil dated and older. I stayed here for a work conference, they have a huge space for that. Also the work banquet dinner was really good, lol

The rug in the condo had lots of disguting stains, the screen door to the patio was completely ripped so we could not leave it open. The dryer left rust stains on our clothes and the heat sensors on the dryer were not working. The ice maker was not working at all and it was turned to the "on" position. There were no batteries in the remote for the primary bedroom TV, we called and were told housekeeping would bring up batteries, they never showed up so we just ended up sharing a remote with the other bedroom. The primary bedroom doesn't have cable but the living room and secondary bedrooms do (make that make sense). We came back very late one night to someone parked in our assigned spot, we called security but he wasn't even on site (also make that make sense), so we parked in visitor parking and my husband left a note on the car stating to not park in our spot. Come to find out the next day the person who parked in our spot was housekeeping. Why is housekeeping there at 1:00 AM? And they should not be parking in spots that are reserved for guests who are renting. We also found out that housekeeping came into our condo without our permission! There is no housekeeping services, so please tell me why someone is allowed to enter without permission or knowledge? We found this out because we had a vacuum in the closet and we went to go use it and it was gone. My husband went down to the office to find out what could have happened and he was told housekeeping is allowed to enter!! I don't have proof unfortunately, but I have some very expensive makeup go missing!! It never left the bathroom and was there the night before all this happened. Hot water doesn't last very long and almost non existent after a few minutes. The grounds really need some help with clean up and landscaping. Leaves and brush keep falling into the spa's and the pools. Very disappointed in our stay and don't feel safe knowing people can just enter without knowledge.

Ceiling in bathroom has water damage and is peeling. Washer and dryer have been placed in a closet space that is too small, so doors have been removed. We stayed in Unit 8216. I am giving this unit a 2 because it is listed as a premier unit when it is…read morereally only a classic unit at best. The only thing that could possibly make it premier is the granite countertops and new cabients. Everything else is old and dated. Other people in our party stayed in other premier units that were so much nicer. The front bedroom blinds are broken, and we had to put up a sheet to keep out light at night. It still wasn't very dark. The oven door is slightly open when closed, so it's hard to bake anything. The kitchen tools and supplies are very outdated and of poor quality and mismatched. There were two coffee makers - an old one and a brand new one on the counter top -- I had to put one in a closet to get it out of the way. The closets are full of old stuff, so there's not much room for stuff like suitcaeses, etc. The blender is cracking so we could not use it. The sheets and towels are of very poor quality. The television in the front bedroom is tiny and we could never get it to work. All of the batteries were dead in the remotes, so we had to go buy some and replace them. Everything is limited -- one garbage bag, one small roll of toliet paper, and super cheap salt and pepper shaker. Most Airbnbs have the basic supplies to at least get you through the first couple of days. This one did not. If this had been labeled as a "classic" unit and was at that price point, I would have given it a 4. The unit itself could be very nice, but the owners would have to invest a little bit of money. The view is wonderful from the balcony, but the furniture is quite cheap and way to crowded. I would not recommend anyone renting this until until either it is reclassified as a classic unit and the price is lowered or until the owner brings it up to par with the premier units. The rest of the property is very nice, and the beach in this area is fantastic.

I had clearly called and asked about pools (2) bring open and was told yes on booking day. I was never told how to get into gate from beach or where to find code and got locked out... fyi gates don't unlock 1/2 the time from beach side, you must wait for someone to walk by to let you in. The small pool that is the only pool open is maxed out way past capacity. I asked for manager Renee to call about being very disappointed in our stay. I spoke with Elizabeth who said manager would call on a Monday and stated all issues about stay. Never received a callback. They just want your MONEY! This is what type of owner/ management is running this property.... Called back to property to speak to Renee and was SCREAMED at like i have never been spoken to that none of these issues were their fault. The FAULT lies that they are very untruthful and lie to get you there, checked in, and refuse to refund your money or a portion of it. If they were truthful About pool and lCk of open facilities that allows you to make your choice as to stay or not. We encountered at least 6 owners at this property that are also beyond disappointed in management and issues at the park. Blaming it on the city because they did not keep the park up is beyond disbelief. I would love to find out who owns this park and will further this investigation. DO NOT WASTE YOUR GOOD HARD MONEY TO BE SCREWED OVER. This staff of Renee and Elizabeth should be fired and not hired anywhere maybe they missed the honesty class and customer service 101.
