The taste left so much to be desired. While the sauce itself was good, it didn't leave much else: texture, seasoning, etc. It's very big (and noisy) which is to be expected, the sports vibe feel was great but the venue size and sound drowned out the music. The customer service and hospitality was also lacking here. When getting back to work, I found that they had failed to include an order of pulled pork tacos, and my drink. They couldn't even have enough sense to include utensils or napkins. I have visited The Shack Wings & Brews on Woodrow Bean Transmountain for many years. The Shack is a sports bar with an outstanding facility. They have approximately twenty TVs, not including the huge projector they have outside on their beautiful green patio-covered area; their patio area has outside heaters, so the area can also be used when cold outside. The shack has bar seating, regular-sized tables, high chairs and tables, and some booths inside. Size-wise, this place is great for groups, but every time I visited with a group and the staff was notified ahead of time, the sports bar fell short of customer service and served food promptly. After many times of having the same experience, the big group I visited with decided to switch locations for future meetings. The Shack's food and drinks are okay, not terrible or amazing. I do appreciate that their menu offers healthy and fresh salads and that the salads are good. When not visiting with a group, customer service is the same as their food, not terrible but not amazing either; it's okay, and if you feel like having wings, drinks, and watching the game, this can be a great place. The Shack is a great place to catch a game. 20+ TV's, cold beer, tasty wings and fries and tons of sauce options. The Shack is the most 'normal' sports bar atmosphere in El Paso in my opinion and the large covered outdoor patio is incredibly inviting. The Shacks outdoor patio is flanked by 2 other really exceptional businesses that are shipping containers stacked one on top of the other. This place is really reminiscent of something I would see in Phoenix and makes me feel at home. They often host live music on the patio during the weekend and have a large projector as well. They are currently under construction on a new building on the West side in the Cimarron area which has me doubly excited so that I don't have to drive over the mountain to get my fix in the near future! I'm not sure if the West side concept is going to be like the North East but I sure hope so! read more

This is definitely a Happy Hour kind of place; they have good drink and food specials. The place was pretty busy by 5 P.M., but they had plenty of waitresses on duty. So no, I did not post any photos of the wait staff because the uniforms are very skimpy- BUT, BUT I have to give them credit. The waitresses are not models or Barbie's; they are the typical girl next door - and not Hefner's "girls next door". They are ALL shapes and sizes; they are friendly and sweet and treat the female customers respectfully. I had met some gal pals for a cocktail and conversation and we were treated well. And the food! The food is very good! I had the Monte Cristo sandwich and it was delicious- it was the best in El Paso so far because it was deep fried- and we know everything tastes better when it is deep fried.
