This is the shop that I would recommend going to. I went to Mavis discount tire in vestal because I was looking for something closer to me, cheap and quick. Mavis tried to rob me by telling me I urgently needed to repair my brakes and rotors(this was completely unrelated to why the vehicle was brought there in the first place too). I took the vehicle to Mikes intending on having those parts fixed and they told me the parts were just fine. I greatly appreciate the honesty there. I could have potentially had that done at Mavis and significantly over paid for work I didn't need. I also probably wouldn't have got the best parts because it seemed super suspicious they were even able to do put new parts on that second. Maybe they were just going to charge me for work they didn't even do if I agreed to it because the parts were completely fine. Mikes auto shop is the way to go for any vehicle issues. I decided to pull my vehicle out and went to another shop that quoted me $350 for the same job using Ford's o.e.m. Motorcraft parts. This dealership said that they had to charge 3 hours labor and the part was $394 from the manufacturer. The independent shop replaced the o.e.m. part in about 1 hour for a total cost of $358 including tax, hence this review. I have worked in the automotive service field for 41 years, so I was certain that I was about to be overcharged at Chenango Sales. I tried to negotiate a more reasonable quote with both the owner and service manager, but they were unwilling, even after I showed them national estimate ranges for this job by RepairPal and a quote I had received from one of the largest Ford dealerships in the nation, that I had worked with before, whose quote was more than $200 less than theirs's even though that dealership's hourly labor rate is considerably more than theirs's. Lastly the owner said they only markup parts 20% and when I talked to the service manager, he said they don't markup the parts prices, the manufacturer sets them for them. Unfortunately neither party was accurate about their parts pricing in my case. Too bad, they are conveniently located for me, but I won't be going back & I suggest you do your homework before using this dealership for service.

Tow service 90 minutes out... beautiful spring day.. we could sit on side of highway. Slowly drove the vehicle to gas station.. no help.. our road side suggested a nearby place.. don't sell tires, made it to another place a mile up.. don't have our size tire.. I made a call to Jordan Boudreau He didn't have our size but was going to get and come to us at Carroll's Motors- guy there very nice- sat in his lot and waited for Jordan....he drove over an hour to get the right tire and came back to replace it.. above & beyond.. safety first- kind & friendly.. willing to help. May I add trust.. we then had to drive to his shop to pay.. thank you.. thank you for showing up and helping strangers.. for going out your way.. giving of yourself.
