    Lush property
    J W.

The property is stunningly beautiful with a restorative, peaceful vibe. The checkin process was easy, and initial communication clear. Staff was smiley and kind, though not very personal. We've been to other B&Bs where the personal touches really made the stay. Our first night, we slept okay. The bed wasn't the most comfortable and was pretty creaky. The pillows are plentiful but all flat pancakes. The water pressure was sad, and it took over 30 minutes to fill above the jets in the tub so we could use it. Also, we checked everywhere for a spare roll of TP when we ran out the second night, but there was none. We also had some trouble with spiders in the tub both mornings. We were greeted at breakfast by the host (never got her name), who was sweet and friendly, but it was clear there was chaos in the kitchen. Both mornings, breakfast was delicious, but it took well over an hour to be served. The second morning it was clear they'd run out of several things, which was disappointing when watching other tables get their food and ours was different and kind of sad by comparison (even though we arrived at 9:15, 45 min before it ends). I totally understand things happen, but when you're a bed and breakfast, the bed should be comfortable and the breakfast should be available quickly and efficiently so you can go about your day. I can see why others have had such wonderful experiences here, and the property truly is gorgeous and relaxing, but overall it was more of a miss for us compared to other places we've stayed.

Charming! Very special grounds. Spiritual. Labyrinth next to a Zen garden. Cozy, artesianal room but the old world armoire opens up to a monitor with full streaming access if you need a news fix. Breakfast is delicious. Wellness shots are very good.

The sunken tub in the Puerta Rosa suite. So romantic & cozy.

Imagine staying in an adobe hacienda from the 1830's. Chose the Puerta Rosa room specifically for the over-sized sunken bathroom with private cedar sauna, two-person tiled custom soaking tub, and enhanced by the second corner kiva fireplace with bancos which warms the entire room. Basically your own spa that's connected just to your suite. The inn itself is incredibly beautiful surrounded by local art and so many trees. We were here in the winter and that offers its own kind of beauty. An assortment of homemade cookies and warm apple cider waits for you as you checkin. A complimentary gourmet breakfast is included in each night of your stay and it's very delicious. The fresh eggs come from the innkeeper's chickens. Each detail adds up quickly. As I'm reliving last winter I hope I can get back here in Spring. This inn is one very special place.

What a cozy little place. My husband and I came from California 2 years ago to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We came to enjoy the snow and snowboarding in Taos. We had an unforgettable and romantic time. Not to mention the breakfast made with great care by the owner of the place. Everything was prepared with great care and attention. We plan to come back.

Exceptional say at the tranquil Adobe & Pines! I truly think this is the best hotel in the Taos area. You really feel the true vibe of New Mexico! Clean, comfortable and excellent staff. Also the breakfast was to die for!

Taos is not known for infrastructure. We found ourselves in a Tesla without a working charger in the entire city. We took a chance and drove to Adobe and Pines to beg use of one of their chargers. For a small fee, they allowed us to use the charger and then made us one of the best breakfasts (organic) we've had in New Mexico. The grounds are serene and private with textured New Mexico landscaping and a sweet running creek with walking bridges. We didn't experience the rooms, but I looked online and we will definitely be staying here next time we are in town. Co-owner, Robbie, visited with us over breakfast. I am charmed. Highly recommend.

Reading in our Rosa room by the fire. Divine small inn with fab service.

In all our 22 years traveling around the US and Europe, in every aspect of hotel life and services, this place ranks in our top three. Extremely high on the value meter. Be sure to ask the owner for recommendations for things to do around Taos.

Lovely Bed and breakfast in the outskirts of Taos…read more We arrive at this lovely B&B and Gould the grounds to be very beautiful. Has a real south west vibe going on which continued into our room. The rustic charm is everywhere from the Spanish tile bathroom to the spacious bedroom. There are chair on the front porch to sit and enjoy the court yard. Our room had an open but private back porch with more chairs. We enjoyed some coffee here before heading to breakfast, Breakfast was delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful. Nga was amazing. Wished we were able to stay longer. I would give this place 7 stars ( 2 bonus stars)

I really wanted to leave a glowing 5-star review because, when we first arrived I was obsessed with…read morethis place. My boyfriend, our dog, and I ended up booking this B&B last minute after leaving another accommodation early because it had bugs (including a camel spider in our bed ). We found this place online at resnexus.com as well Yelp and stalked their website, loved the photos, read the reviews, and immediately felt relieved when we arrived. The Piñon Casita was adorable, the property itself is beautiful, breakfast was delicious, and the hosts seemed friendly. For the first hour or so I was thinking, Thank goodness, we finally found the place. Unfortunately, things slowly started going downhill from there. The first night, the fireplace wouldn't work. We messaged the hosts, sent photos, tried troubleshooting it ourselves, and eventually just gave up and accepted we'd be having a fireplace-free evening. It wasn't the end of the world, and we figured hey, stuff happens. The next day they came and fixed it, which we appreciated. Then came the washer. One of the reasons we were excited about this casita was because it included a washer and dryer. Earlier in the week we'd already spent time at a laundromat, so we were looking forward to doing laundry before our 8-hour drive home. We started a load and got a 4E error less than halfway through the wash. We looked it up ourselves, we tried troubleshooting, we messaged the hosts, we followed their suggestions, and we tried different cycles. At this point I felt less like a guest and more like the on-call appliance technician. They eventually told us the washer had been fixed while we were out hiking, so we were excited to finally do laundry. Spoiler alert it wasn't fixed. Same error. We tried again later that evening. Same issue. Then around 11 PM the washer completely shut off and locked our wet laundry inside. We messaged the hosts again because we were supposed to leave the next morning after breakfast and start an 8-hour drive home. The response that frustrated us most wasn't even the broken washer, it was being told that because we hadn't specifically mentioned on the phone that we intended to use the washer and dryer, (And she said that they don't accept same day bookings, but made an exception for us, though that was never communicated nor was this a policy written anywhere on their website) compensation wouldn't be considered. Respectfully, if an amenity is advertised, guests shouldn't have to announce ahead of time that they plan on using it. That's like asking if the shower works before booking because you intend to shower. We weren't asking for a huge refund. We weren't asking for hundreds of dollars back. Even a small gesture of goodwill $50 to $100 off the stay would have gone a long way and would have shown that they understood the inconvenience. Instead, we paid full price despite having a fireplace that didn't work the first night and a washer/dryer that never functioned properly during our stay. To add to that, there were also multiple spiders and bugs inside the casita. I understand this is the countryside and bugs exist. Trust me, I get it. But after literally leaving our previous accommodation because of bugs, it wasn't exactly what we hoped to deal with again. The next morning our laundry was still trapped in the washer. Eventually my boyfriend ended up figuring out the breaker issue himself after staff told us where the breaker panel was located. We rushed to get our laundry spun and dried before checkout, but they still weren't completely dry. So instead of leaving relaxed after a nice getaway, we ended up starting our 8-hour drive home later than planned with damp laundry shoved into a trash bag. The frustrating part is that this review could have been completely different. The property is beautiful, the breakfast was genuinely fantastic, the casita itself is cute and cozy. And honestly, if the hosts had simply acknowledged the inconvenience and offered even a small amount of compensation, I probably would've happily overlooked most of this. Instead, we left feeling like the burden of fixing the problems fell on us while still paying full price for amenities we couldn't properly use. It's a lovely property, but unfortunately the way these issues were handled means we won't be returning.

Situated just a mile north of the Taos "hub" Hacienda del Sol is an oasis of tranquility, luxury, and hospitality. The rooms are immaculate (complete with a wood burning fireplace begging to be lit and enjoyed). The grounds are beautifully manicured with local garden decorations and plenty of Adirondack chairs for basking in the sun under Taos Mountain's shadow. You can't paint a better view. Mark and Gerd serve the most delicious of breakfasts each morning. I enjoyed the fruit cup starter with only the freshest fruits, followed by options including French toast, pancakes, biscuits and green chili gravy, cheese omelette, skillet potatoes and eggs, eggs any style, and, of course, bacon. I looked forward to waking up and joining other guests each morning to see what new delicious options we would be offered. I enjoyed the privacy of the individual hot tub times. You can sign up for 30 minute slots throughout the day, 7 days a week, to enjoy an intimate hot tub time with your party. There are some dog-friendly rooms, so bring Fido! They do have some ground rules with the dogs (cannot be left alone in rooms and no sleeping on the bed). Please be respectful guests so that they may continue their hospitality towards canine guests as well. Be sure to bring a crate if you do intend to leave for any amount of time. There are many restaurants just steps from Hacienda del Sol and the staff will be happy to make recommendations or reservations at your request. Simply put, we had the most magical experience and cannot wait to make Taos and Hacienda Del Sol an annual vacation spot.

The bedsheets are super soft and the mattress is comfy. We used the steam shower in our bathroom after a long hike up Wheeler Peak and wished the hot tub had been open. We would love to have used the kiva fireplace, but mid-summer isn't the season for an indoor fire. Breakfast was delicious, in a beautiful setting with stunning views of Taos Peak and friendly service. A few quirks: the room lighting is a little dark once the sun goes down; there were cobwebs in the ceiling vigas that need to be vacuumed away; the southwest style bent willow chairs could use a thicker seat cushion; the bath soap smells heavenly, but the shampoo and lotion are uninteresting. But, we didn't go to Taos for the shampoo. We went for the scenery, the hiking, the starry night, the "enchanting". This B&B knows how to bring the enchanting.
