My Husband and I made a quick weekend trip to Pinetop on a whim and chose to stay here based on the reviews. We were not disappointed. Everything from the staff at check-in, maintenance staff we encountered on the grounds, the facilities etc. all exceeded expectations. There are 3 Jacuzzis on site, which was one of the main reasons we chose to stay here. There is one at the back of the complex, which is covered and is the LARGEST hot tub we have ever been in. Everything was well kept, manicured, clean and well thought out. The room we stayed in was the studio with Murphy bed. At first I was skeptical when my Husband booked it however it was SPACIOUS for a studio and the layout allows a ton of natural light, they even leave a "welcome" basket, which was a great touch! Every single room here will have a view of the woods, so you won't ever be disappointed! The only downside I can see is that there is no A/C, and while it is the Mountains, it still gets hot in the summer. I would not stay here during the Summer when temps reach almost 100. read more

Don't EVER come here in the summer. Our biggest issue with this hotel by far, is that they have no air conditioning whatsoever. My family and I are dying of heat. The toilets barely work, it takes at least three tries to get it to flush. Not to mention, the bugs crawling around in my bed?! This place is disgusting. If you need anymore convincing of how terrible it is here, there are so many hornets flying around the pool. That probably doesn't have anything to do with the hotel itself, but nevertheless, it made my experience here even worse. It's leading me to believe that theres a nest near the hotel, which they should definitely take care of. This trip has been very disappointing for us. We stayed at this hotel a couple years back, and it wasn't NEARLY this bad. This place has definitely gone severely downhill, which is very sad considering how beautiful Pinetop is. Maybe its better in the winter, but I'll never find out because I'm never coming back here. read more

Was not sure what to expect when stayed here. Is quiet and not a lot of people. Forest is out back. Have to drive to get anywhere. Room wasn't ready and people not very helpful. Was told multiple times had 25 check ins that day so they seemed overwhelmed. They didn't offer any information and when asked about skiing or off roading no one knew the answers. Couldn't find items for game room and wasn't given a map or told about anything at check in. Room was updated and neat. A little cramped but homey. Loved the fireplace. read more

We booked and confirmed 5 months prior a 2 bedroom unit. I called aprox 5 days b4 arriving asking for ground floor, as we are both 74 years old. Was told they will see what they can do. We checked in with our 2 bedroom confirmation paper, trudged Upstairs carrying 4 luggage, looking for 2 bedrooms and to my surprise seeing only 1 bedroom!!! What!! The check-in clerk did not say any word about a 1 bedroom at all! I had to call Wyndham to which they informed me "an agent" canceled our 2 bedroom and we were notified by email. We were not!!! What if we had other people traveling with us? No apologies were made at all! And the toilet paper was cheaper than an outhouse! And they call themselves Worldmark?! Their water was horrible, made me itch from linen and showers. read more

We were very happy with our stay here, with the exception of the fee to use their internet, $49, every other hotel that we stayed at over the course of 16 days all over AZ was included in the price of the hotel. Other than that, the unit that we stayed in was furnished nicely, it was comfy & had a lot of windows for a lot of light to come in. The balcony patio with the BBQ was nice, although we were only there for two nights & didn't use it. Having a washer/dryer w/laundry soap provided for two loads was wonderful since we were on an extended vacation. The bed was comfortable & although we didn't use it, the murphy bed is great if you're a family of four! The grounds are well taken care of & the pool area is very nice, the perk was the rec room with ping pong, shuffle board, air hockey, a fitness room & a "living room" to congregate in if you're traveling as a small group. All in all, a very affordable stay for an entire condo! read more

What a Very peaceful place. I would definitely recommend this place. Staff is nice, grounds are well kept, and quiet. The condos have a w/d, full kitchen and fully stocked. Their recreation center has video games and a pool table. There's also tennis along with pickle ball courts. However, our one bedroom smelled a bit sour the entire time we were there. (Might have been a garbage disposal issue or old cloth used for cleaning. And I Didn't feel like purchasing cleaning supplies!) The king bed was a bit lumpy. Furthermore, the little gym has a broken elliptical that stays on level one. No AC in any of the rooms either. But it is pretty cool outside AND they tell people ahead of time that they have no air. I woke to a white Christmas Eve.  Flakes of snow fell from the sky.  Tiny flakes caught on the wind and floated down in random patterns.  Trees were coated in snow and became white.  It was a lovely transformation as the night before they were a deep green.  HR-V was covered in a blanket of white for the first time.  It was a lovely contrast between the black car and the white snow.  It was my first time staying in the mountains and having a white Christmas.   Pinetop-Lakeside, Arizona is a small town of around 4,000.  At an elevation of 6,804 there is a good chance of snow when there is a winter storm.  I love seeing Ponderosa Pines everywhere.  It's relaxing here away from the busy city I'm use to. I've stayed at the Worldmark here twice.  Full size fridge is big enough hold all my ice packs plus 4 half gallons of Blue Bell ice cream.  Staff is friendly and helpful.  Condo's are well insulated against the cold weather with dual pane low-E windows.  I loved staying here.  The only things that would make my stay even better would be a larger freezer, big whirlpool tub.  Hooking up my laptop to the HDMI port was a bit tricky.  Tv needed to be set to either channel 101, 102, or 103 depending on which HDMI port you plug into. One problem we had with the Worldmark is the lack of insulation between floors.  If you are on the ground floor you will hear all the walking of the people above you.  Another problem is if you lose something management won't look for it till the next guest moves out.  In Maggie's case the next guest stole her rolling pin.  That was strange as I guess that next guest was a thieving baker... Pinetop some good places to eat.  Darbi's Cafe has some great tasting dishes while Grumpy Jake's has some good bbq.  The Chalet has great tasting bread. Pinetop-Lakeside reminds me a bit of Julian, CA except there are a lot less tourists.  I loved staying at Pinetop-Lakeside watching snow falling down and painting the world white. Both rooms I booked were not ready by check in time. One was 2 hours and 8 minutes late. One was 25 minutes late. Paid $1020 and don't get to enjoy all the time I paid. for. Extremely poor customer service. No apology. Need more employees and need to train them. read more

No A/C Basic living room furnishings with no pillows - so couch was uncomfortable Master bath has a sliding door with a pull that is hard to open/close, so almost got locked-in Shades are pretty hard to pull up/down with chain Maintenance: Windows were dirty, ceiling fans were dusty, dining room light had cobwebs grill was dirty with charred cooking remains at bottom - gross! (was very smoky when grilling) Virtually out of hand soap in hall bath and very noisy (squeaky) door. Cable TV had no access to Netflix, Amazon, Disney, etc. Standard at other lodging companies (Smart TV or Cable apps). WiFi was not included! Seriously? In this day & age? I can get free WiFi at Starbucks, Burger King, etc. WorldMark has an archaic, oblivious mentality that believes WiFi is an Elite member offering. Lodging companies have been including WiFi as an essential, standard service for the last 10 to 20 years for all guests. I would not recommend WorldMark to anyone. read more

We booked a 2 bedroom condo at the WorldMark in Pinetop, Arizona for Labor Day weekend. We booked this really far in advance as we know they fill up quickly. After taking a day off of work, pre-paying for dog sitting, and making all other necessary accommodations, Worldmark contacted us less than 48 hours before our trip and let us know that our reservation was canceled due to VIP owners/renters deciding to come. When talking with them they had no solutions or re locations available and basically told us sorry you aren't VIP so you come last. They initially told us that booking through Expedia is not recommended because that can happen. However, when asking more questions they told us that it can also happen when booking through them and that it's really likely to happen during holiday weekends. Basically saying anytime you book, just know that there's a good chance we will cancel it. We were also told we are lucky they didn't cancel the day of because that happens to many people. Imagine driving your family there to find out you don't actually have a reservation you already paid for. We are out money, have some super disappointed kiddos, and lost all respect for this company. Save yourself the hassle and disappointment and book elsewhere. read more

Greetings from Pinetop! Our first time booking at this resort in Arizona. We booked a studio unit (max occupancy of 2 and they enforce the allowed occupancy for each unit on all WorldMark resorts). Our studio unit came with a Queen Murphy bed in the living area and a mini kitchen... a 2-burner stove, microwave oven and refrigerator. No dishwasher but we had an oven as the one-, two- and three- bedrooms do. We didn't use the gas fireplace but it is there if we wanted to use on cold nights. We were on the ground unit so we didn't have a deck but we had a little outside patio which included a gas barbecue grill. The location is beautiful and the crisp mountain air cool and refreshing. The units have a log cabin style of living and is cozy. This resort is surrounded by White Mountains and ponderosa pines. Hubby is fascinated with Bigfoot and was hoping to get a sighting during our stay... no such luck. LoL! All WorldMark resorts come with a "starter" supply of spices, coffee, creamer/sugar and some basic toiletry items but if we had to run out for some sundries and other things or if we wanted to cook or barbecue in-house our nearest grocery store was Safeway which was some 3 miles from the resort. There was also a WalMart further down. This resort is located 7,200 feet above sea level, which may take some getting used to (I didn't have any problem with it), but if you're used to living at lower altitudes you may require some temporary adjustment. Where we come from in Roseville, the elevation is 165 feet above sea level. We stayed at the Santa Fe WorldMark Resort once which was 7,320-feet above sea level and we had no issues at all. We head to WorldMark Pinetop four or five times per year. We call it our home away from home. Set in a beautiful pine forest, each unit is beautifully designed with one, two or three bedrooms. I think most units include a murphy bed too. You will have a full kitchen, with pots and pans, utensils, and even spices and coffee. Don't forget the washer and dryer and full size BBQ on each patio. The staff is wonderful and Greg, who is in charge of maintenance, and just an all around great human, is one of the best people you will ever meet. We had a dead battery a few months ago and Greg saved the day. He even referred us to an automotive shop that could help us. You can hike the grounds behind the complex and get back to nature too. Lots of little creatures that will make you smile. I'm sure we'll be back soon. You should try them out too. read more

The room is old and dated. And, if you like second hand smoke, this is the place to stay! No one seems to care when you take your complaint to Guest Services. People smoke in Arizona, I get that! But, why don't you move them to a smoking only building? Like, one 2 blocks away from people who want to stay healthy during Covid. read more

Very disappointed! We've been owners for more than 13 years. I was told that we could not request a downstairs unit even though my wife is unable to walk upstairs and there is no way to request a downstairs unit. Robert was completely clueless where room assignments are made. He was completely useless to get a downstairs unit for a person with a disability. Guess they have not heard of the ADA. Still waiting for for managers to call me back. Thanks for the message. Funny thing is you have all my notification being an owner and I waited for three days for a contact. My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here and it was truly a wonderful experience! We were immediately in love with the tall pine trees surrounding the resort style cabins. There's plenty of things to do including a Recreation room full of games, air hockey, ping pong table, pool table, video arcade games , a gym with up to date weights , treadmill and elliptical machines. There is a vending machine with snacks and a nice cozy fireplace with comfy chairs to just relax. Pool jacuzzi , tetherball, tennis and basketball court. We relaxed , played, hiked and rented a paddle boat that is close to the resort , at Rainbow lake. Highly recommend this squeaky clean and super stocked with the convinces of home including your own bbq. read more

Stayed here 2 nights during off season. Good, friendly customer service. Spacious, clean, quiet, 2 bedroom condo with a small forest to look out at from your window and to stroll around. I love the firmness of the beds. Though the condos don't come with the usual hotel toiletries, just ask the front desk. Plenty of outside amenities: swimming pool (for some reason bugs were attracted to it, but just ask the employees to clean it), 2 jacuzzis (though the jets of the uncovered jacuzzi were broken) basketball court tennis court volleyball net ping pong small gym with fairly new equipment pool tables (paid) air hockey (paid) Each condo has a BBQ grill on its patio. You do have to drive or ride your bike to go to the market and restaurants. CON: You have to pay for WiFi in your condo. They do have 1 computer to use in the front office for your internet needs and a printer, but the internet is a little slow. read more

First off I would like to say my boyfriend and I were very excited for our first getaway together kid free and we found this place that seemed lovely in all sorts of ways. We arrived Friday .. well Saturday morning late and we went to check in to come and find out that our reservation was not there , after spending about 30 min with a man who didn't seem to know what he was doing he was able to get us into a "studio" which we reserved the one bedroom , so no big deal it was just for the night and since it was only a Couple hours till the staff came in we sucked it up and said ok . My boyfriend and I joked about the mishap and went on to go into the room . As we walk in we notice the size of the studio and decide hey it's way bigger and seems nice so we will make the best of it , we only being there about 10 min notice the fire place is on , and continue to walk around the room to find the nightmare of disgust . As we go into the bathroom there are someone's shampoo bottles open labeled with their own labels , toilet seat is up with pee on the toilet , the trash can was heaping with used feminine products a gift bag sat on the bathroom counter , the kitchen was Pretty tidy with the dining chairs moved as if someone were just sitting there , the fridge contained an opened gallon of milk a head of lettuce and some eggs , the freezer contained a gallon of ice cream . Not once were we told that this room was not cleaned and they have brochure staying the have extra cleaning during covid and sterilization . We brought the keys back up to the office and my boyfriend gave them to the man and stated we were NOT staying there he said well are you sure and my boyfriend explained why . We were so bummed this was our first real trip from over 4 hrs away together ... alone ... and it started off terrible . We went and found another hotel to stay in and I was contracted this morning about getting my refund , asked if there was a room that we could give another shot as we were so excited to only be told to try to book from Another site... I'm so so so upset disgusted and ashamed of the customer service and the hospitality of this place .. read more

This is our 13th WM property we've stayed at. This property was worth the 3 hour drive from Phoenix Airport. The smell of pine was intoxicating. Reception was friendly and prompt. I loved our one-bedroom unit. Our living room faced the woods, and I just loved it. The unit was spotlessly clean. The Wi-Fi works here! Yay! We were thrilled to have the hot tub to ourselves, around 6:00pm. It's large and roomy. There's another covered Jacuzzi that we liked- and would also be very private. We didnt' use the pool, but it's large and very well maintained. There isn't a ton of stuff to do, unless you enjoy fishing or hunting IMHO. However, we spent a day at the Painted Desert National Park and that was one of the highlights of my trip. Lovely property. Oh, and eat at Darbi's. Just do it. We ate at two other places, but this one was our fave. Breakfast is hearty and reasonably priced. Service is friendly. Dinner was super hearty....total comfort food! The pies... absolutely the best I've ever had from a commercial kitchen! read more

Such a cute little family retreat area set in the beautiful woods and trees of Pinetop, AZ. We had our whole family come stay, renting 3 separate 1 bedroom King Suite rooms - the rooms were clean, spacious and it was a great little retreat for our kiddos to escape the heat. With that being said, I would've given 5 stars but there was an extremely rude front desk person (Daniel) who tried to tell us we had not paid for our reservation upon check-in. I called our third party booking company and we got it resolved, I was then told we couldn't check-in at 4pm because the rooms were not ready - 4pm is the standard check-in time. Again, love this little getaway and we will be coming back but hopefully next time we would not have to deal with Daniel... like at all. read more

I am glad so glad to be an owner along with my wife to be an owner of Worldmark by Wyndham. I never get disappointed. You see we got here pretty late since we flew late on a Friday night to Phoenix international airport, rented a car yes it is a red Prius (I will review our rental provider separately)and got to Worldmark Pinetop a little after 1:30 am. We quickly checked in and have no problem at all getting checked in with all those attendants inquiries. I just thought that they were expecting us and had our room ready. By the way our studio room was pretty roomy and had a side door for barbecue occasion if you opted too. Well the place is cabin style with four units, I am guessing the 4 units are either 1 or 2 bedroom units because we were roomed with the extended 5 unit place having our unit all by ourselves without the noise coming from upstairs or by next door. It was pretty quiet and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and well didn't have any problems at all with anything. The only missing in this location is the usually dishwasher in the kitchen and of course at the altitude of over 7000 feet, no need for air conditioning. All in all our experience was pleasant and comfortable. It is our home away from home. read more

Worldmark is a timeshare property marketed by Wyndham Hotels. It is one of the best timeshare programs I have ever seen with a points based system booked as you would a hotel. We love the Pinetop location, especially in the Winter. The units are very large with a full kitchen and laundry in your unit and a BBQ grill on your porch. There is a Rec Center that would be much nicer if the games and Jukebox were kept up, which they have not been for years despite repeated complaints, all of which have been ignored. The other complaint is the internet service. There is no Wifi and the service (you pay to use) is very slow. The Resort is very clean and well taken care of (exceptions to the Rec Center, which is leased equipment). The area offers much to do. There is the Casino nearby and the Ski Resort. There are also some Indian Ruins nearby that are worth a visit. Basically though the Resort is worthy of a visit all on it's own. There are Two Hot Tubs and a pool and a kiddo pool. Unfortunately WM closes all their hot tubs and pools too early for my liking, but I am sure there are people who have abused this in the past. The staff is very friendly and can assist you in area information. Eddie's Country store is nearby and offers a full assortment of Grocery, Meats, Alcohol and Specialty goods. Darby's is a good Brunch place and the Casino odds are much better than Vegas. I wish this place used less points in the off season. I would visit more often. I love it here. read more

We come to this facility annually. We love the condos, the pool, the location and the staff is always pleasant and very accommodating. We reserved the rec center with a kitchen for a dinner with 10 of us and the key wouldn't work...the maintenance guy came immediately to let us in. The kitchens are furnished with everything you need, sets of 8 plates, silverware, glasses, wine goblets, and every cooking utensil you need. We will return again next year as our experience here is always pleasant! read more

We stayed here for a week in the off season through a military timeshare site for very cheap. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. My two toddlers enjoyed making holiday crafts and stuffing their own stuffed animals (it was well worth the $15 each extra for the stuffies). Everyone went above and beyond making sure my kids had all the art supplies they needed. One of the front desk clerks even asked to make my not-quite-two year old her first cup of hot chocolate, which she LOOOOVED. The rec room was fun with a few arcade games, pool, air hockey. The pool was closed, and there weren't too many people around. I can see how this place would be super busy in the summertime. Our room was nice, clean, and the kitchen was well stocked for basic meals. The appliances seemed a little dated but it was a fully functional kitchen. The washer and dryer got a lot of use that week, because they were so small. My only complaint would be that the walls/floors are pretty thin, but after the first night we were the only people in our whole building so it was fine. And with two toddlers we would have been the loud ones anyways. Overall I would go back if I were ever in the area again. read more

What a great piece of property, and well maintained buildings. Staff well I just can't say enough about Jake and the rest of the people that work there. Jake, I really appreciate you helping me with my reservations, and meeting my needs. Our room was awesome, well organized, and clean. We had a little trouble with room heater, and they were right on it. Family room large and well maintained, gym small, however perfect. Paid for Wi-fi not the best, but $15.00 for the week not so bad. I had trouble hooking it up and person on help line got me going right away. Great resort with tons to do. I just can't give 5 stars since the Murphy bed wasn't that comfortable. The resort has a pool, hot tub, horseshoes, cornhole, tether ball, basketball, tennis, a fire pit, board games and more. There was a great hiking trail just behind the resort as well. The rooms were great, we had a studio and they come with everything you can think of you need in a kitchen. They had dishes, baking supplies, a toaster, wine bottle opener, spices and everything to cook even for the grill. It was fully stocked and if you needed anything extra they were always ready and willing to help. We celebrated our Anniversary there and spent an evening playing scrabble by the fireplace in our room. Aside from the not so comfy bed everything at this resort was on point and the staff was so nice and helpful with recommendations for dinner and even tell you where you can show your room key for a discount! read more

Great property with the National Forrest behind it. Hiking trails right behind property are great and well marked. Nice accommodations but no air conditioning. I would suggest bringing your own food to Pinetop because of the restaurants are less than stellar read more
