Legit Texas BBQ in Eureka Springs! On a recent trip to Eureka, the kids and I were very unimpressed with service and how unfriendly people were. Sauced was one of two exceptions. The person behind teh counter said she was from Texas so maybe that had something to do with it. Sauced is worth a stop. We ordered a bunch of brisket, hand cut fries, and mac n cheese. The fries were excellent. It is hard to beat a perfectly cooked hand cut fry and these were amazing. The mac n cheese was also dang good. It was cheesy as could be and a great addition. The brisket? Well for starters, I wasn't expecting much. I didn't think Arkansas was known for brisket but I figured what the hell. This was some very good brisket. I would venture a guess that it is the best brisket in Eureka and unless there are some real Texas BBQ joints there, one of the best in all of Arkansas. Have I had better? Yes, in Houston or Dallas, but those are the BBQ meccas. This was solid Texas brisket and blew me away for Arkansas BBQ. If you find yourself in Eureka and love BBQ, get yourself to Sauced soon. What a great find!!! We were rushing through the grocery store nearby, smelled at sweet BBQ in the air, saw SAUCED, and just had to make a visit! We bought a simple sampling to-go of burnt ends and brisket. They included three sauces. Burnt ends - unsauced, purely the burnt end straight off the brisket (as opposed to saucing them up and reheating to caramelize the sauce), great bark, and not cut all the way through but we worked through the struggle gladly ;) Brisket - good flavor, but just slightly dry (maybe bc we brought it home). (My husband prefers a larger smoke ring, the red shading below the surface of the meat.) Just the right amount of fat. Original sauce - sweet and delicious! Bold - pretty spicy! And good flavor. Ok. We were skeptical because there weren't any cars. But Yelp reviews made us turn around. Girl behind the counter (so nice and personable) recommended the sampler platter. Brisket, turkey breast and pulled pork. All were delish. Sauces were good, too. My fave was mixing bold and mustard. Clean nice looking place inside. Slaw and beans were tasty, too. read more

Being a bit of a KC bbq snob, the burnt ends and pulled pork would hold their own in Kansas City! The Mac and potato salad sides are up there with the sides at Slaps, Joes, And Jack stack. Best food we had during our time in Eureka!! read more

Great little mountain bbq dive in a very cool town. The ribs, brisket and sides were on point. Good smokey flavor on the meat. Homemade sauce was delicious and worked well with the rub. Outstanding BBQ Flavor. My husband and I stopped in and the service was quick, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the bbq is outstanding. We ordered the brisket and pulled pork w/ white cheddar Mac and baked beans. Seriously superb and tasteful! My husband boasts about there being two different flavorings to the brisket vs the pulled pork. I have never been to a bbq restaurant and wanted to bring home the house sauce more than here. Brisket was great. Pulled pork was fair to good. Burnt ends were dry and overly burnt. The beans, potato salad and Mac n cheese were all good. Portion size was good and prices were about average for what you would expect to pay for BBQ these days. The place is fairly small but they have a reasonable amount of seating. Music level is just about right. Our food came out quickly and was all fresh. One down side was they were sold out on all beer. Was really wanting a beer with my BBQ. read more

Touristy bikers well familiar with BBQ food. Stopped in Eureka Springs and looked for a good BBQ place to eat. Found the Sauced restaurant on yelp and gave it a go. It's a no-nonsense place with a menu board, so you pick your meat and sides. I chose the brisket with loaded potato salad and my friend got the ribs along with mac & cheese. It was 5:30 and the place was empty. That should have been our first clue...you see where this is going. We pick a table and our food is delivered fairly quickly. Decent looking portions, so our expectations are mild. The brisket and ribs had nice flavor but dry. Texas toast was supposed to be included as per the menu, but all we got was a piece of bread. I inquired about the toast and was given a curt reply about the bread is all we serve. Strike 2! The loaded baked potato was flavorless, but my buddy really enjoyed his mac & cheese. Halfway through my meal and guess what! I found the dreaded hair in my brisket. Strike 3!!! That was enough for me. I summoned the server and showed her the hair with food still attached. She apologized and refunded my meal. I had to laugh as we were leaving our server brought out two more beers (not sure if they were gonna be free or charge us), but we declined. And the cook said to us. Oh you have to be responsible. Really? You should be responsible for serving good, fresh and hair free food! Full disclosure, we did tip 20% as it was not our servers fault. She apologized and gave me a refund. So to recap, the brisket and ribs were dry (most likely old) the loaded potato salad was bland, the mac & cheese was good, but the hair in the food was a total deal breaker. I would have rated this place one star if not for good mac & cheese and the helpfulness of our server. read more

Sauced is a great BBQ. And if you like smoked chicken wings theirs are some of the biggest ones I've ever seen. Their brisket sandwich Wes great with just the right amount of fat. When you come in and sit down they bring you a glass for tea or the soda machine and as best I could tell they did not charge extra for the drinks. Was in town for the day and we were looking for some food. When we pulled in it was pretty empty at first. Thought this is not a good sign. Good thing we stayed. Food was fantastic! My brisket was so moist and flavorful. Ribs were great! There was about 7 of us and everyone was very happy with their food. It was a hot humid day and the beer was cold! Place got busy pretty quick and several people actually came in just for take out. This will definitely be a regular stop when we come to this town. Our waitress was very good and hilarious. When driving in area we saw this BBQ spot and wanted to try it out. The location has parking and you order at the counter and then they bring it to your table. I did the pulled pork special with chips. The pulled pork was juicy. I tried the house bbq sauce and it was alright in flavor. My mom tried the loaded pork fries and they were delicious. We are staying at Hogsveil, and on the restaurant sheet, Sauced was recommended. Because the Hubs' last name is Saucedo, AND the sheet said best Mac and cheese around it was a no-brainer. It was no lie... Holy moly, the Mac and cheese is totally amazing! He got brisket and sausage, and I got brisket and smoked bologna. I love bologna... but if you don't, the smoked bologna will change your mind. Hubs looked at me and said... this isn't bologna. The brisket was very tender, and all 3 sauces were very good and with their own amount of kick. We thoroughly enjoyed sour lunch and the company of Shastah. She took great care of us and not being from the area gave us great recommendations for things to do and see. Go by and see them! read more

Cute place! I was greeted walking in the door by Irene Dunham. She didn't waste time to tell me about Today's special. A Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich made with brisket, grilled peppers & onions, white cheddar sauce with a choice of three kinds of sauce. I had to try it and I am glad I did! It was awesome! Texas style BBQ in Eureka Springs!! We got smoked turkey, brisket, sausage, and burnt ends. ALL of the meat was perfect, slow smoked and so moist. The fries were excellent and the Mac n cheese was so creamy and delicious!! I'm giving 5 stars because it won't let me give more. Everyone is so kind and helpful. The ambiance is fine and the food is amazing too. The only thing I would change is ask customers if they want fatty meat or lean because I would like the leaner meat and not the fat. The last few times I ordered there was more fat than meat and if I am going to spend the money I would like to have lean meat. Hands down the best place we ate at in Eureka Springs, during the week we were there. Walked in and the lady working at the register actually smiled and let us know what the daily special was and walked us through the menu. We ordered and sat at a nearby table and the food came out in less than 10 minutes. Everything tasted good, especially the fries. Clearly cut and made there, plus there's a mountain of them! The 3 sauces on the table were good. We liked the spicy bbq with the meat and the chipotle mustard with the fries. Clean, no frills decor and decent music playing. A couple of things to note, they don't have alcohol yet (working on the liquor license we were told) or desserts. (Side note: If the owner reads this review, a dark chocolate chip cookie with bourbon added to the batter, baked in the meat smoker and topped with some finishing salt would be an easy and awesome addition, just sayin.) I wish we would have found this place earlier in our trip, as we would have come back multiple times! Don't get fooled by some of the other places. Do yourself a favor and go here early in your trip. We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. There is plenty of parking nearby and service was quick. You need to order at the counter before seating. Ambiance was OK and they had some minimal outdoor seating. I was disappointed that they were already out of Burnt ends and Ribs. I tried their Chicken Wings and my partner had Pulled Pork sandwich. I was extremely disappointed with their chicken wings. They were overly salty and had no flavor. They just gave me sauces on the side. Pulled pork was dry, flavorless and was even missing salt. I'm giving two stars only because the service was nice and quantity is huge. Overall, pretty disappointed with my experience. I will try their sold out items next time and update the review. Sausage was good. Cole slaw ok. Beans were not the sweet baked beans I expected but did have onion and bitts of beef. Overall just ok. They do have a drive thru window which is a plus! Came from North Carolina for a Chrysler crossfire road rally. Used yelp to find a great place to eat. We know a barbecue in North Carolina but, wow! My wife and I are both carnivore eaters, so meat only. This was the perfect place to have a half pound of brisket, 1/2 pound of smoked turkey, and 1/2 pound of pulled pork. So many barbecue joints have very dried food but this was just absolutely amazing. Throughout eating dinner, I found myself saying.Mm. I just couldn't stop all the way through the meal. We got the bbq loaded fries. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. The fries are hand cut, and the portion fills the whole tray. The people are awesome and super friendly. Great BBQ option in Eureka Springs. We had had dinner at The Grotto in Eureka Springs and the bartender was telling us about the owner's other restaurants, Sauced being one of them. We decided we liked the Grotto so much that we would give Sauced a try. The vibe of the restaurant is nothing fancy. It's a typical bbq diner but the food was fabulous. The bbq had a perfect amount of smokiness and tenderness. It's off the strip and has it's own lot so parking is not an issue like it is on the strip. Perfect little gem off the strip! read more

This is the best BBQ I have ever had, hands down. While I'm not from the South, I've had BBQ in KC and San Antonio and Virginia- those were all great, this was the best. I am writing this review weeks later because I just ate at a place billed 'best BBQ in LA' and it was not even close, it just made me miss this place more. We got brisket, pulled pork and burnt ends- everything was incredible, but special mention to the burnt ends. We also got fried okra and fried pie and those were delicious as well. The service was friendly and although we got takeout, the place is small and cute. Dreaming of when I will be back there to eat delicious BBQ again. read more
