This is one of our favorite Worldmark locations. We don't stay here more often because well it is fully booked so often. My review is strictly about the facility: Service - always amazingly friendly staff; I get 'small-town friendly' vibes here, even more so than other Worldmark sites. The lobby is small but nicely decorated! They have cute stuff for sale including refrigerated drinks to keep you from having to run to the store. Their pool is heated but of course in the winter, not heated enough. Don't expect the pool from Equinox.. The Jacuzzi is very nicely heated, although of course it can get crowded. The location is nice, not in the middle of Solvang craziness yet close enough for a very short drive or a ~10-15 min to the heart of Solvang. Pro tip: If you drive to Solvang in your own vehicle, check out the wine tastings in the other towns; they tend to be lower-priced. read more

We were guests of friends who are Worldmark Owners. We were invited for a quick vacation to visit the quaint and lovely City of Solvang. The property is within walking distance of downtown Solvang. The employees were helpful and friendly. The mini-store carried limited helpful items. The entertainment room was clean and roomy. The property had multiple water Filtering fountains. Pool was clean and well maintained. We stayed in a lovely 3 bedroom suite, with a full kitchen, fireplace, outdoor patio with a gas grill. #3202 has beautiful views from the patio balcony. Only drawback is that the suite is located on the second floor with access via stairs only. Ample parking. Definitely will come back if invited again. We went to Solvang for a wedding, which was unfortunately on the same weekend as the Danish Days. This is how we ended up at Worldmark instead of a regular hotel. Everything was very nice. Unfortunately, I did not take pictures before we prepared for the wedding, but we ended up with a two bedroom suite which was very nicely furnished. This is a great place to go if you want to spend a couple of days in this beautiful area with the family. The kitchen was completely supplied, there is even a gas grill on the balcony. Check in and check out went very smoothly, and staff stayed in touch via text during our stay. I stayed here for the Santa Barbara Wine Country Half Marathon. I wanted a spot close to the finish line and also near the start. The race did not start and end at the same spot. I also wanted a place that was near the town but also remote and secluded. This hotel checked all those spots. Guest services was attentive and there's a nice balcony overlooking the hills. Room was clean but it is a Murphy bed. It was nice to have a kitchen and I enjoyed my stay. read more

Birds are chirping.  The air is cool and fresh.  It's quiet as a small town should be.  I enjoy a walk in the morning as the Danish bakeries open.  I love the smell of fresh pastries in the morning. I always stay at the Worldmark Solvang when visiting Solvang.  This time I got here around 4:30pm and the front desk gave me 2 options.  I picked the corner unit on the 2nd floor.  It appears some buildings are 2 stories and have no elevators while some buildings are 3 stories and have an elevator.  I wanted to be on the top as I hate living under other people as I can hear them walking and rolling their suitcases over the thin carpet.  The floors have no padding so the carpet is pretty much just a rug.  I very much enjoyed my stay on the 2nd floor although it was a struggle getting all the luggage upstairs. We were in the 2 bedroom unit which had 2 bathrooms.  Beds were firm and of good quality.  Pillows are fluffy.  Freezer had enough room for all my Cooler Shock freezer packs plus some ice cream.  Bathroom has complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and soap in refillable bottles.  I miss the free souvenir size bottles but this is better for the environment.  There was a nice pool and spa. Wifi was not good.  Often the connection to the internet would cut out.  Speed was ok when working.  Signal strength was ok with 2 out of 3 bars on my macbook pro.  speedtest.net reported Worldmark is using Comcast business and 17mbs download with 9mbs upload. Staff was friendly and provided excellent service. It was a spur of the moment to come up here and spend Saturday night. My SO has the time share. And so one early morning, he checked and there was an opening. He snugged it before someone else does. We are not aware that it is the week of Danish days. We were rerouted and didn't know how to get here. My SO called the place and a nice gentleman guided us. Whew!! Thank you very much. Sorry I didn't get his name. Our unit was in the 3rd floor. And Wow!! I am beyond impressed by the amount of space. By far, this is the spacious place we have been to. Beautiful view from the balcony too. We were not able to use the amenities but we have enjoyed our stay. This place is walking distance to the Main Street. We will come back for more. The room has the usual amenities: bbq grill, washer/dryer in unit, hairdryer, TV's etc. Free coffee at the lobby from 7a to 12nn. WiFi isn't free. It is around $5 for 2 phones. The location is great and within easy walking distance to restaurants, bakeries, and some shops. It's not in the heart of downtown though so if you want to see everything, it will be a longer walk or a short drive. We stayed in a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom unit, which fit our needs perfectly. However, there were some things about the unit that were in need of maintenance. For example, the dishwasher was very run down with metal tips sticking out of the dish racks and should have been replaced some time ago. read more

I have stayed at a lot of timeshare properties and I have to say that I really like this one. We are in a studio, which sounds small, but it actually has a full kitchen and is quite spacious. There's a Murphy bed that pulls down and is pretty comfortable. Even your own grill on each patio which is unusual and pretty handy. And although it's not fancy, the decor is tasteful and everything in the unit is in good condition. There's a great lounge with ping pong, billiards and lots of DVD's you can check out. Filtered water always available, free coffee in the lobby from 7-11am (it's good coffee, too). Small store on site in case you need anything. Location is very good. A little outside of the main part of town, but easily within walking distance. I don't like being in the middle of town anyway. Staff is super friendly and helpful. We could only stay the weekend and not the full week that we booked, so we ate out and didn't use the kitchen amenities. So I can't comment about that, but we very much enjoyed our stay here! read more

Always a wonderful stay here! Walking distance to shops, restaurants, park plaza & Santa Ynez church. Mornings are the best views however it's a nice romantic walk around town at night. Cali Love is my favorite spot for karaoke and the wine is delicious too! Rooms are very spacious accompanied by a cozy fireplace, full kitchen and bathrooms come with complimentary hygiene products. 1/14/2022-1/16/2022 We drove in Friday after stopping by Sensorio in Paso Robles. We got here at 8:20 and noticed there was no one to check us in. We walked around to the center and noticed a hand written note that said please come back at 8:40. We decided to drive back out for drinks, snacks and some food we can cook up at the local market about a mile away. We made it back at 8:50 and this time was able to check in. The elevator is definitely dated and makes a ton of noise. Our 1 bedroom suite was as expected. I hope Solvang never changes and stays for many more centuries. Solvang is such a cute Danish theme town to come to. Worldmark Solvang is walking distance to almost everything here which was nice and convenient. We bought way too much danishes, cookies and ate way too much of everything. Until next time :P read more

What I like about WorkdMark is that, for the most part, their decor, setup, and square footage of their units are very similar across properties... This one, I was pleasantly surprised because the 2BR was a bit larger than the norm. Also, the location of the hotel is close to the Main Street which is great. I enjoyed this property. read more

Really enjoyed the week I spent as a guest of a Worldmark member in February, and this was my first experience at a Worldmark. It was wonderful! The staff could not have been nicer and more helpful, and the location was conveniently within easy walking distance of the center of Solvang. Our unit faced the Alisal golf course and was very private and peaceful. We had a 2 bedroom unit on the second floor. Easy parking, very comfortable appointments (the bed was soooo comfortable!), plenty of towels, huge bathroom. Another friend joined us part way through the week, and although there is only one parking place in the lot per unit, it was easy to find plenty of space for free on a side street right under our patio. Solvang is very generous with free parking in general! We did find some glitches: a hair drier fried itself upon turn on (but there was a backup and we dropped the bad one off at the front desk), and casting to the tv kept disconnecting, but unknown if that was the phone or tv casting issue. We still watched our movies, there were just some interruptions and it took some minutes to get reconnected. The wifi was otherwise fine for all of us; we were even able to take zoom meetings and do some work while there. We were delighted to find Worldmark also provided us with several 2-4-1 wine tastings; we tried several spots we loved but might never had noticed without the coupons. We even ended up joining one wine club thanks to Worldmark! My favorite thing about this Worldmark was the staff and the puzzles available in the members area. We actually managed to put together a 1,000 piece puzzle in a few days, down to the last piece moments before checkout, take a photo and then put it all back in the box to return! Our Easter weekend couldn't have been any better thanks to this beautiful and comfortable Airbnb. WorldMark was only 2 blocks away from the main street in Solvang. This made everything so much easier. Wine tasting and food, only a short walk away. The 2 bedroom suite was fully stocked with all the amenities to be able to cook in if we wanted. The living room was spacious and comfortable for our party of 5. The bedrooms were roomy and I appreciated the hangers in the closet. Cute private patio with a gas bbq was a nice surprise. Check in was super easy since there was friendly staff welcoming you. Every time we needed something, I just picked up the phone and the items (extra towels and blankets) were delivered promptly. Bonus was the fun Gnome hunt and Easter basket raffle they had going. The kid in all of us had so much fun walking the property and looking for the Gnomes. Thank you for making us feel safe. WorldMark Solvang - Hotels Near Me - Solvang, California

I have been an owner since the 90's. Been thru Trendwest/Worldmark financially, good and bad. Like any Worldmark/Wyndham Club in the West. All locations are unique and cater to different Owners/Travelers. Solvang is one location in which has not changed since the 90's and 2K, even in 2022. Though it has gone thru its interior refresh every decade or so to keep up with the current deco design. The amenities hasn't changed much. The photos you see on Yelp! are pretty much all identical and speaks for itself. Each unit is spacious, comfortable and clean. Providing the cleaning crew doesn't spend 3 hours cleaning a unit because the previous Timeshare Owner was careless and treats these units like crap like their own home. Yes, there are some Timeshare owners who don't care and won't clean up after themselves. Is this family friendly? Yes and no. It depends on the season really. Summer, yes, but keep in mind, the pool is not as large and is 3ft to 5ft deep with a slight grade. So really no jumping. Then there is the kiddie pool. This might be cute in the 90's. But they need to make this kiddie pool more inviting. Simply put, think of it as a blow up pool. If there is a bodily accident. The kiddie pool is shut down until its clean and disinfected. And that takes awhile. The "playroom" has a regulation size Pool table, ping pong, and foosball table. A fireplace separates the "playroom" from the lounge room. So kids of all ages can kick back and relax there. There is also a TV. But like any units, the TV has sub-par basic cable. What is interesting, is that there are DVD's that you can watch. At a rent price of $3.00 as of 2022. Yes, you have to rent the titles. Not too mention, the tables I just mention, you also have to put some money down at the Front Desk. There are some locations that are free. But hey, if you can afford a Timeshare, guess they are expecting you can afford a few coins and dollars right to use the guest amenities. But wait, it gets better!! Owners, and this has been the biggest complaint of them all, Timeshare Owners have to pay to login into the Worldmark Internet Network!! $30.00 for 10 days up to 10 devices or Owners can pay for the entire year and still log onto any location. You'd expect to have free WiFi and internet especially when this is a Timeshare. Guests will have to pay for internet as well if the owners are not present as new users. Large Hotels like Worldmarks's Parent Company Wyndham, Great Wolf Lodge, Disney, Starbucks, Costco and even small businesses offer free internet. If maintenance fee isn't bad enough this is the worse deal as a Timeshare Owner to pay for internet. Remind me again what is a Timeshare? Anyhow, what attracts owners and their guests is Solvang itself. The Littlest Danish Town in America. Everything and I mean everything is in walking distance. No matter the weather. Summer Wednesdays have live bands from 5-8pm. You can rent those 4 passenger bikes to peruse around town. Or rent those street legal like Moke electric car if you and your passengers don't have the leg power. Or hop aboatd the trolley and hear what the trolley conducters have to say. If you need groceries, Bulleton is the town as you exit US-101 from either direction before heading to Solvang. If you are an owner, I will let you Google Map the area of stores. But for those Coffee Lovers, there is a Starbucks near Tractor Supply. Just an FYI. There are so many shops, boutiques and eateries here. Locals all have their own personal choices and biases. So if you don't cook at the Timeshare and you are a foodie afficianado. This little town is for you. Including the Breweries and the Wine Tasting Wineries. You get to be biased and see if majority of locals are in agreement with your personal choices. Chumash Casino Resort is not far as well. Its also where most out of town visitors flock after dinner hours. One warning. The Local LEO's all about the area, so carefully drink what you can handle. Locals tell me, LEO's don't put up with out of towners acting like they came from a 18 & over night club. Rarely does one even get a warning. And the rowdy ones are the ages between 35-55. Go figure huh. A must visit is the Ostrich Farm 2 mile west of Solvang as you head towards Bulleton. A must visit tourist attraction for the family. Pre-purchase online. Not far from Solvang is a foothill park south of Solvang named Nojoqui Falls Park. The road is both smooth and bumpy in some areas. So that is the warning I will provide. But the park is great to hold family reunions or even a gathering of friends for a weekend! So aside from Timeshare Owner complaints and pros. Solvang is a great week or weekend get away to chill or visit the many coastal beaches from Santa Barbara to Pismo/Morro Bay. Drive times from Solvang to those coastal areas and beaches are not a long drive. Hour and 15 minutes tops with slught traffic. Enjoy your stay!! read more

The resort is conveniently located to downtown! You can easily walk to a restaurant, shops, and attractions. Consider the resort "quaint. That is, until you're anywhere around the pool, the gates are so loud! There's no soft close hinges on the gates, and everybody running in and out, completely slammed them, and it actually shook our room. Trying to sit on the balcony at night to relax and enjoy. The evening was almost impossible when the gate was constantly slamming. The resort was nice enough, I don't think anyone went out of their way for anything special, but everybody was polite. I checked in late on Sunday evening and the receptionist was very personable, helpful and friendly. She made my check in process a breeze. I was sad I didn't get to experience all of the amenities, but I made it in time for a dip in the hot tub. The game room is by far one of the biggest I've seen. My partner is a timeshare member and we have been to many different resort locations and the game room is very nice with a lot of games. It's just missing an arcade. Lol. The bedroom is huge. Would love to come back with my family. It's also within walking distance to restaurants and shops. read more

One star for the friendly person checking us in. After that place is so gross. We had the two bedroom suite and on the ground level. First it just smells funny when you walk in. Second, the doors of this place is impossible because it seems it was all painted over and it just doesn't open well at all. The room with the king bed, the bathroom door was just a big pain to open and close. The bathrooms need updating as it's just so outdated and rusty and old. The shower pressure here is a joke. It took us forever to shower to get soap off our hair and body. Their bath towels aren't very clean looking as every towel we had was so dingy looking. The beds are too squishy and uncomfortable. Everything just felt sticky here. We started feeling so itchy the next day and found a huge roach running along the floor! Great... my child is allergic to roaches and had been so itchy. Just not what I thought it be like from the travel site pictures. Disappointed in the property but the location is great for walking into town. read more

Another very nice property owned by WorldMark. Great room in a great location with ample parking, close to all sorts of things to do. In fact the room was quite spacious compared to many other WorldMark locations we have stayed at. The only downside was the lack of wi-fi signal for our ROKU device, it would not pick up any channels what so ever. We mentioned this upon check-out and were told that we had to call some local service to get plugged into their internet to use our ROKU machine. This little detail would have been nice if it was mentioned in the room or upon our arrival, maybe include the contact info for us visitors, that would be nice. Being told as we were leaving was not of much help. This is the reason why only 4 stars on this review. read more

I am a WorldMark owner and was in town to run the Santa Barbara Wine Country Half Marathon which just so happened to start and finish in the town of Solvang. Although this property appeared to be located on the outskirts of Solvang, everything I wanted to see there was within walking distance. The check-in process was a bit different at this location compared to other WorldMark properties. The one big thing that was different was that I was not pestered to attend an owners update and complimentary breakfast. Those things are one of the worst parts of being an owner. Thankfully this location did not do that during my stay. Since it was a solo trip, I stayed in one of the studio rooms. Everything from the kitchen to the bathroom was clean and in good condition. The murphy bed was a bit different as it goes right over the sofa couch after you remove all of the cushions and pillows. Overall the stay was great. It was nice and quiet, a necessary formula for a great vacation. I definitely would not hesitate to stay here again if I'm needing to come back to the area. read more

Centrally located. You can walk everywhere in Solvang. Rooms were clean & staff was friendly

Located inside the Danish community Though our stay in this resort was very short it was enjoyable. First time in this location but not first time visiting Solvang in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley. Booked a 3-bedroom unit. A 3-bdrm unit can hold a maximum occupancy of up to 8 people. This resort includes an outdoor pool and 2 outdoor spas which one of the spas was located just outside our unit. There is also a separate children's pool. As with all WorldMark resorts amenities also include a recreation room (ping-pong, billiards, lounge with snack bar, and video game room). There is also an exercise room for those that do not miss a day of workout. Due to time constraints though we never got to enjoy these perks. We love the fully equipped kitchen but our time here flew by so fast that we were out most of the time touring the area doing some shopping and dining out. The next town of Buellton had Albertsons and a CVS for some grocery and sundries. The weekend was just too beautiful to stay indoors. Though a little breezy it was a comfortable low 70°'s this past weekend and people were out enjoying the sunshine. This weekend there happened to be a car show... the Solvang Datsun Roadster Classic Car Show. What a cool showcase of classic Datsun cars including a red Fair Lady, a race car driven by Ron Carter (w/ Ron Carter himself right there), and collectors as old as 1969. The resort staff was great, friendly and always helpful. We usually don't have any issues with our WorldMark reservations. It was a pleasant stay here all around and no calls on owner updates this time. Would love to book here again another time. I appreciate all my Yelper friends' suggestions and tips on 'must tries' while here. Checking out shortly and hope to pass by Solvang Restaurant to get some aebleskivers before we head back home. Visited from 11/17/19 - 11/20/19 (4 days and 3 nights) Called ahead before coming and spoke w/ Tavis or Travis (not sure which name is his). Asked about the process of checking in early. Told I would be contacted to confirm whether that was possible before hand. Day 1 (check in): I arrived early in an effort to have a smooth check in. There was a issue with the hotels computer system and my debit card so I was given complimentary dvd rental tickets x2 (to rent out two DVD's). Mishap got fixed and I was able to check in. While gathering my bags from the car I noticed signs saying that the hotel was not responsible for any damage or loss from your vehicle. So when I went back inside I inquired about cameras in the parking lot and whether the front desk staff could see all the cars in the parking lot. I was told, "We don't have gangs out here" and "this town only has about 5000 people- gangs aren't allowed". Since when does a person HAVE TO BE IN A GANG to damage another persons car or break into a car!? I didn't even feel like challenging these two individuals so I let that go - although I did take a mental note of how their thinking was a bit screwed up. The room: very nice and clean. I was confused with the bed in the wall that needed to be pulled out. I needed assistance with the bed. I called front desk and they sent up Dan or Don. Whose not house keeping but some form of maintenance. At first things were okay - he assisted with the bed but then he asked if I wanted pillows - instead of telling me where the pillows were (which were in the closet) Dan or Don goes into the closet and grabs the pillows that I have to sleep on with his bare hands and placed them on the bed. I thought this was very intrusive; Not sure what Dan or Don had been touching before he came up to my room. I couldn't believe Dan or Don felt comfortable enough to touch a customers pillows that they have to sleep on and place them on the customers bed - this was so unsanitary! I let this go as well. When Dan or Don left I went in the closet myself and took other pillows out and put them on the bed - took off the other ones that were put out onto my bed and put the other ones back into the closet - there was NOOO WAY I was gonna put my face on those pillows. Not sure about anyone else but when I travel I need to make sure that what I'm sleeping on is clean. I asked the front desk for sheets x2. They made me speak with a manager about sheets and asked, "Is there a problem with your accommodations?" I informed the manager as I laughed because I just couldn't believe all this stuff that was happening "There is nothing wrong with my "accommodations" I would just like two sheets". I don't know if there was a ration on this hotels linen or what was going on... but it should never be this serious when a customer asks for two sheets. Give the customer the sheets to ease their mind... I mean is it coming out of your check for me to have two extra sheets, Lord! Sheets were sent up BUT guess by who... drum roll... The hotels maintenance guy --- pillow guy from earlier --- Dan or Don... I couldn't believe it folks (yes, it's funny now but seriously a girl can't make this stuff up). I opened my hotel door and see this guy touching my sheets and wanted to scream. I just took the sheets, smiled and said thank you. Day 2: I go out to my car to explore the town and the sprinkler system had wet the whole right side of my car. The sun had came out and caused my car to have harsh water spots that had set in. I went to the front desk to inquire what they would be doing about this... the front desk guy had someone from maintenance to come out. I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Raul! What a Gem he is... Raul came w/ vinegar and water... wiped down my car and had the best attitude and personality. Raul assured me it was no trouble at all. Later in the evening I had the pleasure of meeting Paul while I turned in my tickets for the dvd rentals. Very nice and attentive. Day 3: Went out for sight seeing and Paul greeted me at the front desk. Paul made sure to notice each customer that walked pass. Paul shows he cares about the customer. Day 4 (check out): When it was time to leave, I was checked out by Paul. Paul was super sweet asking am I leaving already... I wanted to say... Paul... if you only knew! I couldn't leave fast enough LOL! I thanked Paul as I was leaving for being one of few staff that made me feel appreciated as a customer for my business. I also extended thanks for Raul as well. Overall: My visit to Solvang was great but I will never stay at this hotel - EVER! They had no continental breakfast only coffee and tea in the morning. You can't order room service because they have NO FOOD! All they have are vending machines and a freezer of ice cream in the lobby for purchase (all over priced). If it weren't for Raul and Paul I would only give this place 1 star (because you have to give something to post the review). read more

I loved this WorldMark and I've been to many many many. I wasn't expecting much from this resort--I've never been to the area and had no idea what I'd actually do there. Smooth & friendly check -in process. We were provided recommendations about where to go in the area for attractions, dining, and given VERY specific instructions regarding a lot of local hikes and trails in the area (to waterfalls, caves, beaches, etc). The resort has great amenities and is very quiet for having 76 units. Our unit was sufficiently cleaned which is important in these pandemic times. Due to the COVID, the pool was by appointment only, on the hour. We had no problem getting appointments whenever we called, and we went at least twice a day our entire stay. The best thing about this particular resort (aside from it's awesome Worldmark amenities) is it's proximity to Solvang's little hopping district. There are lots of bakeries, wineries, breweries, and shopping boutiques all within a half mile. Everything is walking distance and there's fun for kids and adults alike. It has been a while since I have written a review, but I felt very inclined to on our most recent stay at Worldmark Solvang. My family and I planned a stay here to get away from the chaos of the city and to spend much needed quality time with one another, and our time here did not disappoint. This property is well maintained, the ambiance quiet and calm, and the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Our time here was made even more memorable by Chris who was helpful and friendly from the moment we stepped foot onto this property to the time we left. Chris went out of his way to accommodate our requests and we were treated more like family than guests. I have been on solvang 2x and this is our third time to come and visit. This time we manage to book a place with our time share. The previous times we visited here, we found out by accident while riding a surrey bicycle around the town. My wife, May was so thoughtful to make my birthday weekend memorable. Anyway, we got here around 8ish in the evening. This place is just located north east of the town. When we got here we got checked in right away without. We booked a roomy 3 bedroom unit. It was very nice. Equipped with a master bedroom, a room with two twin beds , another room with a queen size bed. The living room also have the couch that you can pull out for a bed. The facility amenities includes swimming pool, and hot tubs, exercise room and computer room. If I missed anything maybe I didn't get to check it out. Thanks mom for my 26 year wedding Anniversary getaway!!! Location was at the very end of the block but since Solvang is not as big as we thought, we were able to walk the entire city so it was nice. Anyways, upon entry into our room, it was impressive. They had everything in our room including a kitchen, balcony, and laundry. read more

Third time here. This time we're in a studio in the main building on the second floor over the pool. The great thing about the studio is that it's got a full balcony with a BBQ grill. Pool and hot tub was great. Two great places to eat are Succulent in town and Sides in Los Olivos. Yes, the actual name is "Sides hardware and shoes cafe". Been in the one and bedroom unit and like all the newer Worldmarks are well done and comfortable. IE, nice sheets and pillows. The game room has ping pong, pool and foos ball table. Also, next to game room is the large TV room and lounge. They have 10% discount coupons for the El Rancho market on mission. Great place to get meats and groceries, kind of a cross between whole foods and sprouts. Wifi is ok to dead slow and t-mobile 4g is dead slow. Let me know if it improves. read more

Beware!!! The room I stayed in was full of fleas. I called the front to ask them to clean and they refused. Room 7103 in the lower floor was full of these pest. The assistant manager was rude and unprofessional. I was considering becoming a member of WorldMark but this location changed the way I felt. Now I will never stay at WorldMark again.
