I've ordered from here a few times to see if they were any good, and it's been hit or miss with certain items. The fried shrimp are great especially if you get it with the Cajun seasoning, it's not greasy and it holds its heat so your food isn't cold by the time you get it home. It's strictly a take out place, so no ambiance, but it is clean. The sides need help though, the potato salad and coleslaw are bland and come in a really small portions, and I've ordered the fries TWICE and asked for them to be crisp but you get limp! And call and check on the operating hours to make sure they're not closing, the posted hours online don't match actual working hours, they stop taking orders a half hour before they posted closing time. I give the fish frying 5 stars, but the rest gets a 3 until they get it together. read more

We found this restaurant/market while looking for some fish. Boy did it deliver! My first impression is that it was super simple and efficient to place our phone order. I was able to use the menus posted here on yelp to decide what we wanted. We landed on 2 fried red snapper dinners with fried zucchini, hush puppies, and potato salad on the side. The red snapper was lightly seasoned (I could've used maybe a little more salt, but it wasn't bad at all). The breading was light and crispy while the fish was firm and flaky. The potato salad was fine, it wasn't very mustard heavy. The zucchini was battered similarly to the fish. It was nice and crispy with the zucchini being tender. The hush puppies were well seasoned as well with a crispy outside but dense but not too heavy center. Oh and I don't like the tartar sauce, but this tartar sauce was delicious with a little hot sauce mixed in to cut the sweetness. The market looked clean and tidy. The service was pleasant. Someone bought me red snapper from The Fish Market and I've been thinking about it every since. I finally stopped by and I got a red snapper combo with fried chicken and pickle vegetables with zucchini fries. The fisher is seasoned very well and the customer service is good when you walk in they have a few chairs and a bench for sitting while you wait for your food. They have different items for sale like Roman noodles and slices of cake. They are located in a small shopping center so the parking lot is shared but I don't think there's a big issue with finding a spot because most of the stores in the shopping center or basically people coming and going. read more

I was heading into Ralph's to get some "you buy, we fry" catfish and spotted this place across the street. Figured I'd give my money to a local spot rather than Ralph's and I'm happy I did. I first went to see how much amount of catfish cost to use as a point of reference. I ordered while walking out of the store and had time to get some egg rolls from Egg Roll Bae (that'll be another review). There's plenty on parking and the door was already open ( I hate touching surfaces unnecessarily). The inside is clean and I implore you to check out the dessert counter first. The cashier was helpful and let me pick out my dessert :). I ordered a pound of catfish and a piece of sweet potato butter cake. The fish was cooked perfectly and did not have that dirty fish taste that you get with some places. Who ever is picking the fish needs to keep doing it! It was also perfectly seasoned. That sweet potato butter cake was the perfect addition. It was an impulse buy I do not regret and thank you to the couple that was ahead of me and drew it to my attention. I will say that if you order your fish by the pound, just go ahead and buy a dinner. It's cheaper and you get sides and only about 3 fewer pieces of fish than if you buy a pound, you'll come out ahead.
