He's a unique dog, and for a while we weren't sure we would ever find someone who could effectively and safely handle him, but Grace was able to not only speak his language - but also safely integrate him into walks with other dogs and help muzzle train him. She quickly became his favorite person and was one of the only people he trusted. Grace went beyond the walks and basic training and would sometimes ask if she could take him overnight to get him used to being around different dogs (hers) and people. He always loves these sleepover and has learned to better read other dogs and communicate as a result. Our boy has come a long way, and we owe so much of that to Grace and Lucky Dog!

This turned out to be the perfect place for our dog. Jeff and Grace keep great control over the animals, and keep the numbers way down. Our dog was unsure of herself for the first day or so, but quickly joined the pack because I believe she felt very safe at this place. I tried to discipline him the best way I knew how but it still wasn't sticking. I didn't have the proper time or experience to reaalllly sit down and do the thing with him and that's what he needed. He had a few manners when he wasn't barking at me to play or jumping from couch to couch, or using my friends' backs as personal climbing posts and licking them to death (let's not even get into the Aussie drive to nip/herd people and things which was the real big problem) Samson was a GOOD baby BUT* My fur pal that was returned to me is now an obedient, more relaxed little man! It hasn't even been 24 hours and I am truly blown away! We still have more training to do together (me more than him) but I am so pleasantly surprised to see how much he has already changed. I care deeply about animal welfare and have supported organizations such as the Humane Society. During a recent interaction, I asked questions and requested guidance related to a dog's situation. I was told the dog would need to be brought into the clinic; however, due to his size and level of pain, that was not feasible, and I inquired about the possibility of a farm call. No further discussion or alternatives were offered. After I later shared feedback about my experience in a public review, I was informed that the clinic would no longer provide services for any of my animals and was asked where I wanted their records sent. There was no further communication regarding my concerns, which left me needing to seek care elsewhere. Another veterinary service, K & M Vet Services, was able to provide the guidance and assistance that was needed. Based on my experience, this practice would not be my recommendation.
