    Fried Snapper

So so good!!! This place is pick up only. I ordered fried sole and snapper. I wish I had added on orange roughy. 4 of us devoured 3 pounds of fish. Yum!

The fish, shrimp and oysters are seasoned very good it actually surprised me. The potato salad and macaroni salad are good as well. This is a walk up window and the man taking your orders is very friendly and helpful. You Conley come into contact with the owner and the people pulling in to order so the ambiance is eating in your vehicle or taking you food home.

Shrimp and fries.. I wish they used seasoned salt instead of regular salt on fries lol.. it's still amazing

Good fried fish and shrimps. Flavorful. The menu has changed and so has the prices, but still good.

Was suggested this place by a friend. Place looks super sketchy outside BUT the fish (Catfish Fillet) was REALLY good! I got the lunch special with 3 pieces of Catfish, and it came with like 4/5 pieces of shrimp. Wasn't a big fan of the shrimps, fries were hard cooked.. I like soft fried. The Catfish Fillet WAS REALLY good, definitely recommend that. That's it.

This place is very simple from the exterior but their plates offer great flavor. Well seasoned and cooked to perfection, this place was worth the wait. The sides we chose were French fries and the macaroni was recommended. Fries were very crispy as we like them. I believe the dinner roll was kings Hawaiian. Either way, not being from the area, but seeing the yelp reviews and all of the customers that came and went as we waited spoke volume. If I'm the area we would try something else on the menu. It was perfect for no meat Fridays for lent. Well priced and large portions.. along with great service is what we really appreciated. Only down side was no exterior seating. That's ok.. we are in our cars

3rd time's a charm, and by "charm," I mean I finally confirmed that the problem was never me…read more The first time I purchased king crab from this market, I bought two bags at $175 each. When we cracked the legs open, there was a thick, rubbery, shell-like layer wrapped around the meat. We assumed we had overcooked it, accepted our $350 lesson, and took it on the chin. Against my better judgment, I returned and spent nearly $385 on 2 five-pound bags of king crab and a bag of shrimp. The shrimp were fine. The crab? Same problem. Initially, I steamed a few legs for about 10 minutes and thought, "Okay, maybe I overcooked it again." Thankfully, I had only removed what I planned to eat and kept the remaining legs frozen. Today, I decided to test that theory. I removed three legs, steamed them for 5 minutes.... Literally set my timer for 5 minutes and what do you know, same exact result. As the pictures show, this is not the crab's normal thin membrane. The hard outer shell literally separates from a second, soft shell underneath it, leaving very little edible meat. I paid for king crab, not an expensive scavenger hunt for actual crab meat. At these prices, customers should not be sold poor quality, double-shelled crab legs. After spending more than $700 here across 2 visits and having the same issue each time, I'm officially done conducting experiments. This market has had multiple opportunities, and unfortunately, the crab failed every time. 3rd time's a charm because there definitely won't be a 4th

Long Time Customer Experience I've been coming here for…read moreyears. This is the spot my family has always trusted for fresh chicken. When I was younger, you could actually see the chickens in the back (everything was blocked from view, but you'd hear the machines). Now everything is closed off, but the chicken still tastes fresh and the quality seems the same. My mom swears it's the best chicken you can get. Product Quality & Variety I mostly buy the chicken, but they sell other meats and products too. I've seen duck eggs, regular eggs, and different cuts of meat. Even though I haven't tried their beef, everything looks fresh. Prices can be a little on the higher side, but the quality makes up for it. Food Service Service is always quick and straightforward. You tell them what you want, they get it fast, and you're out. There's usually only one or two people ahead of me, and only during holidays does it really get packed. They accept Apple Pay, cash, and EBT, which is super convenient. Hours & Convenience The only downside is the early closing hours usually around 5 p.m., and Sundays/Mondays even earlier at 1:30 p.m. Also, parking is rough. It's hard to find a spot, so we usually go in pairs: one person gets down, the other loops around the block. Ambiance It's a small, traditional Hispanic-style meat and poultry market. Everyone there speaks both English and Spanish, and it has that classic, butcher shop feel. It's clean, simple, and focused on the meat...nothing fancy, but familiar and efficient. Overall Fresh chicken, fast service, friendly staff, and long time trust from my family. Parking and early closing hours are the only real issues. But for quality, this is still our go-to spot.

Had a real quick trip here recently, and I'd be less and honest if I didn't say I was a bit bummed…read more I actually found what I came here for (I needed some British double heavy cream) for a particular dish, though I couldn't help but reminisce when this location used to be in Culver city. There are a number of reasons why the Culver City location was so much better, but perhaps the main drawback at this LA location is the fact that the former had a real sense of ambiance, and uniqueness, particularly when it came to its cozy little cafe section. Now the "cafe" is pretty much just a space within a space. Another real draw to the Culver City location was the fact that they actually had a separate section where "Guest Chefs" could come in and teach entire classes via cooking classes that sometimes you have to sign up for in advance, and other times you could just kind of walk in on it. That was dope! And while the staff was friendly enough, and again ( don't get me wrong it's still a place that I will be back to to purchase much needed product), it's just an unfortunate reality that sometimes no....you can't duplicate the past.
