I was met with a young lady who clearly did not want to help me. The look on her face with each question I had was very unpleasant. I ordered a peanut butter banana protein. I asked what kind of milk I could pick from and what kind of protein I could choose from. Her answers were short and sharp. I also asked if the whey would expand my drink and was given a very hard sharp no. I asked if I could get it in a next size up cup because I wanted to add my own stuff. The reaction to this simple question was all I needed to decide to never return to this establishment. Every interaction with this young lady was unpleasant and made me feel unwelcome. The smoothy reflected my interaction, Tasteless and watery. The lobby was plain and had almost a thick negative energy. The ambiance was lacking and not friendly. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day or what but customer service was not there today.

Plenty of bacon, which was chopped small and piled on the egg. I didn't really love the jalapeño bagel, so next time I would just order an everything bagel or something more classic. Overall it's a good breakfast sandwich though. They have a fairly large breakfast menu with multiple options (sandwiches and more). In terms of savory breakfast choices they have more variety than most other coffeeshop/order-at-the-counter places I've been too in Bakersfield (which seem to mostly just offer sweets). Another nice thing about going here for breakfast is that there seems to be plenty of seating. Even though it was very busy, it seemed like most people were taking food to go. I had my choice of a table inside or one on the patio. I sat outside in the shade on a cool morning and it was nice. The biggest downside is that they are not very fast, especially when it gets busy. There was a pretty long wait, both before and after ordering. Overall Bagels & Blenderz is a solid place to get a breakfast sandwich and a coffee, so long as you're not in a hurry. On other occasions I have just stopped in to pick up some bagels and cream cheese to go, and that tends to be faster (and their classic bagel flavors are solid). My family and I will definitely visit again the next time we are going out for breakfast.
