Our RV broke down on day 1 of our vacation. We called Buck Springs Resort and were able to rent a cabin. We were going to check out on Tuesday morning but the management was willing to let us stay until 8/21 so our vacation wasn't a complete failure. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The only two suggestions would be a second lamp in the living room and a floor lamp in the bedroom. Tall pines, soothing colors in the cabin and very quiet. Thank you Buck Springs Resort. LZ

Everything from the staff at check-in, maintenance staff we encountered on the grounds, the facilities etc. all exceeded expectations. There are 3 Jacuzzis on site, which was one of the main reasons we chose to stay here. There is one at the back of the complex, which is covered and is the LARGEST hot tub we have ever been in. Everything was well kept, manicured, clean and well thought out. The room we stayed in was the studio with Murphy bed. At first I was skeptical when my Husband booked it however it was SPACIOUS for a studio and the layout allows a ton of natural light, they even leave a "welcome" basket, which was a great touch! Every single room here will have a view of the woods, so you won't ever be disappointed! The only downside I can see is that there is no A/C, and while it is the Mountains, it still gets hot in the summer. I would not stay here during the Summer when temps reach almost 100.

The toilets barely work, it takes at least three tries to get it to flush. Not to mention, the bugs crawling around in my bed?! This place is disgusting. If you need anymore convincing of how terrible it is here, there are so many hornets flying around the pool. That probably doesn't have anything to do with the hotel itself, but nevertheless, it made my experience here even worse. It's leading me to believe that theres a nest near the hotel, which they should definitely take care of. This trip has been very disappointing for us. We stayed at this hotel a couple years back, and it wasn't NEARLY this bad. This place has definitely gone severely downhill, which is very sad considering how beautiful Pinetop is. Maybe its better in the winter, but I'll never find out because I'm never coming back here.

That is what makes it a very special time in my opinion. Time to think and reflect, do projects, binge shows from your favorite streaming service, take long walks in the neighborhood and along nearby trails, and truly pull back from the normal day to day. With my dog nearby, it was a truly rejuvenating week. The units have everything one needs to be comfortable. Full kitchens, comfortable furnishings, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a deck with furniture and a grill for your outside moments, and TVs, strong wifi, garage, and even a washer and dryer. I highly recommend Quality Hill for a great change of scenery, especially if you live in the Phoenix or Tucson areas. Pinetop is at 7300' in elevation, so the air is clean and the temps are much cooler. Hope you plan a visit soon!

As such each condo is decorated and equipped differently. Ours was comfortable and well equipped...even had a cappuccino machine but no instructions for use. Location wise Pinetop Showlow is great..it's les than 90 miles to Petrified Forest, Meteor Crater, Ft Apache, Sunrise Ski, Springerville ( great museum) Kinishba Ruins, etc. The resort has an excellent clubhouse with gym, board games, etc. If you like that kind of stuff. Now you can't be out doing stuff all the time..so I've got one item that got me...and it gets me at many resorts...it's streaming TV...impossible in most instances to get local news. Often limited channel choices unless you want to sign into your own Netflix etc. But why would a resort in this day and age select a streaming service that doesn't include live as on Dish or Cable versions of Fox or CNN or MSNBC...yes...I'm kind of a news junkie. Oh...almost forgot....this place has a garage for every unit....wow!!!! That's nice.

We found PVC at the Roundhouse Resort through Hotels.com, which had great reviews. We chose this place because of the amenities they had, given we had our 4 year old with us too! What caught my eye before purchasing was the mini golf and chess game provided to guests. I thought this would be great for my 4 year old to have something to do! Check in was easy, especially given we had reservations prior. Keep in mind there is a $200 deposit/hold when you arrive and a nightly fee of $14. The staff were very friendly and sweet! From the time we arrived to the time we checked out, they were always so helpful! Couldn't ask for better customer service! We were assigned to cabin 5, the deluxe. We were amazed by the cleanliness and the size of our cabin! It felt like a home! The cabin had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, and kitchen. The inside was very modern, freshly painted, and decorated so nicely! The patio was perfect, which also had a bbq grill and seating! It was so nice enjoying the weather from the patio! My fave part of this stay, which is most important, were the beds! They were sooooo comfortable and so clean and the pillows felt like we were like lying on a little piece of heaven! We all slept so good the nights we stayed! Unfortunately, we didn't get to try out the amenities as I hoped because we spent a lot of our time at the lakes and site seeing. Although, our cabin was right in front of the mini golf, which was nice. We got to see other guests play from time to time. Overall, PVC at the Roundhouse Resort was beyond our expectations! We enjoyed our stay so much! We will be back again! Thank you for the amazing customer service and the wonderful stay!

The resort is off of the main strip through Show Low, Lakeside and Pinetop in a wooded and scenic area. My husband left our cranky toddler and I in the car while he checked us in only to be told in an unkind manner that I had to do the check in because my name is on the Groupon. I went in and check-in took about 10-15 min. due to instructions and descriptions of amenities (which are abundant). They have mini golf, pool, spa, fitness center, playground, horseshoe and bocce ball courts, propane grills all over (tools in cabins), a little train for kiddos to sit in, and games and movies to borrow from the reception center. They also have some spices and other kitchen amenities for you to borrow while cooking. There were family related activities (scavenger hunts, crafts, etc) planned throughout the week at the reception cabin. Everything at the resort is easily walkable and you can park directly in front of your cabin. The cabin itself is nicely updated and spacious with a perfect front porch seating area. Our initial reaction when we walked in was "wow. We would live here." The living room has a fireplace, pull out couch, rocking chair, beautiful skylights and a huge TV/DVD player and a zillion channels. The dining room table seats at least 6 and the large kitchen houses the washer/dryer, disposal, dishwasher, blender, toaster, coffee maker, and dishes, pans and utensils. Our trash can was full from the people before us but was emptied within 5 min after I called the reception cabin. Both bedrooms are large and also have the big Tv's and DVD players. Bedrooms and living rooms have nice ceiling fans and comfortable beds and pillows. We slept great. Cabin 19 must have a different mattress than the reviewer with a firm bed because ours was a perfect balance of soft but supported. The bathrooms were great with a huge jetted tub in the master bath. Our stay overall was comfortable and nice. The grills were easy to use and we took part in many of the other amenities as well. Aside from our initial check in, everyone was very kind, helpful and accommodating. Neighbors were friendly as well and the temp in July was in the 70's, thus everyone was outside. In town, Darbi's was tasty for mid-morning breakfast (and 15% off PVC discount) and Eddie's Country market was great for meat to grill.

Cabin had a full kitchen, two full bathrooms, washer and dryer, bbq on the patio...you get it. Cabin was very nice and comfortably held seven of us. There is a bigger boat for rent but it was broken. There were lots of trees and shade which we liked. We stayed in the Ash cabin. It was not great. It is old. The "comfort zones" which we later found out were heaters were on and set to 80° when we arrived. It was very warm inside when we arrived and we didn't figure out until too late that we were turning the heaters down to cool things off not off. There were no manuals to help instruct us on temperature control and we had to text the after hours number to get help. It took 2+ days to cool this place down. They encouraged us to open windows at night but not many of the windows (none upstairs) had screens. There is no cooling unit upstairs but they brought us some box fans which didn't help much. The plumbing upstairs was slow and had to be snaked because the sink wouldn't drain. Fridge took some time to cool down but then worked fine. Couches are worn and you sink down into them. We read that every cabin has a fireplace but ours didn't which was disappointing. There was 1 smart tv. We tried to log into Disney but someone else was already logged in. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but then the TV needed a pin that we didn't have. WiFi worked well. The kitchen was clean and had what we needed. The blinds are dusty.
