A few days ago my dog sustained an intensive injury where his entire nail was ripped from the nail bed, while unsupervised in their unlined metal wire crate. From the length of the nail I can tell the injury occurred before grooming even began. Upon drop off they were informed about my dogs long nails in that area and were negligent with how they handled him. I was called twice during his four hour appointment and neither call mentioned he was injured. Upon pickup I was told by the manager not to take him to a vet to avoid all the fees, of course you didn't want to pay for what you caused. You'd rather have an innocent animal suffering in pain, so you can save some money. I took him regardless because I can't imagine how painful it must be to have your nail completely ripped off! All they did at trejos grooming was spray it with a disinfecting spray that only caused him more pain. Imagine if you rip your nail off and not take any pain medicine! The injury was professionally documented and required wound cleaning, strong pain medication, antibiotics, and blood work totaling almost $500. A second nail was also cut too short during the groom which the vet said was another injury. My vet kept saying this was going to be a legal case. I went to Trejos Grooming directly after the vet appointment to request a refund and was refused reimbursement for both the grooming cost and the blood work required because of the injury they caused. The manager repeatedly insisted my dog did it to himself while left in the unlined crate, deflecting all responsibility despite being the adults entrusted with his care. At no point did anyone take accountability or offer an apology. All you could do was put blame on a dog instead of saying you were sorry you didn't do everything in your power to ensure he was safe under your care. After sending an email as a refund demand letter letting them know I'll be taking this to small claims court, suddenly they had a refund check for my dog's required bloodwork. I had been coming here for two years and noticed my dog becoming increasingly stressed to enter the facility over time. I now understand why.

Whenever we pick her up from Trejo's Dog Grooming she is SO happy and she gets so excited when we pull in the parking lot. They are also super good at what they do. Hannah was nice, friendly and patient with our hairy little puppy, and the self wash stations for our two doggos was easy to use and well-stocked. Only downside is that they only have two showers available, the soaps there aren't that strong (you have to use a lot to get a good lather) and the grouchy woman next to us decided to blow dry her giant black chewbacca friend in our direction pelting us with its tumbleweed sized hairballs for over a half an hour. (Think she was mad that we took the taller shower) rude, but I believe in karma so maybe one of you with an even bigger dog can go there and get her back for us. (Pwetty pwease?) After seeing how beautiful Hannah made our little princess fuzzball look, we booked another appointment for our two chonkertons because we weren't satisfied wiith the way we bathed them. (Not their fault, ours.) Hannah treated them well and groomed them wonderfully. They left smiling and so did we. Long story short, this is the BEST place to go to groom your doggo and a good place to go to look for sepcialty foods and treats. People here are nice, place is clean, grooming is EXCELLENT. Highly recommend Barking Dogs!

We recently used Just Like Home's boarding services for our two dogs, and unfortunately our…read moreexperience was disappointing -- primarily due to communication issues and overall customer service. The onboarding paperwork alone was surprisingly extensive. It honestly felt more like completing a college application than signing up for pet boarding -- long, detailed, and somewhat confusing. While I understand the need for policies and waivers, the process felt overly bureaucratic rather than focused on making pet owners feel comfortable and confident. Before boarding, we were told we'd be able to check in on our dogs via camera access, but no one clearly explained where to log in or which room they were staying in. At one point, we couldn't see our smaller dog at all. We called during desk hours to ask for clarification, but no one answered, and our call was never returned. When we picked up our dogs, they appeared shaken and not themselves. While they seemed to have been fed properly, their behavior afterward concerned us. One of our dogs -- normally very confident and social -- stayed unusually attached to me for about a week after pickup. When I later took him to his regular groomer, he had a panic reaction when I left, which is not typical behavior for him. I can't say exactly what happened while they were boarded, but their reaction afterward was noticeably different from past boarding experiences, where they usually come home relaxed and happy. Another frustration: their paperwork encourages customers to contact them directly before leaving reviews about concerns, which I tried to do. However, when I asked to speak with a manager at pickup regarding the missed calls and communication issues, my request wasn't acknowledged, and I never received a follow-up call. That lack of responsiveness was particularly disappointing. Because of these combined issues, I personally wouldn't choose this facility again and would encourage others to carefully consider their options when selecting a boarding provider.

We understand that transitions are tough and have compassion for that, but the experience (or lack thereof) that we've had with the new owner has been jaw-dropping and severely disappointed. Last week, we got back from our family trip and our dog Ellie was boarded for a few days. She always has had the best time and has never had any issues or injuries. Any time something did happened, we were called right away and an incident report would be filed. There has always been a trust had with Hot Diggity Dog. Now onto this new experience. We came to pick up Ellie and noticed when we got into the car that her left paw was bleeding. We looked at her paw and one of her claws was clearly ripped out of her paw. The nerve was still intact, but NOBODY said anything to us upon pick up or called us when it actually happened. That was red flag #1. When we went in to address it with the gals in the front, Christina was the only one who tried to genuinely help and give us answers (she very well might be this new owners only saving grace). She let us know that the owner was going to call us and let us know but that they have been so swamped and it "slipped their mind". That the owner was going to still call us. I let her know that is a breech of trust with us but that we will wait for that phone call. The new owner has still never called us and it's been almost a week since that convo. That is now red flag #2 and was a deciding factor that we will no longer be bringing our dogs to Hot Diggity Dog. If this new owner would have been accountable to what they said, we would have been more than happy to extend forgiveness. Unfortunately that did not happen and the ball was dropped not once, but twice. Accountability and integrity are HUGE for us. Hot Diggity Dog's previous owners had that. I hope this new owner learns the importance of that.
