Every aisle feels like a new adventure: teapots, cookware, gifts, art pieces... you name it, they've got it, and somehow it's always something you've never seen before. Their sales are great, their finds are endless, and I just learned they have a nutcracker scavenger hunt (tell me that isn't the cutest thing ever!). Came here to look for an interesting pancake mixture. When I approached the store I saw they were having a Golden Egg Scavenger hunt. After looking at my options for pancake mix I opted not to get any of the options because I wanted a flavor I haven't tried, but I still participated in the hunt. While looking around for the Golden Egg I was able to see the many varieties of cool things the store had to offer. After some time I ended up finding the last Golden Egg for the day. Came here because I was looking for some specific Halloween glass mugs. The staff was super friendly and helpful. There is a lot of seasonal decor right now and everything was so organized and easy to find. The prices are fair. I paid 9.99 for the glass Halloween spooky mugs. I love all the home decor and how everything is sectioned off by season. For the longest time, my favorite thing about going to cost plus world market, which is now just world market was getting different sauces, and noodles that I couldn't get at the regular grocery store, then it was to get the flavored strips to mix with my coffee or my tea, and more recently. I've just gone crazy buying all their international chocolates and gummy candies. Once upon a time I bought a dining room chair and benches for my home and the furniture held up very nicely. Very good quality. However, today 2025 I am all about advent calendars. They've stocked up nicely in November so I Can scope out exactly what I wanted and starting today they're on sale 25 to 35% off so hooray. If you're wanting to come in and get beautiful mugs are nice basic China for catering. This is a great place to get these staples. They have a huge wine selection, but I am not much of a wine drinker and they also have a lot of toiletries, candles towels, rugs. It's a really fun place to walk-through. I've shopped here frequently, buying some home items and food, but never again. Visited the store about 11 am on December 14 so yeah, it was busy. Wanted to pick up some gifts for friends but they had ZERO Hanukkah section so that gift wouldn't be purchased. Went up to the front with a few items and was yelled at by a very rude cashier (middle aged, glasses) who told me to "Move back behind the sign - the line starts there!!" Really? No please... nothing. If I hadn't been in a hurry I would have left my cart and the store without buying anything. Afterwards, I stopped by HOME GOODS. Much better selection with better prices and hey, they even had a Hanukkah section and their cashiers had clearly had some customer service training, so win win!! read more

Each time I come to this store the employees are flat out rude. They behave as if they are inconvenienced when asked questions or when they have to assist with products like finding something in their back area of the store. They refuse to call their other location in town to arrange pick up or verify they have products there. They make the customer do it. I've never seen a store refuse to communicate with another location on a customer's behalf. That's part of customer service. Sheer laziness. I would I guess this entry level, minimum wage job is all they qualify for with the attitude and work ethic displayed. Sadly, the Oracle location is no better. It's my 2nd time coming to this place and at first i thought it's a little dark than some of the store i've been to. The problem is, they haven't replaced all the light bulbs that have burned out. That aside, i am always in love with this place every time i'm here. I love all the variety of foods/snacks they have from all over the world. this is my favorite Cost Plus... for several reasons. First, you can always park close. Second, it is next to Tres Amigos so double impact shopping. Third, the staff is ALWAYS incredibly nice and helpful. I really love Cost Plus World Market! They have such an eclectic and unique variety of items from countries all over the world. The food and snack selection is fun to go through and purchase yummy items that you've never seen or heard of before (and in some cases, items that you can't even read the label because it's in Japanese or something). They have a great selection of sodas, waters, coffee, and other beverages from far and wide. They even have a decent selection of wine. If you want to get something different and interesting for someone, these items are great for that! Their holiday sections are also very cool. They have whimsical and fun stuff for most holidays - stuff that also doesn't exist in other stores. Their xmas ornaments are especially cool, as are some of the Halloween decorations they have. Their kitchenware section is a good selection of normal items, but also items that can be hard to find elsewhere. Specialty and unique utensils that make preparing cultural cuisines easier and way more fun (and authentic). This particular store is generally very clean and organized. The employees are always very friendly, but they don't walk the floor very much, so you'll probably need to go to a register if you need some help. I am trying to search my memory bank to see what originally brought me to Cost Plus in the first place... I think it was the idea of finding a bookcase. Did I find myself one, yes I sure did, at a good price. I know I am no Kenneth Brown (www.kennethbrowndesign.com) , but I rest assure that many would find this place to be awesome for young first time home buyers who need to furnish their home with inexpensive quality pieces. This is the secret which sets this store apart from Sam Levitz... okay are you ready, shhhh... almost all their pieces are 100% real wood. The only particle board or cardboard you will find is from the packaging the furniture came in. I've bought a 6ft tall bookcase, a nice computer desk (one that has doors to hide any office clutter so it looks more like a bureau when closed), and a dining table with chairs. I spent about $800 for all the above mentioned items. Besides the inexpensive furniture, this is a great place to buy fabrics, rugs, small cameos, kitchen necessities, dishes, wines, chocolates, somewhat hard-to-find and exotic food, etc. The place has a lot of stuff packed into one store. Therefore you really need the help from one of the floor assistants in navigating through the place. Most of the floor staff are pretty friendly and sometimes it seems like they are short staffed but they're really not. Its just hard to find them through the jungle of products they sell. This place appeases the aesthetics with people of all ages. However, if you're looking for plain Americana furniture, you might not always find it here. As they are a national chain they have their own website where you can shop there first before going to the store. I recently discovered this amazing place, and I wish it hadn't taken me so long! The staff, the selections, the cost- I love everything about this place. When you walk through the doors, you are greeted and you truly feel like you are transported someplace so peaceful. I have now covered every square inch of the place, the only thing I'd change is I need a large flatbed cart to get all the great items I want/need. My first experience was a curbside pick up of a great mirror. Then, in person, a large floor pillow for the puppy, some side tables, and much more. There is beer, wine, waters, snacks, coffee, lamps, I LOVE this place in case I haven't made that clear. Everyone is very nice and helpful...until you tell them you aren't a Cost Plus world member (or whatever they call their rewards program), and aren't interested in becoming a member. If I won the lottery, I would TOTALLY decorate my house with all the neat stuff here. There's a lovely mix of fancy and funky furniture, accessories, and housewares that could be combined into a decor that would probably make Martha Stewart slightly queasy and that's all right by me. Alas, I lack the budget for that sort of thing, so instead, I go here for munchies that I can't find anywhere else. After all, what better way to appreciate global culture than to try new food? Some of my favorites include Japanese Hi-Chew candy (like Starburst, but 10 times more awesome), Patak's Indian curry sauces, Australian licorice, and bubbly blood-orange lemonade from France. The alcohol selection is fairly good, too. I don't drink much and know nothing about wine, but my husband is a beer fan and has found some interesting international brews here; you can often find sampler boxes that include beverages from around the world. While the goodies are probably a little on the pricey side as well ($1.50 for a pack of Hi-Chew vs. $0.75 for a Starburst at 7-11), it's a good place to grab a few special treats once in a while. read more
