This was my first time to World Nails and Spa on my vacation and family visit in Utah. The atmosphere of the store was very professional and relaxing with good lighting and soft music. There is absolutely no weird strong smell at all, which was what I like the best! The air was super nice and fresh compared to other places. Their service was the best! They were very warm and welcome even though they were super busy. They gave me a complementary drink while waiting. At first, I didn't know what I want to be done and I told Nicky I wanted some unique design but not too flashy. Nicky recommended this design! I couldn't be any happier! I loved this place! I went with my two sisters, my mom and two nieces! 3 of us got Halloween themed manicures and 3 of us got pedicures. We would all rate this place 5 stars! They told me that the pedicures were great! I got a manicure from Andy and he was AMAZING! I showed him a picture of some spider web nails I wanted and he did exactly what I wanted, then he added the red blood drip and the "Boo" on his own and it was like he read my mind because I was thinking about doing a pop of color and something like this and he just made it happen! It was awesome! He rocked it! Very talented! This is my first time doing gel nails too and I love that they are mat black and so Halloween themed! My nieces were the ones that got the other manicures. One of them got ghosts and she showed her manicurist a picture as well and she did a great job! The other one got pumpkin stickers! We all left very happy! The massages were awesome and the dipping your hands in wax thing that they do at the end felt so good and made our hands so crazy soft! We loved it! Such a fun family outing! DO NOT GO HERE! I have been going here for almost two years. It's always busy but they fit you in. I usually get a mani pedi with gel. My last and final time visiting there I had an appointment, per usual, I waited a good 20 min to get sat down, pretty normal. The person who was going to begin with my nails, normally did pedicures but hey they seemed short staffed and over booked. I was sat down and the nail tech pulled out a drawer, took out a bowl with nail clips to soak gel polish off fingernails. He pulled the old used cotton out of the nail clips reapplied acetone and set them on my nails. I was shocked!!! Used cotton from someone else!!! Additionally, He had a mask on but he was sneezing and coughing. I looked in his eyes and they were glazed over. I said to him, "You don't feel well do you?" He just started at me with no reply. He then Went over to get his pencil box over by where they do the pedicures. Inside were his tools to work on my nails. They were dirty and not sterilized at all. Inside the box had dust from filing nails. Gross!! I stood up and said, "You're done!! I'm not doing this!" The owner tried to get me to stay but I was grossed out, so I left. 3 days later I got sick with omnicron covid!! Thanks for that!! I'll never go back. I did report them to the health department and will continue to warn those I know to always look for best practices to stay safe. read more

I made an appointment for a mani/pedi over a week ago. When I arrived ( on time) I had to wait for 20 min to get a 20 minute manicure. No hand massage , just a rush job. While I was waiting for my manicure I noticed people coming in after me , stating they had appointments as well and they also ended up waiting quite a while. After I finished my manicure, I was directed to the pedicure chair where I waited another 20 minutes , at this point I needed to leave. I understand they are busy but isn't that the point of an appointment? Appointments should be honored. Basically you are saying my time is not as important as yours. My first time going to world nails and spa and I'm majorly impressed. I got a full set of coffin acrylic for 50 bucks. The polish is gel on top. It would have been 45 but I had to get the old set removed. The whole thing took an hour. He used lotion to massage my hands and a hot towel as well. He took his time on the filing and made them all look sharp and uniform (I'm OCD) when it comes to filing. I didn't get a design but they said they could recreate anything I wanted if I had a pic. They also have chrome polish which is hard to find. I got Erich he was very good! read more

This was my third time to the salon. My other two times I had a nice experience. However the third time they made me wait 30 minutes and kept saying it would just be a few minutes. I had another appointment so I kept saying I'll just schedule another time and they insisted that it would be fine. So then I started to get my nails done and they told me it would only take 35 minutes originally but the girl that was helping me said I needed a new set so I said we probably can't get that done in 35 minutes and she agreed. So I said well I'll just come back tomorrow and get my new set but in the meantime let's take the nails off which she did - it took less than 3 minutes. When I asked how much it cost she said $10 (after she had asked her Manager). I asked why it was so much since it's only five dollars when you get your nails done to take them off. And I said since I had to wait a half an hour can I get a discount -she asked her manager again and the manager said no. That is not good business and at this point I will never be back. The gal that was helping me was very sweet and apologized and I tipped her but the manager had zero customer service skills and Having a customer wait 30 minutes I would've thought taking off my own nails would've been a complementary service or even five dollars. It's not about the money it's about the point. Crazy someone lost a customer over five dollars and a not happy Yelp review. read more

I usually really like this place to get my nails done, but this time their customer service was extremely poor. I had called earlier that day for an appointment for 3 of my friends and I (2 gels, acrylic, and a fill) at 1:30. We showed up on time for our appointment and the manager proceeded to tell us that there was only an appointment for the acrylic set and fill under my name, which was incorrect since I confirmed twice on the phone call that morning. At this point, I was irritated but okay with waiting. So 2 of my friends went ahead and my other friend and I waited for an hour and a half with no acknowledgement and no updates as to when we would get our nails done. Finally, at 3 they started working on our nails and while my service was fine my friend's gel color was nothing like what she wanted (pictures attached). Another one of friends finger was burned by super glue as well. Overall, I try to be patient, but this is the second time I've called ahead for an appointment and then not received timely and professional service. I don't think calling ahead makes any difference with this place and it would be better to either walk-in and expect a long wait or go somewhere else. I have gone several times and have always waited at least 15 minutes for my appointment, usually more. Three times I have made appointments with a particular person and then when I've gotten there I was told one time that that particular person was on vacation. Another time I was told she didn't work there anymore even though I had made the appointment that morning! Another time I was told the person I was supposed to see was overbooked and couldn't possibly see me. Each of those times they told me I could see someone else after I'd already waited 15-20 minutes. In addition to their poor time management skills, I can't help it feel they aren't being honest. I think their philosophy is to get you in the door no matter what. Then they will just stick you with anybody who has time...eventually. I also feel they constantly try to upsell you on things you don't want or need. I was given a pedicure by a young man who seemed noticeably irritated when I told him I didn't want gel polish for my pedicure. I explained that regular polish always lasted just fine with me. I didn't pay enough attention when he was working on my toe nails but when I left I found he only gave me one coat of polish and no topcoat, so of course it wore off much sooner...just like he promised it would. Guess that was the one time they were honest, kind of. I was really pushed to completely remove my nails and get a whole new set, which I agreed to. Of course I had to pay to have the old nails removed and I paid extra to have a new set as opposed to just getting a fill. Within two weeks every single one of my brand new nails came off. Guess what, they still charge you to replace nails that have come off even though they are the ones who did them for you. I'll bet that's a great moneymaker for them. Overall customer service is not their forte. Unfortunately making money seems to be the most important thing to them. read more

They do a terrible job at full acrylic sets. I had to go to a different salon to get it fixed because it was just so awful. It was bumpy and SO thick and didn't go all the way to the cuticles. This was the best place that I've ever went for mani and pedi. They had a lot of staff, I didn't have to wait long, and 1 person spent an hour on me! She did more on my hands and feet for a standard mani and pedi then any other salon shop has done. It is about 10 dollars extra but well worth the price. Defiantly will go there again read more

Loved getting a pedicure in a very clean environment, by friendly people who made you feel like one of the family. I enjoyed the Salt exfoliation and hot stone massage. I was so relaxed I almost fell asleep. Calvin was so nice and did an amazing beautiful toe nails I can be proud to show off while we're on vacation in California. You must try this place! We tried this place for the first time. They do a very good job but they charge more for doing a good job than other places. The reason for the 3 stars is due to the speed of service. I had a gel pedi and gel mani. I loved the pedi but the mani was par and on top of that, they charge extra for certain gel colors which is not advertised anywhere. I spent a little over 3 hours there for these 2 services. Also, I had an appointment and ended up waiting 22 minutes for an open chair for a pedi. A couple girls came in a couple minutes after I did and they had no appointment. They were taken in at the same time so an appointment is a waste of time because they are the typical nail shop who takes in everyone regardless of staffing. I have been going to the salon since they opened, and even before they opened, when they were in another salon. I drove 20 minutes away and have become very disappointed with this salon. I went there 3 weeks ago, and after waiting near 45 minutes to get a fill and pedicure they finally got to me. Today, my appointment was for 2:15. I waited for Chris one of the owners and after 20 minutes she wanted me to go with another person to do my fill. Another person walked in while I was waiting and she took that person before me. This other manicurist was new and I had no idea how good he was, so I declined and decided to leave. This is bad business management. I did leave and came eight back to let Calvin one of the owners know how I felt. I will never go back and I have several friend that go there, and I will let them know what happened. I had been with Calvin for 3 years. They have lost my business. Beware, this salon is extremely busy, you will have to wait for your services I felt insulted. They do no have you sitting 6' apart either. Shame on them. I will call the health department about distancing. read more
