I had kind of a weird return on my first visit to this location and they allowed it with no argument. Staff was friendly Store is a bit of a cave, but I can't speak to it. Ore as I didn't really shop. It is also in the Buckhead Loop which is just a frustrating strip mall for parking and getting in and out. So just know going in your will probably have a bit of a hike from your car to the store. I recommend going right at opening in a week day if at all possible otherwise any store in this strip mall is kind of annoying to get to and from. But store was fine. I'd go back if it was the closest to me at a given time. read more

I only go here for snacks and drinks, they have very good and interesting snacks and drinks (including alcohol) some that will put you on your tail and actually taste good. The line can be a little long but the world snacks are delicious. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I ordered a chair online for next day pickup. Someone who works at the store calls me and tells me that they broke the chair and won't have it ready for pickup. Probably be 5+ days from now. I needed this chair ASAP. I work as a customer service advisor so I know things happen, but it shouldn't be this big of a delay. I called customer service and the lady on the phone was extremely rude and had the worst attitude. She said "The chair is at the store so like, I don't know what I am supposed to do. If it won't be there till Wednesday then it won't be there till Wednesday" - WOW! What a horrible attitude. I was really polite and kindly asked her if there was any way to speed shipping of a new chair or a different location I could grab it at and she disregarded everything and hung up. I then tried to reach out to another customer service representative online through chat and she basically did the same thing. Not even actually responding to the actual questions I asked, being extremely vague and short and ends the chat with No. I've attached pictures. Ridiculous for the amount of money I paid and the next day pickup, I should be guaranteed this. And at least offered a faster new pickup time than 5+ days. I'm appalled and will never waste my time or money here again. Let's all hope I actually get the chair, or I'll raise hell. read more

Been going to the previous location located off Piedmont Road next to Disco Kroger for many years. The new location now located at Buckhead Loop (next to Off Saks 5th, in same strip mall as Bed, Bath & Beyond) is about the same size as the previous one, layout is about similar. As like in the past, whenever I enter the store, I would walk straight to the back of the store where those English biscuits & candies, Taylors of Harrogate English Breakfast tea, Italian and French cookie are. Yes, I love these and especially those English biscuits and tea very much. I grew up eating those Mcvitie's digestive wheat biscuits, Rowntrees' fruit gums, Rowntrees' fruit pastilles, Cadbury chocolate fingers and even marmite since I was a kid. They can all be found here. Cost a lot more compared to in England but in my little world, they are totally worth it :) Honestly I like the previous location better. The parking here is crazier since there are many stores like Nordstrom Rack, Off Saks 5th and Bed Bath & Beyond in the same strip mall. Be sure to join the World Market Explorer Reward Program. I only have good things to say about the World Market stores. I'm the type of person will try all kinds of strange foods and snacks. And if you have the same type of palate as I, this is the place to try some of those strange eats. Beside the very beautiful furnishings, household small accessories, rugs, lamps and paintings. You can find some amazing wines here. I love that they have miniature size snacks and wines bottles for gift bags or a simple picnic. Theses stores offer so much.... If I were rating their technology and website, I would give them 1 star. They need a serious upgrade and new system. I rarely look online anymore because it takes forever for the items to load and the little walking elephant is going as fast as he can. I think their coupons are confusing - be sure to look because most of them aren't good for in-tore shopping. But, the in-store experience is different. They have great products. It's a great place to shop for unique items from children's toys to snacks. Staff knows the products, and it's easy to find help in the store. It's a fun store to shop in the store, but I have had problems with online ordering and the coupons are still a mystery to me - maybe because I'm not reading the fine print. read more

Do not buy Alicante outdoor furniture from this store. Was extremely happy with the look. Spent close to $2000 on this line. Kept it protected from the elements when not in use. Contacted them to complain because after owning for less then a year all of the wood finish has come off. Seriously, was maybe only in sun 20 times. Their response was I could return in 60 days from purchase in original packaging. We all know that's impossible. First off all pieces required assembly so even if I had packaging I'd would not be able to use. Secondly, finish changes were not noticeable until I uncovered this year for the season. I purchased outdoor patio set priced at over $2600 USD. One item was detected and upon request for replacement, company indicated th e same color would not be provided. After multiple calls they agreed to return the item for a full refund and now they are claiming they didn't receive the item And are withholding my money. World market hired a courier company of their Choice to pick up my item and now they claim the company did not return all items. Case # 45684768. I placed an order on order, # 11013136759 on 11/8. I then received an e=mail telling me my order would be late. I called to cancel the order, and was given the above case # because there was no supervisor to talk to to cancel my order. No one ever called me back. I then called again today, 11/13 and told Tatiana I wanted to speak to a supervisor. After being on hold for 22 minutes, she hung up on me. Today one piece out of three of my order arrived. No notice that it would be a partial shipment. Between the 8th and the 12th, these items went on sale, down $50. I either want the sale price, or I do not want this order. If a supervisor had called me back. I would not have received this order. This is horrible customer service. I would appreciate someone, anyone, calling me or I will have to speak to my credit card company about how to rectify this situation. read more

I have been trying to reach anyone from Cost Plus World Market from May 2, 2020, May 7, 2020, and May 12, 2020. I called the customer service and there is not even an answer after waiting for 30 minutes, I called the corporate office and held the line while pushing 0 over and over again otherwise it would just boot you off the phone for 25 minutes, I tried to reach someone on chat twice and waited for 15 minutes while they searched for anyone to just respond with a hello and no luck. I sent an email to customer service on May 2, 7, 12, and still no response at all!!! I purchased replacement seat cushions for my patio and I only received 3 out of the 4 I ordered and I can't even enjoy my patio because it looks tacky with a missing seat cushion. I can't believe how horrible the customer service is!!!!! I can't believe this is Cost Plus World Market because they're even worse than Walmart customer service in the hood!!! I will not purchase here ever again but they better refund me or send my cushion because I don't take kindly to a large corporation robbing me, the consumer!!! I see World Market/Cost Plus going the route of Pier 1. The customer service is attrocious. After much searching, I finally located an item I was looking for, but in another state. The store refused to ship even though I would have gladly paid for shipping. So I had to book a flight to go pick it up. I asked if the item could be held for 10 days. I was curtly told that the store will not hold my fully-paid-for item for more than 7 days. No exceptions. Period. The item is not large at all. It is the size of a set of bed sheets. When I complained about their policy of holding a item only 7 days, they quickly canceled my order without bothering to ask me. I already purchased a plane ticket to purchase the item and booked a room for my stay. Customer service/respect does not exist with this company. So, there you go. Always loved shopping at World Market for furniture pieces which are priced 3-5 times higher at Anthropologie. We love it more today because of the great experience we had with Paul, the gentleman who helped us purchasing two kitchen stools. They have an additional 10% off promotion on selected items which are not available online. We wanted to get them at the store and Paul took extra time to look for the items with their not so advanced inventory system device. Normally, I expect other people would have just told us the items were not available, but he didn't give up and finally found them behind all the other jumbo boxes. After waiting 4 weeks, this is how my 5 furniture items were delivered: Destroyed boxes with greasy forklift marks all over my fabric sofas and chairs. It was clear to anyone who cared that the furniture inside the boxes was far from acceptable. Customer Service told me they'd try to get someone to pick it up outside my house "in several days". Can't Refund Time Really? I was out and about today, a rare occasion during a global pandemic. I thought, I should stop at World Market so they don't go out of business. When I arrived, it was six minutes until 11 a.m. Another customer arrived. He and I both consulted our phones then watched a worker look directly at us and ... walk away. Really? This was a mistake from the beginning. Their website is never updated with shipping information, when calling you can barely get anyone and if you do they are no help whatsoever. Needless to say, days later got an email that it was shipped. Then received an email from the shipping company - stating that the items were delivered. LOL - called World Market and the rep tells me it has been lost in transit and that I will get a full refund in 21 days . This company needs to step it up in everyway imaginable. read more

There are several World market stores around Atlanta. They are all the same. You can buy stuff from a variety of countries that is not carried in many other stores. The type of items you can find here include food, wine, beer, crackers, rugs, furniture, kitchenware, ... The decor of the store is more like a flea market as mentioned by another yelper. The prices are Ok but in many cases on par with Whole Food. In many respects World market is a great complement to Farmers Market. At Whole Food and Farmers Market you can get fresh products and it is typically good quality. World Market has original crackers from Sweden, Japanese Sweets, German cutlery, so for original receipts you might be able to find the missing ingredients here. The selection is eclectic and covers a broad range of things from across the world. The service is in general not very good. Typically they are not very attentive and checkout can be really slow. read more

So yesterday, I was charged with procuring boxes to help a friend with packing-and-moving needs. Saturday is a tough day to get them from stores or restaurants, since they usually break them down quickly and put in the dumpster, and deliveries are usually on days like Tues and Fri. Hence, the nice lady at CPWM couldn't give me any - BUT the nice lady in the floral dept at Disco Kroger was able to hook me up; she just had to unpack them first, so I had time to shop at World Market! Double score! I have always enjoyed the random gift-y and food-y things you can find here. And, recently (to me), they've remodeled and re-laid-out the store in a less cluttered and more user friendly fashion. I went in thinking I'd just get a bag of the Haribo gummy bears I love (which I did) and also found some choice items for J's upcoming birthday . . . a theme started forming in my head and part one of his gift is done thanks to CPWM. A very nice lady helped me get the box done from a high shelf since the display ones were all I could reach. NPWH, definitely. Must return more often!! Oh - and I joined their "club" and it brings perks of an extra discount on special items and sale items - I think this is one of those "bonus" clubs I will actually use! read more

Sturdy, well made, all parts included and easy to understand instructions. I was able to put it together with little effort. The end product is beautiful! What a wonderful location. The employees here are always eager to help you with whatever you need. That kind of professionalism is hard to find these days. The store is also very clean and well taken care of. I always suggest this location to anyone! Keep up the good work! We were in the market for a specific set of furniture the last time we visited. I bought two chairs today that were obviously stored for quite a while. They were filthy dusty and covered in cob webs. Unfortunately, I didn't see this until I unwrapped them further and started cleaning them. In addition, the wood was discolored on the chairs. I called the store immediately, spoke to a salesperson with the detail, and left a message for the Manager. Of course, no call back. Disappointing. I won't shop there again. read more

I was given two gifts from World market, didn't have receipts, they had both in stock, these gifts were defective and without a receipt they wouldn't even give me a store credit! They don't take back jewelry or clothing without a receipt. I am guessing their food products either and that would be about 50%of their stock. Not a good policy and customer service. Usually love this store. Had a bad experience today when one of the store clerks (Kim) took to admonishing me for bringing up a side table to buy it. According to Kim, this item was clearly marked clearly as a display model. Kim was very unpleasant and seemed convinced that I would deliberately remove display items just to irritate her. When I went back to see how the items were marked in order to figure out how I could have made the mistake, I discovered that they were not clearly marked at all. I pointed this out to Kim who remained rude. I write only to point out that this was a very unacceptable way to treat a customer. What kind of sense does it make to scold customers who want to buy things? It is not professional to take your frustrations out on the customers and not good business either. Will still shop here again, but be careful to avoid Kim. read more

I am super bummed. World Market used to be one of my favorite stores. In-person they are fantastic. Online is horrendous, enough to make me never want to shop there again. I understand there is a global pandemic and some delays, but placing an order over a month ago and little to no information on when it will ship. I've opened two cases and have heard nothing back. I've called only for the phone line to say they cannot provide shipping information at this time due to the pandemic and then it hangs up on you. What's the point then of having an option?
