Overall, the chicken strips were medium to big sized and were cooked well. However, some of the flavors were underwhelming, especially the garlic Parmesan and blazing Buffalo hot. The other flavors were actually pretty good; my favorite was the chipotle ranch which had a amazing flavor! It's a good valve for the amount of chicken you receive. Would suggest that if you are not able to finish eating them on one day, do not eat them the next day as leftovers because they lose their freshness and flavors become extremely stale; also, the chicken dries up fast. It was a little harder than I thought it would be. This is what happened: I made a mistake of not calling my orders in, but for my own defense I had never been to this place before myself, and I really didn't know what to order so I really didn't have any choice but to go in. Now that I picked the take out menu up for future reference, I would always call my order in when I want to eat their wings. It took me 50 minutes+ to get my food of mere 10 pcs. of wings after I placed my order at the front counter. If I'd known it would take so long, I certainly would've called it in to save some time. It seemed the cashier was taking care of the phone in orders before filling in-person orders. I felt like I wasted some precious time just waiting for my food to come up. Having said that, my wings were very good. I ordered 10 traditional wings with two flavors--Sweet Teriyaki and Caribbean Jerk for $9.99 before tax. Wings were coated very lightly and done to perfection. Just as the name suggests Teriyaki sauce was very sweet, but not overly sweet that I couldn't enjoy it. Now, Caribbean Jerk tasted like just having some salt flavor. I didn't even taste any pepper--I wasn't really expecting that at all. Customer service was just OK. The cashier/server was pleasant enough, but I really don't know if this girl likes to be doing her job or not. Absolute waste of money! Previously, World of Wings served decent sized, savory wings. Now, the wings are an absolute insult to the paying customer. These things are TINY. Also, I'm in total agreement that something is wrong with the soda fountain. The drinks taste awful and smell something like a moldy wet rag or an old urinal. I've eaten here several times and never had a bad meal. I want to give this place 4.5 Stars instead of 5 stars because there are a few things that could have been better. The first time I went I got the boneless wings and the catfish. The catfish was really good and the wings we're good. Now for the not-so-good, I called in the order and I figured the 5 piece catfish and only one tartar sauce would be a little lean so I asked for an extra tartar sauce ($.75) and picked it up. When I got home no extra tartar sauce even though they charged me for it. I was expecting the small containers of tartar sauce but it is quite large and plenty enough for the catfish, and the catfish was very good. My only other issue was with the boneless wings, they were big chunks a chicken, not nuggets, but I thought the crust could be crunchier and it seems like they just drizzled the sauce on it, the ends and the bottom had very little sauce if any and hardly any sauce in the bottom of the container. But they were good. About a week later I picked up another order of the boneless hot wings and tried a few different flavors, this time they had a good amount of sauce but they do get a little soggy, they would have been awesome if it would just have been a little cruncher. Tonight I picked up an order of traditional hot wings and tried their chicken strips, wow very good. The wings were decent size and nice and crunchy, I tried the fiery hot, pretty hot with a little bit of vinegar taste, and The Spicy Big Texas BBQ , also pretty hot with a little sweetness and barbecue taste, both were very good. I wasn't expecting much from the chicken strips but I was impressed. Decent size chicken strips nice and crunchy but not dried out covered in their candy bacon sauce, I will definitely be getting that again.
