We love staying here! Each room has a cute theme. The owners take great care of all the details. The beds are so comfortable, rooms are spacious enough for a family to stay comfortably. The kitchen has all the basics for eating in your room. The lawn (real grass BTW) is such a great space for hanging out. Mini Golf, Axe Throwing, Four In A Row, Cornhole and more! We travel a lot and rarely stay anywhere more than once but we have stayed here multiple times and recommend it to everyone! read more

This was such a cute and cozy place. A big group of us went up for the weekend. The owners are so sweet and caring. The rooms are newly remodeled and so cute! The kids loved all the games, fire pits and s'mores. We walked to woodland lake park which wasn't too far of a walk. The area is so pretty! It truly is a cozy little place to stay and experience. We will be back soon and hope to stay a little longer next time. We highly recommend this place to everyone but especially families with kiddos. The rooms were clean, one of the pillows did have some makeup on it so I'm not sure if it's a stain or just wasn't washed. My husband & I took our little old dog for some r&r and much better weather. It was our first time to Pinetop since moving to PHX. We stayed in the Oh Deer suite from Wed-Fri in early October and it was perfect! Since it was mid week, we pretty much had the shared outdoor space to ourselves. The cool air and fire was heavenly! The lake was a short walk away and there were plenty of great food options nearby. When we left on Friday, the parking lot was filling up and families with kids were arriving. I suspect that a weekend or high season visit could be a little overrun with children which isn't our jam, but if we can do another midweek trip, we'll be back! read more

The Nook in Pinetop is a great spot! A group of 6 of us came to Pinetop to get away from the Phoenix heat for a weekend. We had so much fun! The owners are doing a great job renovating the rooms and giving each one a "Pinetop theme." Their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. We enjoyed hanging out by the fire pits, playing rounds of mini put-put golf, walking the paved trail at the Pinetop Lakeside Park just a short walk away, and relaxing in our hammocks (yes, you can bring and hang your hammock out in the common area!). This is a great place to stay! It was nice and quiet, cozy, and clean! We chose the Welcome to BEARadise room which looked EXACTLY as pictured. The bed was so big and comfortable. My boyfriend and I could both be spread out with extra room to spare. Check-in & Check-out were super simple and easy. Being located about 30 minutes from sunrise ski resort made the nook PERFECT for our weekend snowboarding trip. You can tell Shelly and Derek take pride in their business. They could be seen maintaining the grounds, cleaning, & shoveling snow. Email communication was timely. This cozy gem in Pinetop-Lakeside is a true gem! We booked and noticed upon arrival everything is being redone. We got one of their recently renovated rooms and what a cool experience! Check-in was a breeze with the keypad, room was fresh, clean, modern-cozy cabin feel. Our friends had one of their other themed rooms. Very clean. We were able to enjoy the evening fire pits, yard games and the location you cannot beat! It was very close to everything we wanted to do. I want to take this time to let everyone in on an amazing hotel tucked away in the white mountains of Pinetop Arizona. The Nook at Pinetop has been recently taken over by new owners, and completely overhauled and renovated as recently as of October 2022. There are 24 rooms total, 12 of which can be used for extended stays. The hotel is run by Derek who did most of the renovations with the help of his girlfriend Jessica his kids. You'll also come to know his super friendly dog Galexy. The property is within walking distance to the sports bar and some popular restaurants. What I came to love about this property is each room is uniquely special with its own theme and individual layout. Each room comes pre-stocked with s'mores so you and your family can take out to the front courtyard fire pit and spend some quality time around the campfire cooking s'mores. There's even a small fun putt putt golf course out in the front courtyard. It's clear this unique property was designed for fun family time and an experience to be remembered. If these activities aren't for you and you're just looking for some relaxing down time, you'll be equally happy on that front as well. The rooms are spacious with new, really comfortable beds and new furniture with a home style layout. The rooms are pretty much soundproof, giving you the quiet privacy you're looking for. Rooms have new flatscreen's with free cable along with movies and Roku. If that doesn't separate this fun, uniquely special property from the rest... Derek also offers different activities throughout the season. Guided tours and outdoor experiences are also an option. This is the only place I stay whenever I'm up in Pinetop. Weather I'm going to Sunrise park resort to snowboard or going hiking or mountain biking this is the retreat that makes my vacations even that much better. Arrived after hours Friday evening, no problem using their keyless entry for our room. Our king suite was so cute, clean, accommodating, & kid friendly. They even had fire starter and s'more packets which my little LOVED! The play area was a hit, we spent all of Saturday evening enjoying the cool weather and relaxing by the fire. I can't say enough about this place! The charm and attention to detail is truly above and beyond. The little extras in the room were amazing. It has such a personal feeling, not like chain hotels. The grounds were so well kept and there was so much to do. Our kids had so much fun. We needed to get out of the heat and seeing them playing outdoors made our day. I seriously want to stay again to see the other themed rooms in person. They also included some recommendations on things to do and places to eat. That enhanced our trip so much. We are full time RVers and prefer taking our 5th wheel with us everywhere we go. If not, we prefer high star hotels. This isn't a Marriott or Hilton, but it was better. Clean rooms, clean white towels and all the charm you could ask for. I hope they do well and keep this place up for years to come. We will be sharing with everyone we know. read more

The Nook was a great place to stay for my friend and I. Very clean, quiet, and just the right amount of space for two people! We could comfortably fit two long snowboard bags, luggage and backpacks without feeling crowded which sometimes can be a concern. Cleanliness was definitely lacking. I honestly question if the room was cleaned at all. The comforter was dirty. The sheets were a little dirty. I hate finding hairs in the sheets. The floors seemed like they hadn't been sweated or moped in a while. We found someone's underwear in the coffee stand drawer!! All that aside, there was a cute little smores kit for two and a fire starting kit. A nice little coffee bar set up. I liked that there was gas and charcoal grills to use. The kids loved all the little yard games, mini golf, cornhole, checkers, axe throwing, and badminton. They wanted to play outside all day and never got bored. The whole place is so cute and has such potential. They just may need to hire a better cleaning service. read more

Exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the Wolf Pack Suite which was true to its name decked out in artwork with a wolf theme. The room was clean and had nice extra touches like a s'mores kit, snacks, water, and Dove brand shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotions. What a true treasure in Pinetop! We traveled with our 3 tiny humans and it was such a fun place for them to explore. A rare place that meets of diverse needs of all travelers. It was super kid and pet friendly and yet we are also planning for an adults-only weekend get away! It was the perfect hotel/vacation rental hybrid. For any Schitt's Creek fans, very Rosebud Motel-esque. So many nice and thoughtful touches and accommodations - loved the broom and fire starter kit in or room. Both came in handy. Shelly is doing such a fabulous redo of the former Antler Inn. Check in a breeze and assigning a number only known to you for the door "key" was so creative. Our room was one that had been renovated and nothing left untouched as far as decor and ammenities. Little things like a tv guide listing for the area, complementary coffee tray with lots of choices, a huge refrigerator and microwave and helpful little kitchen items like plates and silverware. USB outlets and a strong wifi. We only stayed a night so didn't check out the front yard area but looks great for evening fires and chat. If you are in the area by all means book a room....if you can get one. Don't just go on my review but look at the other 5 stars. read more

We just had a wonderful stay at The Nook, again! This is our third time staying at this quaint hotel. Each visit we have reserved a different room, and each has been so nice. This time we were in the "Adventure Begins" room; second floor, no pets, two queen beds, spacious and clean, just as pictured. The kitchenette is very handy to have, and they even provide smore's supplies to use at the firepit! There is ample parking for all who stay here. Wifi works great. The grounds are clean and quiet, and just our speed. The Nook provides a welcoming, comfortable, and unique place to stay. What makes The Nook perfect for our Pinetop visits is the convenience to the RV Park that my family stays at for the summer (walking distance). The location is right off the main road and easy access to everything in Pinetop. The reservation process online is organized and simple to manage, with follow-up confirmation and detail information emails. The check-in and check-out process is great as Derek & Jessi provide all the steps and details to follow, which really makes for a simple, no-nonsense visit. We stayed at The Nook while we were visiting Pinetop to celebrate my parents 60th Wedding Anniversary. My parents were staying the summer at the Pine Flat RV Park, and the location of The Nook was conveniently right next door. The Nook provides a little path that we could walk to the RV area. The entire facility is well kept and clean. They have a dog run area if you have a dog, and dog friendly rooms to stay in. We opted for a non-pet room, and it was very clean. We stayed in the "Ski Ya Later" room on the second floor, great location. It was very quiet (with no one above us). The room was clean, had newer furnishings, and offered many amenities with the added kitchenette. The king sized bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows. We could have the room cleaned at any time if requested. Check in and out was super simple and easy. Loved the key pad to lock the room. The personal email reminders with important information before and during our stay was very much appreciated. The Nook is a charming hotel with unbeatable personal touches. We had such a great experience, I know we will be back again next year to visit! Thanks for the great stay! read more
