My love for pork chop was the deciding factor and it did not disappoint. We were seated in a quiet corner and we had a chance to chat with our guests. No loud music to fight over conversation, we had a wholesome and engaging discussion. The star of the night was Bone-in Pork Chop and it shone proudly! It was tender and sauce elevated the cut very well. It's a must have! The other dishes were good in their own right, tasty and flavourful. We were celebrating a birthday and the surprise Story Cheesecake gave a beautiful ending tonight.

Our server was very good. I think her name was Shaelin. I hope I got it right. We ordered a bottle of wine and started off with an order of escargot. Wine prices are on the high side. The escargot were delicious - plenty of garlic butter and 4 good slices of toasted bread to mop up the sauce. Our server gave us time to digest our appetizer before bringing our entrees. My husband had the rack of lamb. It was perfectly cooked medium rare as he had requested, and it was delicious. I ordered the pork chop. It looked like it was a tomahawk cut. It was very good and well prepared. We finished out meal with banana bread and it was really good. It had a shortbread base that really was a nice compliment to the banana bread. It was a lovely evening - good food and good service. Prices were average with the exception of the wine prices.

However, even with reservations, we still has to wait quite awhile. We ordered a variety of items. What we really enjoyed was the following: both salmon aburi and tuna temaki were both very delicious and refreshing. We would definitely order these two again. The steak and frites were average and nothing stood out. Same as the espresso martini, ive has better elsewhere. I personally did not like that the hard liquor taste overpowered the espresso. Lastly, the creme brule was too sweet that we didn't even finish it. Like with all restaurants, food items can be a hit and miss. With that said, the server was nice and friendly.

Restaurant 's vibe is perfect for a relaxing night. Food I ordered : the avocado dip, this is my favorite. The dip is so fresh and has a hint of spice from the pico de gallo. Chips are so crispy but I wish I can get 2 extra chips to finish off the dip. I wanted to order the tuna temaki but they were all out for the night so I ordered the Prawn crunchy roll. The prawn added a nice crunch, and the drizzle of the sriracha mayo sauce gave it just the right kick. Drinks, their happy hour beer is a good deal for $5

The restaurant dining area is fairly typical looking - similar to Cactus Club, Joey's and Browns. Nice enough and well kept, but nothing outstanding. We tried the following items from the Happy Hour menu: - Smashed Avocado Dip: OK. The dip itself was much spicier than expected, so my wife couldn't eat it. The tortilla chips were good, but found the taro chips not so good. - Miso Tuna Crispy Rice: Good. My favourite dishes of the night. Like a regular sushi, but using crispy rice gives it nicer texture and flavour. - Steak Frites: OK. Steak was the right doneness, but not the best quality. Fries were average, and greens were limp. Service was OK. Our server did the minimum, and nothing more. A lot of the staff seemed to be chatting among themselves, instead of providing better attention to their customers. It took awhile to get plate cleared and get our bill. Overall it was OK. We went for Happy Hour to get better value, and we got that. I wouldn't have been very happy if we got the same food at full price.

The dish came with a tamarind-style dipping sauce that added a nice sweet-and-tangy twist. The avocado dip was refreshing and beautifully presented with taro chips, tortilla chips, radish slices, and cilantro. Great deal for beer 16oz for $5 and 22oz for $7. Order

Upon check in, they estimate the wait time would be 25-30 minutes. We are seated at 10:10am. The most impressive dish is the smoked salmon egg Benedict. We asked to serve the béarnaise sauce by the side. The blueberries pancake is soooooo fluffy. A must try. The hash brown is crispy on top and soft at bottom. We like it so much that we needed to order another one as a side dish. Chicken and waffles are good but not as great as the above three. Meat lovers omelette is normal. The most disappointing dish is the wontons. Traditional wontons have real prawn fillings. This one has a meatball texture which is quite off putting to me. While the restaurant decor and appearance can be improved, overall still an enjoyable experience. We definitely love the food here than OEB.

The website says to get there by 8:30 if you want to grab a table without waiting which we thought was crazy, but when we showed up at 8:32 we managed to snag the last free table so they're spot on with their timing! Lots of parties showed up right after us and the waitlist was super long by the time we left. As for ambiance, it's meant to be a greasy spoon diner at the back of a lumber yard so that's exactly what it is. The only part I wasn't expecting and didn't enjoy was that every few minutes you got a waft of the washroom smell even though we were sitting far from it, mostly because there's not a ton of ventilation in a small spot. The staff were super friendly and attentive which was lovely! I got the veggie omelette which came with their shredded hash browns and bread and my partner got the burger and fries. Everything was delicious! Huge portions and well priced. I especially loved the hash browns which were crispy on the outside. Overall a great spot! Just make sure to get there early if you don't want to wait
