We tried this place because my sister craves it for their "best in town" brisket. We shared the brisket platter and a couple of sides. My wife tried the large salad and added the very tender brisket that was surprisingly good too. Give them a try and expect a wait, since it's very popular just off the downtown square and right on the bike trail 0.8 from the Crystal Bridges Art Museum. They do have outside seating. They wouldn't give us tap water, which was disappointing. I think bottled or soda was $2 and up. We will try the one in Rogers before we leave. read more

Year later, food is still good, but ordering inside is confusing. Got the brisket burger, but wasn't sure when to tell them my toppings, and they didn't ask either. Suddenly they were already boxing my food up. Also hard to hear them sometimes. Anyway, still got some pickles and jalapeño ranch, so at least it wasn't just bread+meat. Cheese shells were also good, but as the name implies, REALLY cheesy. Price is a tad high - $15 for a simple burger, side, and drink. Connor is the best assistant manager ever! We have been to Wrights many times over the years and they have always been on point, but this time it was different. We ordered our food for pick up, right when Wrights got slammed with a ton of simultaneous orders. Our order was not ready for pickup after 30 min, and we waited an additional 20 min at Wrights, and the order still was not ready. We spoke to Connor and some employees, and when they got caught up with the six orders before us, they made our order asap. Connor apologized on behalf of Wrights, and he hooked us up (our party had 4 adults and a toddler) with four bottles of water and two to-go containers of banana pudding--all complimentary! He is a shining example of how to take care of your customers, show accountability, and give tier-1 service. Needless to say, we will continue to return to Wrights BBQ for years to come. Wow!!!!!! Just wow. This place is SO good, long line when we walked in but they moved through the line very quickly (also tells you how good it is how busy it is)! We found several open tables behind the to go order building; they are a bit hidden. It was a game day in Fayetteville, so there was a long line at the main building. Did not disappoint. Best BBQ I've had in years. Starting with the service, everyone was friendly and helpful. We went early to avoid a crowd and could take our time ordering. We ate outside which was nice, and they have heaters. My co-worker and I ordered a 3 meat combo, and a 2 meat combo. I opted for brisket, pulled pork, pickles, bread, and my sides were coleslaw and beans. Everything was top notch, great brisket, great pork, all the sides were good. I love the BBQ but tired of making trips by bike to Bentonville from Bella Vista to eat lunch and they are closed when their website, yelp, Facebook say they're open. Got there just after 11 this morning. The sign says they open at 10:30, but closed. This is the third time in the last six weeks. Update your website or update your hours of operation when you're not going to be present. There were several other folks waiting as well, so I guess you lost out on some business today. Simple communication like updating your hours of operation to say when you're closed can make a BIG difference. Don't say you're open when you're not. If your hours say you open at 10:30, then open at 10:30! Very frustrating. We came on a Saturday and unfortunately were told that most meats were sold out. I only got to try the smoked chicken, and it was excellent. The chicken was tender and cooked perfectly. Everything was delicious - no complaints. (And I was admittedly skeptical of Texas BBQ in AK as a Texan.) the meats and sides were very flavorful. If I had to pass on one of the sides it would have been the slaw, but not because it wasn't good, just because the greens and potato salad were must-tries. PLENTY of food. Don't skip on the homemade style pudding. My only frustration was the invisible to-go order line. We waited at least 30 minutes in line, had one couple in front of us, then were stopped for 10 minutes while they made to-go orders. We are not from around here but needed dinner. Omg it didn't disappoint. So good. They were out of chicken and turkey so I had the pork instead. It was so tender, juicy and tasty! My husband had the brisket and really enjoyed it as well. The honey butter green beans were legit. The mashed potatoes were tasty too. The sweet sauce and the spicy sauce were okay, the bold is where it's at though. It is a vinegar base so if you want more of a tomato base then hopefully you will like the other two sauces, which are more of a classic tomato based bbq sauce. The service was quick and friendly. We ate outside, the flies were annoying but it was nice to sit outside and enjoy the quiet neighborhood and watch the bikes go by. I'm not sure that this is a gluten free establishment, I didn't ask or say anything , but the place they cut the meat is also where they assemble sandwiches and use the same gloves. I do not have gastrointestinal problems with gluten, just neurological problems and I did not have any symptoms so the contamination was minimal for me. Maybe if you ask they can accommodate. Wrights BBQ is fantastic, and I'm not even a BBQ fan. Their brisket is AMAZING! I like to get some of the lean side and some fat for premium taste!!! I also love their Mac and cheese, sure it's like velveeta shells and cheese but it's delish! I also like that as a side you can get salad, which I always do, it's very basic, but good to have leafy greens! Sometimes the have beef ribs, and those are wonderful as well. Good customer service is always at the top of my list and the customer service here was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful for our first visit(and the next day when we returned it felt like we were friends lol). The turkey was recommended and it did not disappoint. Choosing a side was difficult because they all sounded delicious but i went with the mac n cheese, which was very good, and their honey butter green beans, which were amazing. I did also taste the mashed potatoes and smoked beans which were also very good. While the food was delicious, the friendly staff made the overall experience that much better.
