Bet you didn't know they did re-upholstery, did you? Neither did I until City Issue referred me to them. Apparently they do some of City Issue's mid century modern furniture re-upholstery. For starters I bought this absolutely gorgeous mid century Dux chair that was covered in this hideous stained fabric that I knew I could get redone to look more period; the price was good so I had to buy it. After I bought the chair I had an email convo with one of the designers to get a quote for my chair and ottoman. I provided her with pictures and dimensions. She gave me the quote, $350 which isn't that much considering the front and back needed to be replaced as well as the ottoman. She also asked me to come in and pick a fabric. They have loads of fabrics to choose from; all styles and all price ranges. They also will let you bring in your own fabric, which is what I did (I bought my fabric at Lewis and Sheron). They quoted me a time of when my chair would be ready. I picked it up when it was done and my jaw dropped. My chair was now pimped out and bad ass. They did a wonderful job and I am so happy that I used Nandina. That chair is now my seating pride and joy. *I will post some pictures when I get around to taking them.

Kirklands sits towards the back of the shopping center in-between the Dollar Tree and HG. Given its location, parking is never an issue! The store itself is fairly large and they have all the home décor options you have come to love and expect at a Kirklands, especially artwork, as 1/4 of the store is legit all artwork! The one thing I enjoy about Kirklands is they are constantly changing inventory and this keeps sales going and prices competitive by doing so. I really enjoy this spot during the holidays! Service is hit and miss, but I will say that I have had more good experiences than bad. The store is usually pretty busy, so rushed or less personal service can be expected...doesn't make it acceptable, but does make it understandable. Overall, Kirklands is a spot I hit when I am out browsing for things I don't know I need or want for the house.

This store really impressed me and I walked away with inspiration, shelf items to walk out with and ordered a large piece online. There's plenty of free parking to get to the two entrances - one by the cafe and the other in the seasonal decor. There's carts for standard and bulky items, flat carts for oversized items and clear tote bags for soft goods like blankets, towels, pillows, etc. There's signage and printed maps to navigate the sections of the store, QR codes on everything to order and see similar items. The sales associates are floating around with tablets to assist with measuring, colors, room design and more. I think the sales and regular price points were good. I'm also a Professional member so I get an extra 5% off. I left with some home items - Queen pillows, mattress cover, towels set and a kitchen mat. I ordered a 6-drawer dresser with the assembly service to be delivered. Stuck to my shopping list and saw inspiration for my living room project. You can save all your scans on the app or .COM page once you login. The checkout was simple and they showed me how to bring up my membership code to scan. A really pleasurable shopping experience and not as large or overwhelming as IKEA. Plus items get delivered with the option to assemble the item for $100. I'll be back to try the Cafe!
