A new issue arose at my business this year so I called Oak Ridge Fence & Gate to see if they could assist because I was happy with their work that was done last year. When I called this time, I got Julie on the phone and she requested that we send her photos of the damage via text to which we did as she had requested. My assistant had a conversation with Julie and Julie told her that someone would be out at my business later that day or the following day to look at it in person and give us a quote for repairs. No one ever showed up. No one ever called and Julie never even confirmed she received the texted pictures. So since we heard nothing, we called Julie to follow up and to confirm whether or not she received the text/pictures. She was rambling on about the company moving locations or something like and that they would break more boards trying to repair the job and she eventually declined our job in a very unprofessional way, in our opinion. It sounded more like she had no clue on how to properly fix our problem. We feel in the very least Julie or a representative from Oak Ridge Fence & Gate could have acknowledged us or responded to the text we sent her per her request. We got nothing. No calls, no response, no one showed up. We found this to be highly unprofessional and we don't want to work with a company or a team who lacks communication skills.

Kathy in the office always got back to me with answers too. Julie, the owner, even came out to answer all my questions and explain the process. Wow, that woman has an eye for detail (and the patience of a saint). We ran into a problem on the neighbor's yard (shed in way), but no doubt I would have faith in moving forward with Oak Ridge once that is resolved by my neighbor. They were transparent, reliable, and kind and I will continue to recommend them.

I called back in June someone came out but never gave me a quote. Now I am spending money to replace two posts with a 4 x 6 most instead of the 4 x 4 post.

Fence master came and gave me an estimate of $3500 for a vinyl fence that will last me " forever ", which was a little expensive but as the saler explained, it's on a rooftop and it must be done properly and it has to go deep inside the wall for stability. The day of the installation I took the day off to supervise the work, unfortunately the people that came had no idea it was on a rooftop and didn't have the material to secure & ground it properly inside the wall. They rescheduled for the next day and of course I wasn't there! I came home on the evening and the fence looked amazing... again for 3 weeks! One windy day ( in Chicago how surprising!) somebody ring at my doorbell... your fence is about to fall they said! Do something! OMG!!! around my rooftop there is parking with several cars and people were hurrying and trying to remove their cars ASAP. I go on my rooftop and see the fence all around moving like I was on a sailboat! The fire department and the police came shortly after, alerted by all the neighborhood. I just moved into that house and didn't make any friends after that... finally the fence gave up taking most of the wall with it. What a circus! I was traumatized by the whole experience. The firefighters and police officers were great and secured the area and helped so much. They immediately told me that the fence was just screwed on top of the wall and that was extremely dangerous . I showed the police officer my estimate from fence master and they decided not to give me a citation or a fine because they believed I didn't do anything wrong and I was of good faith. I called fence master and they came to take the fence away. I had to have the wall repaired... $4000...but they ghosted me completely. So I have no fence on my rooftop and that costed me $7500!
