Better than expected given some of the lukewarm reviews. First of all, liked the location just off the main road (Paseo Del Pueblo Norte/Hwy 68). And, yes, it shares a driveway with the Taos Art Museum, so you'll be scratching your head when you first arrive. Beautiful foyer and our unit (1 Bedroom) was spacious. The main living area has a dining table and mini-kitchen. There was a Murphy bed along one wall and a second bathroom, so you could use it as a 2-room unit. Our bedroom and additional bathroom provided plenty of space. We were on the first floor and had a small patio off both rooms. But, it was cold and stormy when we visited so we didn't use the outdoor space. The staff was fantastic and we were thrilled to have an early check-in after our snowy drive from Santa Fe. The resort is large, but was only partially occupied during our stay and they had several off-season construction projects going on during our visit. The pool is closed during the cold months, but the outdoor hot tub was open. It was only OK, so definitely room for improvement there. There were other indoor rec spaces (gym and pool table), but we didn't use those during our stay. They did have copies of USA Today and other tourist info. we found helpful by the front entrance. Loved the location which wasn't in the heart of downtown, but within easy walking distance of many restaurants, shops, and galleries in Taos. Sabor Real across the street was an easy breakfast spot and the grocery store, Cid's Market, was just down the road. The kitchenette was solely for heating up leftovers with no stove top or oven and only a mini-fridge, toaster, coffee machine, and microwave. Our favorite thing when we arrived was movies and popcorn. After a big storm, there was no cable TV, so we went through their HUGE binder of movies and selected a couple. My recommendation to them after our visit was to group the movies by genre since everything (horror, kids, romantic comedy, etc.) are all mixed together. On that first night, they had bags of popcorn in the reception area, but it never returned during our stay. The resort felt like a WorldMark, but probably because of the timing of our stay, we also had personal service. Some of the things in the room were oddly placed or installed backwards (door handles that lift up, and toilet rolls in odd locations), but overall things were just fine and we'd stay here again. read more

The front desk service is great. My mom told me to always start with a positive. This is the third time I have stayed here and all three times the rooms have been disgusting. First two times found hairs hanging in the bathrooms. This time the upped the clean we found toenail clipping on the floor in the room plus the shower shelves were disgustingly filthy, hairs in the sink and on the back of the toilet. Also look like someone spit on the shower nozzle and it dripped on the tub. I. Actually had to wipe the room down myself and go get a vacuum to clean the floors. Capper to the night I accidentally went to the wrong door and my key card opened it. Luckily no one was in there. Owner members pay hefty prices for membership and fees only to find things like this. New surprise my son tried to get water from the kitchenette sink. Was a nice bright urine color. I have to give them props when the district manager was informed and since he was in the building stopped in and was very nice. He admitted they have a problem and are fixing the problems by replacing current management. It might be exciting to see. Just not sure I want to try the risk of a 4th experience. read more

Visiting in mid October. The room was okay, no kitchen just a microwave and a under bar refrigerator, no patio BBQ either; we knew this going in, so our bad. What we did not appreciate was the "blankity blank" employee that took our request for check in. We asked to be on the ground floor. Why? One of us has some health issues, that mixed with the altitude gave us pause. What did we get? We were given a second floor room at the extreme far back of the entire property. I guess the employee had a laugh at our expense. Definitely not as friendly as the other Wyndham properties we've stayed at. Della was the one bright point in our visit, she was most helpful in more than one area. If coming here for the first time I'd suggest get here before sundown. The signage off the street is not lit at all. The entrance is through a museum parking lot, so trust the GPS. Beautiful area really, but that is New Mexico in a word; beautiful. Some decent eateries locally too, as the lack of ability for cooking in the room is problematic. I mean were we to use the supplied areas to make a meal, the food would be ice cold by the time we hiked back to the room they gave us. Sorry to vent, but I'm not as young or well as I used to be. The one saving grace, being all the way in back, we just had two sets of stairs to deal with to get to our vehicle. A small chore but not the worst thing to deal with. read more

Beautiful place to stay with everything you're going to need. It's as close to being home as you can get on the road. Excellent customer service. Everyone has been very accommodating and helpful. *There's no housekeeping because of 'covid' but they can make arrangements for us long term guests. *Swimming pool closed in the winter *Game room closed because 'covid' *Plenty of parking for our U-Haul and car transport for all the days we needed it! Suuuper helpful:) *Movie rental available *TV does not have internet access. We installed our own Roku. (It wasn't easy but it's possible.) *Hubby was able to work online without skipping a beat. *Close to everything. Literally walking distance from Taos plaza. *Bring water. But they say the water from the tap is good. (Your call I don't do tap.) *Clean towels and linens are available whenever you need them. (Nice) *Very festive and well maintained So far, Taos and its people have been such a blessing. Moving is so difficult and traumatic, I can't thank Club Wyndham Taos enough for making this challenging experience in the most difficult time in history more easy and even a pleasure!!! Im very disappointed in worldmark of Taos. We made reservations about five months ago for a concert, finding the closest place to stay Because of my lung disease, so I didn't have to walk so far. Our concert is Aug 23rd, they emailed this morning the 20th 3 days before our concert that there was a problem with our room. When I called the person at the front desk said she had no idea why. We had a little kitchenette that we were going to take our own food relax hangout. Person at the front now has to find us a place to stay. Tickets are bought 5 months ago as well. There is no room in the hotel we had booked in. So person at the front desk has to find us another room at a different hotel further away. I think we should get compensated. I will let everyone know in person what happened I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. Make me sick. What ever happened needs to be fixed read more

If there were a minus ten or even minus 100...I would choose that. This hotel/timeshare was right next door to Kit Carson Park, where I had a reservation for almost three months. Then, the day before I arrived, they sent a text canceling. It's beyond unprofessional; this is the first I've had an experience like this. They had a timeshare person who wanted my reservation, and they bumped us because we used hotels.com. They confirmed the reservation one week ago. If anyone has a class action suit against this company...we want in. Getting another hotel room farther away is not a better alternative, because we now have to pay for parking. read more

The staff is friendly enough and the room is nice, but the outdoor patio and patio furniture were dirty and covered with bird poop and the view is non existent. Tried to move to an upper room but couldn't accommodate . Kind of surprised since they didn't seem busy. It's New Mexico and it's HOT. Our room remained a sauna for three long days and nights. Just lukewarm swamp. I was stunned they didn't offer to change our room which makes us believe all the rooms are like this. Yikes? When we called guest services they immediately offered a box fan and when they delivered it offered multiple more. (The box fan was so loud we spent our visit shouting at each other to hear over its loud noise and being upset at how much we spent on this place.) Sadly, this must not be the first complaint? The pool is empty. My man uses a cane and our room was so far from the elevator I felt like we'd entered a new state although this place is anything but full. One of the lamps was broken and a fire hazard. The TV stopped working at 8 am on our last day. Checkout is an aggressive 10am. By far, lack of functional AC and this place being a higher priced Wyndham resort? Unacceptable! It is a well thought out resort with (unfortunately) pros and cons. It's cheaper than other places. The Murphy bed was comfortable. Mini kitchen (imagine everything except stove but there is a communal kitchen you can reserve if you really want to cook on your vacay). Fairly centrally located to have many attractions/restaurants in walking distance. All the appliances, less AC, work. NEED AC!!! read more

Well made reservations 5 months in advance before the event. 3 days before we were relocated. Funny how on the day of cancellation notice we were notified that they overbooked. Which is bullshit. Never would I have guessed that would've happened. Maybe it was the last name that did it. But then relocated to hampton which was a dump. Don't make reservations cuz they are condos. Never was told that at the reservation time. We got the runaround. Goes to show me that they are prejudice and they don't care about their customers. I have never been in a predicament like this. A true three-star average, some aspects of this property are five stars and some are one or two. First off, the front desk service is spectacular. Every staff member I encountered had great customer service, and the manager brought donuts from the bakery across the street, which was a really nice touch. They don't offer breakfast, but they have hot chocolate, coffee, tea, and water in the lobby. The staff even gave our friend a ride to Walgreens to pick up some things. Worldmark has nice amenities, including a fitness center, outdoor gas grill, board games and movies, and fireplaces in the lobby and in each room. They are beginning renovations, so hopefully the bad stuff will all be moot points in the future. The rooms are extended-stay type, with a living room space and kitchenette. They have a small fridge, dishwasher, and microwave, but no stove/oven. They do have a full guest kitchen you can use, but it seems odd to offer pretty much everything to cook for yourselves except the oven. They had coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in the room as well as popcorn, which was cute. We had a studio and our friends had a one-bedroom. You could easily sleep four in the one-bedroom as it has a Murphy bed in the living room and two full bathrooms. The studio only has a Murphy bed, and it wasn't great. It was squeaky and the mattress was lumpy. There was also no large overhead light but several canned lights you had to turn on for adequate lighting in the room. The bathroom was large with plenty of towels and toiletries, but the ceiling was very low; I'm 5'2", and I could touch it. A tall person wouldn't be comfortable in the shower. And our showerhead was pretty awful; it was an old Delta pull-out and it sprayed water every direction and was super high pressure. Also, the water wasn't very hot. There were also a few insects. We had two spiders and a few flies in the room during our four-night stay. Maybe the renovations were shaking things up, but it was a little gross. I will say for there being renovations, it was still pretty quiet. Good things: the staff, the location (walk to several galleries, shops, and restaurants), the ample space, the cozy lobby; bad things: the shower, bugs, and Murphy bed. A Murphy bed or pull-out couch is fine for the living room area, but all the rooms should have at least one real bed with a decent mattress. read more

We stayed in April 2022. The refrigerator had old food left in it, included gross milk in the back. We notified management and they apologized. The manager reached out to apologize and let me know she would be crediting is back 3k credits. I didn't ask for this. She offered. I called 30 days later to follow up and and she said she was working on it. NEVER happened. read more

I was excited when we walked up the walkway to the entrance. The lobby was a large beautiful area with flower pots, stunning southwestern décor. We were greeting at the desk and thought this was an outstanding hotel. Our room had a small kitchenette, a small patio and a murphy bed. All was going so well......but it ended there. First, we tried to set the thermostat, but it wouldn't get warm. We were freezing. My husband finally went down to the front desk and told the lady what was going on. She didn't know why or how to fix it so she gave us a portable tower heater. Our toilet had to be flushed two or three times and would make this strange noise. It then would run until you went back in and wiggled the handle. The TV would go off after about 20 or 30 minutes. With no signal. I did go down to the desk and reported all our problems. She listened, didn't write down anything. Said she would look into it. She did ask if we wanted to move. NO, we had a whole day planned and didn't want to sit around until they could find another room. Then spending all the time to pack up and move. Later I realized she never asked me my name or room number. Well, that made us feel unimportant. Then we get a text from the front desk. Just to remind us to fill the dishwasher and start it before we left. PLUS, take out our own trash on the first floor in the Green Room. When we leave just text them. The following morning we cleaned the room, did the dishwasher and took the trash out!! But, before we left I went to the front desk and spoke with a different lady. I asked her if there were any notations under our room. She looked in several places and couldn't find any ! She asked if there were any issues. I told her YES ! Nothing was written down. Once again.......we were unimportant and they didn't care. We won't be staying here again and won't recommend this hotel on Yelp or TripAdvisor. read more

Great location in Taos, everything is walkable. Inexpensive, remarkably so - pretty clean and we got 2 rooms which is really something if you have kids. The major downside is they insist on the stupid ineffective masks while inside. Fortunately we were by an exit. I recommend Cids groceries to go in the little fridge! read more

We just spent one week at the Taos, Worldmark Wyndham property. Now here in Santa Fe, we already miss it! We arrived late last Sunday night totally exhausted but walking into the stunning great room of the downstairs entrance made the long trek from Los Angeles totally worthwhile. Alejandro was extremely friendly and kind, helping to swamp us in when we got lost on the way there. All of the folks at the front desk were very helpful and reliable the entire week's stay, going the extra mile to provide directions to venues around town and local eateries when we needed assistance. The Taos Worldmark Wyndham property is conveniently located next to a park with tennis courts and sits within walking distance to museums, restaurants and gift shops. By car, it's virtually minutes away from the Taos Pueblo on one side, the Taos Plaza on the other, as well as within driving distance to local supermarkets, restaurants and historical landmarks. Our room was a cozy one bedroom king with two bathrooms, a kitchenette and a small balcony...very adequate and comfortable. The highlight for us, though, was the choice of decor and the amenities. Hanging chili peppers and pots of petunias set around rustic tables and rocking chairs---perfect for reading or enjoying a thunderstorm at dusk---beckon guests into the front entrance of a grand plush great room furnished with gorgeous western-designed couches and chairs that sit in front of a pueblo-style fireplace. Water, juice and coffee is made available throughout the day and video rentals are available. On the second floor a full-service high-end kitchen is provided with a huge double fridge, two stoves and granite countertops. Next to the kitchen is a billiards table, couches and a flat screen television set and in the room adjacent to this, exercise equipment is provided with full color television sets. Also on site is a large swimming pool and a hot tub. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in beautiful Taos. Worldmark Wyndham made our week all the better with its excellent service and stunning property. I guess we did not read the fine print before booking on-line. You are charged for internet service and there is no breakfast. Room was nice with a murphy bed and cool little kitchen. Stayed 2 nights, but the electricity went out within 24 hours and was not restored when we checked out the next day, therefore the pool was closed and no cable. This is one of the nicest locations I've stayed at. Each door is hand carved. Every seat in the rooms is hand etched. The lobby is stunning with all the wood carvings.... and the service... Well huge shout outs go to Ron, Joe and Raelyn. They seriously helped me soooo much when my car broke down. I needed a few rides, connections to local resources, ways to figure out how to get my car fixed, places to stay until it was, and then trying to figure out how to get home, after I missed the only bus. They saved me. I mean I only held it together because of them. They deserve bonus's for their kindness. read more

This is one of the nicer Wyndham resorts with fully upgraded rooms (many include a fire place) with a small kitchenette. My family stayed here while enjoying the many nearby ski areas including Taos, Angel Fire and Red River. We had a studio deluxe and a one-bedroom unit. Both had a fireplace and the space is maximized efficiently. The only downside is the lack of a stove top in the units. They do offer a community kitchen where you can cook your food but it's not very private The other perks are access to town where you can walk to several outstanding restaurants, shops and museums. The staff is also top notch and extremely warm, welcoming and provide a wealth of knowledge about the area. In addition, my father suffered a serious ski accident where he broke his clavicle and required a surgery. Wyndham extended our stay and did their best to make us feel as comfortable as possible. I really appreciate their customer service and hospitality! read more

Customer service is terrible. Room was supposed to have a sleeper couch, but didn't. The front desk manager wouldn't let me have the room with extra bed or couch even though available. The computer won't allow it- really! I offered to gladly pay for difference. They also wouldn't let me cancel reservation without a $150 penalty fee. Wife went to Walmart and bought a air mattress.
