After my interaction today, I left feeling genuinely disappointed and frustrated. I have an American Staffordshire Terrier who is incredibly sweet, well-behaved, and social. Despite this and staff having ZERO interaction with my pup, we were turned away due to a supposed breed restriction. This was particularly frustrating because the company's own chat assistant explicitly stated there was no restriction. I also noticed examples of other large breed dogs in their care, such as German Shepherds, which are often subject to the same dangerous stereotypes. The contradictions made the rejection seem unfair, selective and honestly, discriminatory. It gave me the impression that decisions may be influenced selectively by perceptions that go beyond their written/displayed policy. As a pet parent, you trust boarding facilities to evaluate dogs based on temperament and behavior, not discriminatory assumptions or inconsistent guidelines. I would strongly encourage this business to have clear standards so all customers-and their pets-are treated fairly.

Tails Pet Resort discriminates against Pitbull Breeds! I went through the entire online setup process, submitted all of my dog's medical information / immunizations and waited for a call to schedule an evaluation--but no one reached out. When I called to follow up, I was told they do not allow Pitbull's in daycare. It's extremely unfair and misleading to have pet owners go through the whole process only to be told after the fact that their dog isn't even eligible for evaluation. All dogs should be judged based on their individual behavior, not their breed. At the very least, this policy should be clearly stated on their website so owners can make informed decisions before wasting their time. My dog is loving, well-behaved, and social, but he was denied even the chance to be evaluated simply because of his breed. (He has been going to daycare 3 times a week for over a year, with no issues). It's incredibly disappointing to see a place that claims to care about dogs make such a blanket decision without considering individual temperament. Pitbull's deserve the same opportunity as any other breed to prove themselves. I truly hope they reconsider this outdated and unfair policy.

I had boarded our pup with Tails Pet Resort for a couple of nights in the past, but with our 16-day trip out of country I was a little worried. Tails treated our dog like one of their own, and he had a wonderful time! Booking a stay or daycare with Tails is very simple on their website. If you have a long stay like I did, I recommend booking far in advance. Summer months and holidays can be very busy. On their website, you must make an account and upload shot records before your stay. You will also be able to access "report cards" which include ~3 photos a day and any important updates/comments. I love that I received a text notification every day letting us know when photos have been uploaded to the report card! During your pet's visit, you can use a separate website to watch live-streamed footage of the facility, inside and out. The quality was pretty good, you are able to switch cameras, and easily zoom to check in on your dog(s). The cameras are not available at night, since they are only directed at play areas. Our dog can be a lot, and it does worry me to take him to a place like this. He can play rough, he has separation anxiety and medication to take as needed to treat it. I'm not sure what it is about Tails that makes him so comfortable and have so much fun! They really know how to tend to your pets. He has never had to take his medicine there, and I watched the employees on the cameras playing with and petting him with no issues! Something about the environment keeps him relaxed and behaving. Good to know: -Tails provides food/water bowls -It's recommended to take toys/blankets for your dog during their boarding -You can add a bath service to your pet's stay, so they come home clean -During the summer, they do have a mini plastic pool and play with the hose! -Play areas are always supervised by at least one employee -Dogs with social issues play/walk separate from the rest

Tails pet resort is the best!! My dog has been boarded at Tails a couple times over the past year, and it has always been a pleasant experience. Even though my dog is very timid and shy, she always seems to be having a good time. I can tell the staff keeps her comfortable. I love the daily photos too!

My beloved being a giant breed usually has no one to romp with. First trip to tails HE saw a barking rat with ears and wagging tail. He screamed like a girl, ran tail tucked past his human escort, almost making her a kite in the facility. We all had a good laugh at his expense but the socialization was good for him. He had a short stay there later on during the year and I could see that he was quite comfortable. Enrollment in Daycare for him is a PLUS!!!

My pup has been attending daycare here for about 6 weeks now. She loves to go and comes home tired! We'll be using their boarding program over the holidays and I feel very safe leaving her while I travel.

Rhonda was so caring and loving - she totally understood my difficulty and assured me that Willow would be okay. She kept in touch with me the whole time, sending lots of adorable photos and videos. There's a…read moreparticular style of daycare that I don't find to be very stimulating for dogs and this place kind of fits that format. While it is convenient for me, when I watch the cameras, it looks like the dogs are just wandering around like zombies. Usually other daycares have more interaction with staff. There's maybe one staff member to like 15 or 20 dogs. The other thing is I'm not entirely sure they actually understand dog behavior. Because a lot of the dogs are restless and have zero structure, they don't have great socializing manners. My dog is an intelligent breed who will correct dogs who are rude or in his face and it gets tiring for him if he's doing that more than the staff. So when they told me that they had put him away because he was air nipping at dogs, that was strange. I've never had a report of him having behavior issues. Now if they had told me he seemed tired and needed to be to decompressed, that's fine. Maybe it was the staff's wording. And why she needed to report it to me I don't know because that's just a normal part of daycare and dog behavior. So after reading the reviews I did see instances in which dogs that are being aggressive to begin with or annoying aren't being corrected and then when the dog goes to correct them, which is dog etiquette, the dog who asserts boundaries to protect themselves gets punished? That to me shows a lack of understanding about dog behavior. I've watched the webcams at other daycares, and staff know how to separate dogs or to keep things from escalating and know when it's appropriate to put a dog away in a crate for a little time without making the dog feel bad or without making the owner think there's some big issue. I'm trying to gauge whether he actually likes going here. He comes home tired but not looking happy. And whenever we go there in the morning, he tends to whine, which he doesn't do at the other locations we've been. So this one will probably start getting rotated out of his daycare choices for the week. But on the positive side, I do like that they have a little events for the dogs or special treats and get your permission. I just don't feel very confident that it's anything more than just like a room full of dogs all walking around in circles. Like at least interact with them a little bit? Maybe add another counselor or two per group? Make me feel like everybody is taking classes about dog behavior and understand different dog breeds and how dogs are meant to interact? Also the webcam never seems to work very well. I'll watch on the phone or don't even try to watch on the laptop and it goes in and out but at least they have a webcam because barx parx doesn't. And there may be people and dogs who love this place or love the locations in other parts of Las Vegas but for intelligent breeds, I just don't think this place is very stimulating or matches well with his needs. Maybe this is just what happens when you take a bunch of dogs regardless of personality and throw them in together. Dogs have different play styles and some dogs are annoying to other dogs. But here, it just feels like a major free-for-all. The staff are mostly friendly, but maybe also communicating different things to the dog owners in a different way would have probably avoided me feeling less confident about this place because now I'm worried about who my dog is with during the day. If you don't know dogs, that's kind of concerning.... And I'm not seeing anything in my experience or my dog's reactions or through the webcam that makes me feel confident... And with that many dogs per one counselor, I can see where it would be easy for a dog to get hurt.

I gave them a call and was told to create an account and fill out an application online. Once I filled out an application online for an interview, I would be called to schedule. When I brought Teddy in, they notified me that they were going to do a minimum 3 hour interview, but was also welcomed to keep him until just before they closed around 7pm. His appointment was at 2pm and just kept him until 5pm. They provided cameras for all of the play yards (2 views - entire play yard or snout view). While watching the cameras, I saw them taking Teddy around the empty play area to walk around, then slowly they introduced different dogs one at a time to see how he interacted. After a series of different dog interactions, he was introduced to the main play yard with all dogs in similar size. The way their dog camp works is all day play. They said Teddy did well and passed the interview. I received a cute coupon with his face that said "welcome to the pack", which included a discounted rate for 3 full days at camp, 1 bath, & 1 individual enrichment session. I scheduled an all day camp a couple of days later to make sure he was acquainted with the space prior to boarding him for a full 7 days. I asked about doggy boarding and wanted the full Lux room to be able to see the room as he sleeps. My anxiety was in full effect because I've never left Teddy alone before and he was already an abandoned dog, so I didn't want him to think we just left him. The day came when we had to bring him in (day before since we had an early flight next day). My husband took Teddy in and I checked the app. It said "cabin" and not the lux suite. I asked my husband if he made sure Teddy was in the upgraded suite and he didn't make sure to ask. I called and spoke with the owner, Paula. She notified me he was indeed booked for a regular cabin, which did not allow me to see him in his room throughout the night. I voiced my frustration that when I booked, I wanted to upgrade to the lux room. She told me all the lux rooms were booked but one would be opening up 3 nights later. I was about to call all the different Camp Bow Wows to ensure I would be able to see my dog. Paula found an alternative. There was an enrichment room for enrichment services that also had a 24/7 camera. She moved things around and allowed Teddy to sleep into the space and notified her team so there wouldn't be any schedule disturbances. My heart felt more at peace knowing I would be able to see how he was doing. Fast forward and I can tell that Teddy was sad from the cameras, which is understandable. We received a call to notify us that he has blood in his stool. He's not used to all day play and I'm sure he was stressed that we haven't come to pick him up. I ended up adding enrichment services everyday until we picked him up. They sent me pictures during snuggle sessions and it made me feel at ease knowing he was getting a little extra love and attention. Or flight was delayed and I kept in constant contact with the text number they provided for me. They notified me that Teddy was welcomed to stay as long as he needed. Service was honestly fantastic. I was so happy with the open communication and reassurance that Teddy was okay or doing better. I'm thankful for the team for loving doggos so much. I kept an eye on those cameras like a hawk.
