Of the two products I ordered on 9/26, one didn't ship until 10/4 and didn't arrive until 10/10. The other product, as of 10/23, still hasn't even shipped. I wrote an email to inquire about it, and apparently the items in my order were processed "for drop ship direct from manufacturer" and the remaining item hasn't even been manufactured yet. If I'd known it was just going to be direct from manufacturer, I'd have gone to any of the dozens of other websites offering the same thing for lower cost and with free shipping. On the positive side, at least I've received part of my order so it isn't like they've just disappeared with my money, and customer service responded on the next business day so that's nice. I'm just super frustrated that I won't receive my items within the needed timeframe despite explicitly picking a more expensive store with the items "in stock".

No place I called could give me a straight answer, but one of them recommended I reach out to Modern Lighting. They actually trialled my question on a lamp they had in house, so that I didn't have to drive to them until there was reasonable certainty they could do what I needed. They quoted me a price, and I went in the next day. Not only did they get the job done, it ended up costing less than their estimate. Very grateful to Jeff and the rest of the team that, in this day where there are few specialty experts anymore, they still exist and were super nice to boot!

For years, our outside drains were clogged, and I found myself setting up pumps during the storms to get the pools of water away from our home. Every year, I would tell myself that I would get the drains cleared. Before the rains came this past winter, I hired a company to hydro jet the pipes. They tried to clear the drains, but because they were so clogged, their equipment failed. Again, I was setting up the pumps during the rain storm. So, I researched and found Joel and Sons. I met Joel and he examined our front/back yards. He gave an excellent and fair estimate that would fix the drainage problems. In fact they did the opposite and helped me find something that was very economical for my budget. The place is impressive because they have a huge yard filled with all kinds of different rocks. They have everything from volcanic rocks to ones that look like they belong in Red Rock. They also have huge piles where you can haul rocks away in a truck for larger projects. I could not believe that they even sell giant boulders there. This is definitely my new favorite place for any rock or gardening projects. Baskin Robbin's is right next door for a quick ice cream stop. The north gate market is a few minutes walking for groceries, deli foods, and baked goods. There's a donut shop, Piara pizza, KFC, Carls Jr, Tacobell, Indian restaurant (was closed when we went), TC bakery, and Chinese deli. For nonfood stores there's a smoke shop and "dollar" store as well. Warning for late nighttime charging: At around 11:45pm, last year before Yelp made this searchable, me and another car were charging and suddenly a car pulled up blocking our way from moving forward. Someone came out to walk around and seemed to just take a look at the charging stations. But he went back into the car and they didn't move. The car stayed and it was just strange they're right in front of our cars. Good thing I still had time in my charging before idle fees would occur, they didn't leave until a police car came by the plaza but the police were actually on their way to a store in the plaza where more police cars arrived. Just a warning, probably only charge here in the daytime when everyone is around and places are open just to be safe.
