It's basically a Healthy Choice TV dinner version of Chinese food. If I go back I'll only be ordering the bao buns.

This is a ghost kitchen run out of sizzler. Don't order from here. You'll just get crappy food.

A virtual kitchen based out of a Sizzler restaurant off state and 90th... Interesting.

You know when the feeling hits that you must have Chinese take out for dinner? Well that was…read moretonight. I wanted to try something new and we found Red Dragon. It was close and the pictures looked like just what I wanted. We learned though don't leave your house at 5:30 pm ever. It took as an hour to go 5.3 miles. The traffic was extra horrible in all directions. When we finally arrived we were both really hungry. We ordered the Family Special B. We both chose our own entree and we picked Walnut Shrimp and Mongolian Beef. It comes with four fried shrimp and 4 cheese wontons, fried rice and of course the mandatory fortune cookie. The inside looks cute and cozy. Buddha greets you and he's happy because he was dripping in dollars. They were really busy and people kept pouring in so I didn't get to ask why he had all those bills. The food was delicious. It came with Hot and Sour Soup which was hot in temperature and in spiciness. The shrimp was fresh and melted in your mouth. The Mongolian Beef is drenched in onions, celery and peppers and had some heat too. They were kind and we will be back. That way I can get to the bottom of the Buddha.

The shrimps were big and there were 8 pieces which was generous. The dinner combo was missing the egg drop soup I selected for my order and the ham fried rice was hard (-1 star for this). However, the sides egg roll, cream cheese ragoon, and pan fried chicken were a plus to the dinner combo. The wonton soup I ordered separately was amazing and I could eat it in two meals since it was one big size. The price was pretty good for the amount of food and quality.

This hole-in-the-wall is hiding some seriously great food at a reasonable price! I had the Singapore Mai Fun! Heavy on the meats and veggies. Lots of shrimp that weren't cooked to a rubbery tasteless death. Imagine that! An easy 10 out of 10! Kind and helpful employees who know their regulars. Most just order take out. We decided to dine in. Quiet and comfortable. Lots of booths but there's a few tables that could accommodate a larger group. Clean and utilitarian; so no decor, fancy or otherwise. But the restrooms were spotless with hand soap that's actually nice! I think we just replaced our favorite casual Chinese dining spot. It's a perfect place to slip in for a quick bite and a nice visit with family and friends. I think we have permanently replaced our usual casual Chinese spot with this.

On my recent visit, I saw that the majority of people took their orders to go (in fact, my wife and I were the only ones who dined in). We had both the beef and broccoli and the kung pow chicken and each took home leftovers. The portion sizes were very generous. The flavor was on point and I was impressed by how much meat was in the dishes-they certainly don't skimp on the good stuff.

And then there are restaurants like rice king Express that operate in a local strip mall next to a big gym and don't meet a lot of the traditional criteria, but are nonetheless great restaurants to keep in your rotation. Rice King Express is a perfect example. Very friendly people. Invested in the community for decades. Good food. Good consistency. Lots of options. Very speedy, very kind and courteous owners and staff (family?). I love coming here when I can to support this business and to grab a quick meal. It's light years better than fast food but at the same speed. Their Kung pow chicken is my favorite, but they're sweet-and-sour, their noodle dishes, their eggrolls, beef, and broccoli, etc., are all excellent as well. Our neighborhood is lucky to have a shop like this for all this time.
