LOVED, LOVED, LOVED OUR STAY!!! My husband and I celebrated our 12 year anniversary in Pinetop recently! We found PVC at the Roundhouse Resort through Hotels.com, which had great reviews. We chose this place because of the amenities they had, given we had our 4 year old with us too! What caught my eye before purchasing was the mini golf and chess game provided to guests. I thought this would be great for my 4 year old to have something to do! Check in was easy, especially given we had reservations prior. Keep in mind there is a $200 deposit/hold when you arrive and a nightly fee of $14. The staff were very friendly and sweet! From the time we arrived to the time we checked out, they were always so helpful! Couldn't ask for better customer service! We were assigned to cabin 5, the deluxe. We were amazed by the cleanliness and the size of our cabin! It felt like a home! The cabin had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, and kitchen. The inside was very modern, freshly painted, and decorated so nicely! The patio was perfect, which also had a bbq grill and seating! It was so nice enjoying the weather from the patio! My fave part of this stay, which is most important, were the beds! They were sooooo comfortable and so clean and the pillows felt like we were like lying on a little piece of heaven! We all slept so good the nights we stayed! Unfortunately, we didn't get to try out the amenities as I hoped because we spent a lot of our time at the lakes and site seeing. Although, our cabin was right in front of the mini golf, which was nice. We got to see other guests play from time to time. Overall, PVC at the Roundhouse Resort was beyond our expectations! I really like the little houses and they have a lot of activities to do that you can really just have a family game day! My family liked the little golf course, they had one hole which had a water element to it, it was awesome! The pool is also really nice and it has a jacuzzi. The whole area is very family orientated which I love. We are staying for a week, but so far it's been great! read more

Website says pet friendly. Call and ask , they say yes pet friendly. So i booked a trip for my birthday last minute. Told dogs are allowed ONLY for Members inside the cabins. Birthday ruined. Next day, we have a grill outside our cabin and I asked if he could just hangout outside while we grilled and enjoyed the day after hiking and celebrate with some birthday steaks. No. I heard the manager make a snarky comment too. Jeanette Mock oh ending with "Wouldn't be fair to the other guests" ... Who ALSO HAVE DOGS running off leash too... which makes me actually feel unsafe there. so my dog can't be on property at all? who is on a leash? it's just not the rooms for cleaning purposes? not what your website says either. luckily my elderly mother lives 45 minutes away so that's where he's been staying. That's just not how you treat people especially when you call and your website says differently. My dog even flew on an airplane here , totally well behaved. Looks like the resort has been renovated since many of these reviews were written. We just went here last week and thoroughly enjoyed our visit to PVC resort. We got a great deal for two nights in a 2 bed, 2 bath cabin via groupon but feel like it would have been worth the full price cost. The resort is off of the main strip through Show Low, Lakeside and Pinetop in a wooded and scenic area. My husband left our cranky toddler and I in the car while he checked us in only to be told in an unkind manner that I had to do the check in because my name is on the Groupon. I went in and check-in took about 10-15 min. due to instructions and descriptions of amenities (which are abundant). They have mini golf, pool, spa, fitness center, playground, horseshoe and bocce ball courts, propane grills all over (tools in cabins), a little train for kiddos to sit in, and games and movies to borrow from the reception center. They also have some spices and other kitchen amenities for you to borrow while cooking. There were family related activities (scavenger hunts, crafts, etc) planned throughout the week at the reception cabin. Everything at the resort is easily walkable and you can park directly in front of your cabin. The cabin itself is nicely updated and spacious with a perfect front porch seating area. Our initial reaction when we walked in was "wow. We would live here." The living room has a fireplace, pull out couch, rocking chair, beautiful skylights and a huge TV/DVD player and a zillion channels. The dining room table seats at least 6 and the large kitchen houses the washer/dryer, disposal, dishwasher, blender, toaster, coffee maker, and dishes, pans and utensils. Our trash can was full from the people before us but was emptied within 5 min after I called the reception cabin. Both bedrooms are large and also have the big Tv's and DVD players. Bedrooms and living rooms have nice ceiling fans and comfortable beds and pillows. We slept great. Cabin 19 must have a different mattress than the reviewer with a firm bed because ours was a perfect balance of soft but supported. The bathrooms were great with a huge jetted tub in the master bath. Our stay overall was comfortable and nice. The grills were easy to use and we took part in many of the other amenities as well. Aside from our initial check in, everyone was very kind, helpful and accommodating. Neighbors were friendly as well and the temp in July was in the 70's, thus everyone was outside. In town, Darbi's was tasty for mid-morning breakfast (and 15% off PVC discount) and Eddie's Country market was great for meat to grill. read more

I enjoyed watching the snow fall from the king sized bed. We plan to go sit in the hot tub and play pool before dinner. So happy we chose the Roundhouse PVC. read more

If I could give this Resort 10 Stars,I would... the picture don't do it justice... we spent 3 nights and sat on the Porch and enjoyed the Rain~!! Stayed here last weekend and loved this place. I gave this place five stars because for the price ($110/2 nights; we got a livingsocial deal) it was as good as it gets. Obviously it's not on the same level as staying at the Hilton or somewhere really fancy. The best aspect of this place was the cleanliness. Our rooms were extremely clean when we arrived and all other parts of the hotel that we saw (lobby, restroom in lobby, etc) were extremely clean as well. The second best part was the friendliness of the staff. The man working at the desk was super nice and helpful. The third best part was all the activities they have to keep you entertained at night after you come back from the slopes. They have DVDs to rent for $1. They show movies every night in their theater. They have a rec room with a heated pool, jacuzzi, pool table, racquetball. Of course, we were too tired after snowboarding to try any of these things, but it was nice to have the option. When I come back to Sunrise I will definitely be staying here again! read more

Just enjoyed a nice quiet week here. Early November so weather was clear, cool, no snow. Pool &. Hot tub were closed for renovations. My 1 BR with full kitchen & patio was very nice; loved the reserved parking space! It'd been recently remodeled. The nightly movies were nice, too. All of the staff were very nice, too. read more

Wow... Horrible experience not a family friendly place! I have been going to this place for the past 20 years and the policy's have turned for the worst to cater to 60+ year old grumpy drunks. It's sad to say but my 2year old daughter got assaulted by a drunk old lady because she was cold from swimming and hopped in the hot tub. The lady grabbed my daughter and started yelling your not allowed in here. The rules of course do not let any kids in the hot tub because "we cater to adults" they told me. It's sad because I had some good memories here growing up and now I won't be going back. Highly do not recommend going here if you have kids. It was a great place but not no more. read more

What a great place to bring the family. The cabins are awesome! It is pretty much a 2bedroon/2 bathroom apartment. Master bedroom comes with a big comfy Cali King and Giant tub in bathroom. 2nd room has 2 queen beds. Living room is large with a small sofa sleeper, rocking chair and accent chair. All rooms have 40-50in TV's. Full kitchen and includes everything you need. Utensils, pots, pans, knives, plates, etc etc. Full 6 seater dining room table. There are plenty of activities including indoor basketball, swimming, miniature golf, bocce ball, horse shoes, racket ball, pool, etc etc. Town is a 5minute drive with plenty of restaurants or feel free to use one of the many accessible BBQ grills on property. Friendly and helpful staff as well. The price was great for all the amenities you get. My family loved it here and we will be returning. read more

The roundhouse resort was pretty relaxing. It is located in a quiet area of Pinetop. We stayed during the off season. Some of the rooms were either in the process of being renovated or had been renovated. The pool and hot tub were awesome, there were games available for kids and teens in the pools house. There were BBQ grills outside most of the rooms, or within a short distance. Each room had a small patio in the back of the rooms for sitting. My wife and I really only had two complaints with the room we stay in. First was the bed. It was horrible. It was like sleeping on a box spring, both my wife and I actually considered leaving to another hotel it was so bad. Our room was not renovated yet so I am not sure if the other rooms had the mattresses changed but it was absolutely the worst bed we had ever slept on. We checked the sleeper sofa and the mattress on it was just as bad or worse so we didn't even try that. Sleeping on the floor might have been better except we found a couple of spiders so that was out (it is the woods, we expect spiders) but terrible sleeping makes such an enjoyable experience not so enjoyable. Our second complaint is a minor one in that each room had a small back patio, we just wished that there was a screen door on the back patio so we could leave the door open. Overall the Roundhouse was a pretty nice place, the staff were very friendly the rooms were very clean and kitchens were well stocked with basic needs. Just know that if you have a bad back, pack an air mattress but if you can deal with the terrible beds you'll have an awesome time! read more

What a wonderful resort! My husband and I stayed last Sunday night in a 2bd/2bath cabin with full kitchen. The office was stocked with games and videos to borrow, which was perfect since every TV in the unit had DVD players. My husband and I also borrowed mini golf putters and balls for the amazing course on the property. Later in the evening we spent some time in the rec center where they had an awesome heated pool, fitness center, ping-pong and pool tables, and more. The hours are fairly limited unfortunately but we still had a blast using the free facilities. I loved our cabin unit, the beds were amazingly comfortable, the soaker tub was super relaxing, and the kitchen had everything needed to really settle in and enjoy a few nights. The units shared a gas grill which we will look forward to taking advantage of in the future. The staff was very friendly and the entire experience was easy and very enjoyable. My wife and I stayed here from 4/8/19 to 4/11/19 and had a wonderful time, just fantastic! The cabins are roomy and come completely stocked with everything you need to enjoy yourself. They have mini golf, hoops, pool, ping pong and the hits just keep on coming. Plenty to keep you busy. Every staff member we interacted with were both pleasant and knowledgeable. Restaurant? Where? The Roundhouse, as mentioned, is a few yards back. We loved it! Again, I wish Yelp let you give 3.5s. Luxurious, it is not. Comfortable, it definitely was. Very good staff and very friendly, altho they could have been a bit better trained about the tourist aspects of the area. In fact, I don't think they were trained at all in what we should see or do. My family and I stayed here for a week and loved it!! We had good old family fun in the recreation center! The place is nice and clean! Loved the fresh clean air( if your from the city)!! The staff is so nice and helpful! Mr. Chuck and Mr. Curtis are awesome! They told us the cool place's to take the kid's! We ALL loved the place's! Mr. Curtis had cool science and history stories! We just finished a stay (7/16-7/20) and we were so sad to leave! This resort was WONDERFUL. Well worth the $$ and the little bit of extra driving (it's at the top of Pinetop). The pool was clean and never busy, basketball court was awesome- they even had a ball in there to use, the mini golf was so fun and well lit at night, all of the lawn games were well cared for. They even had a little community garden available that had herbs, tomatoes, lettuce, etc. The office had tons of games and DVDs that you could "rent". The cabin was clean and well stocked. Ours even had a washer/dryer! Made the stay so much easier with a 6yr old who loved getting in the lake! We will definitely be back. And soon! read more

My husband and I went for a mini-honeymoon (belated) get-a-way and we were more than pleased with our stay. The cabin was amazing and exceeded our expectations. We were given a 2 bedroom cottage with full kitchen and the kitchen was completely stocked with everything anyone would need. The cabin was amazingly clean and the linens were high quality and the bed and pillows were so great I almost think I liked the bed better than our fancy schmancy (very expensive) bed at home. The grounds were super well manicured and we loved how the property was off the main road. The check-in and check-out process was easy and the staff was very pleasant. This is a nice family friendly resort. Plenty to do and accommodations are nice. We stayed in a one bedroom with a full kitchen. It was a bit dated but comfortable enough. We really liked that there were two playgrounds, bocce ball, horse shoes, mini golf, an indoor heated pool, and indoor sports courts. It's really close to parks, hiking trails, and plenty of restaurants. We would definitely stay again. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place!! We booked it for Fall break with the kiddos and an anniversary getaway just based on the ratings and the things to do and we were not disappointed! The cabins were more than we ever imagined. We stayed in a two bedroom and two bath cabin. it was like a small house, everything we could possibly need was there, just had to bring our food. The overall environment was so inviting and we had zero complaints. We did not want to leave. The rec center kept us all busy along with the mini golf. The kids checked out movies and were able to each watch they wanted on any of the three TVs. We cannot wait to come back again. Next time we will bring bikes for the kiddos, lots of places to ride in the area. read more

I stayed here with the family Memorial day weekend and we all loved it. Everything was very clean and very updated. All the appliances worked and the kitchen was stocked with anything for cooking. They also have a good selection for movies to rent and board games. All the staff was great and were really attentive and easy to work with. My only complaint would be the gym, it really sucks but other than that the place is awesome. We will definitely will be coming back. read more

Rather Irritating! Purchased a Groupon for a two night stay. Confirmed with the resort that there was availability for the nights I wanted to book. Called the 800 number to make my reservation and they told me that there was no availability. What they meant was that there wasn't any availability for the Groupon rate. I used their website to see if I could book for the nights that I bought the Groupon for, no surprise, I could. Diamond Resorts, you shouldn't post a Groupon if you CANNOT redeem the voucher. We were supposed to stay here for 5 nights in a one bedroom unit. We ended up leaving a day early. The main room has a fold out couch that is so uncomfortable that our kids (8,4) wouldn't sleep on it. The option of using a foldout bed isn't much of an option because there isn't any space for one, forget about 2. Plus they charge you extra for each bed for each night you use it. Our kids slept on the floor instead. The tiny kitchen is stocked with most things you need however there are only enough bowls and pieces of silverware for one meal. This meant lots of washing dishes just so the four of us would have a clean plate and fork or spoon for each meal. My hubby was yelled at by one of the staff because he drove the wrong way through the parking lot. I should note that the "resort" was mostly vacant and it isn't much more than an apartment complex. The oddest thing happened when we were in the pool. It was only the four of us. Not another guest or employee in sight and over an intercom a loud muffled voice was trying to tell us something. After several tries we figured out that the voice was telling us, "no children in the hot tub". This was odd because no where does it say we are on camera and it seemed a little hall monitor-ish to be worried about kids in the hot tub. Yes there is a rule but no one else was in the pool or hot tub so really what is the issue? It poured rain the entire time we were there and our kids were bored. We didn't see the harm. We got yelled again again over the intercom because my son put his hand in the hot tub. My last gripe is the slow wifi. Not a big thing on vacation except my husband had to get some work done every day but it ended up taking hours longer due to slow signal. Our mistake for going to a place that is clearly geared to the older crowd. Despite the playground this isn't a kid-friendly place. We definitely won't be back. read more

First, there is no Restaurant on site. 2. Terrible rooms. I had to sleep on the sleeper sofa -- let me just tell you, not very comfy, unless you like a thin mattress with springs that you can feel with the metal bars, so we had to put the mattress on the floor, that was OK. 3. You have to pay for almost everything. The kitchen is OK. First, you can have a dishwasher or an oven not both. Also, 2 tiny Little burnners, 2. missing knifes, an OK coffee maker and toaster.
