I have visited The Shack Wings & Brews on Woodrow Bean Transmountain for many years. The Shack is a sports bar with an outstanding facility. They have approximately twenty TVs, not including the huge projector they have outside on their beautiful green patio-covered area; their patio area has outside heaters, so the area can also be used when cold outside. The shack has bar seating, regular-sized tables, high chairs and tables, and some booths inside. Size-wise, this place is great for groups, but every time I visited with a group and the staff was notified ahead of time, the sports bar fell short of customer service and served food promptly. After many times of having the same experience, the big group I visited with decided to switch locations for future meetings. The Shack's food and drinks are okay, not terrible or amazing. I do appreciate that their menu offers healthy and fresh salads and that the salads are good. When not visiting with a group, customer service is the same as their food, not terrible but not amazing either; it's okay, and if you feel like having wings, drinks, and watching the game, this can be a great place. The Shack is the most 'normal' sports bar atmosphere in El Paso in my opinion and the large covered outdoor patio is incredibly inviting. The Shacks outdoor patio is flanked by 2 other really exceptional businesses that are shipping containers stacked one on top of the other. This place is really reminiscent of something I would see in Phoenix and makes me feel at home. They often host live music on the patio during the weekend and have a large projector as well. They are currently under construction on a new building on the West side in the Cimarron area which has me doubly excited so that I don't have to drive over the mountain to get my fix in the near future!
