Was incredibly pleased with this place. Went on a Sunday late afternoon after a baseball tournament and really enjoyed it. We had a larger group and the service was great. Even better was the food! Got the 4 meat platter with brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and sausage, really struggled to decide which one I preferred. My wife loved her chicken and all thr kids plates were empty. Only small critique was the coleslaw, but probably more a personal preference than anything else. Really hoping to visit this next time we are in the area. read more

Second review This is my second review following a conversation with the manager, Ashley, regarding the numerous issues with our order. Our food was terrified, after a Long day we arrive at Sassys a couple hours before closing. This was our first time trying out Sassys and it will be our last! My daughter specifically ordered a chicken wrap without tomatoes, yet it arrived with tomatoes on it. In addition, the meat was excessively fatty, the food was served cold, and the potato bake was both cold and missing the cheese that should have been included. After I contacted the restaurant, Ashley acknowledged the issues and initially offered a $20 gift card. She stated that she would discuss the situation with the owner, Alan, due to the number of problems with our order and indicated that they would make things right. I was told I would receive a callback regarding when to pick up the gift card, and that Ashley felt our experience was unacceptable and she would talk with Alen ( the owner) for a full refund. Unfortunately, weeks passed without any follow-up communication. When I contacted the restaurant again, I was informed that only $20 would be refunded. The lack of follow-through and communication was just as disappointing as the food itself. While mistakes can happen, customers should be able to expect accurate orders, quality food ( especially Southern BBQ) come on now! and timely resolution when issues arise. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Sassy's Barbecue due to the poor food quality, lack of communication, and unsatisfactory customer service. 1 Star. Do Better Sassys! First time here. Went during lunch on a Wednesday. I have heard great things about this place as far as bbq is concerned but I have been craving chicken tenders. I was the only person at the bar. Very friendly service. Greeted as I came in. I ordered the chicken fingers with potato salad & coleslaw. Chicken was excellent, as was the potato salad. Coleslaw was very good. I ordered 1/3 rib plate. I also ordered Mac & cheese with cream corn. The ribs had no smoke flavor and it was way too dry to eat. I did eat 2 ribs but took the other 2 home for the dog. The Mac & Cheese was ok but the cream corn was awful ( they put sugar in it and some kind of milk mush). I'll never eat at this place ever again! read more

This place really lives up to its Sassy names sake. The food is fantastic this is one of those base places where you can't order anything "bad" in fact everything is amazing. I really enjoy their Irish nachos, my wife calls it delicious dinner for two! The service is always kind, quick and very friendly. Overall a 5 star place on the ambiance, it could be better inside just ok, but the outside porch/patio are is wonderful. I really enjoy the brisket but my personal favorite is dry rub smoked wings. I came here last Saturday over Columbus Day weekend and let me start with the positives. Their deck was lively as there was a hogs game going on, and our server was attentive and positive. Now, let's get down to business. I ordered the chicken fried steak with two sides baked potato casserole and mac and cheese. To say that everything was cold, would be an understatement. Literally my mac and cheese had ice chunks in it. The waitress was apologetic and empathetic, and I did tip her more than a traditional 20% but having ice cold food is unforgivable. Enjoyed my experience at Sassy's! We came with a large group and they were more than willing/able to accommodate us. The food came out quickly and everyone really enjoyed it. Lots of great sauce options on the table, laid back ambiance, friendly service. I've had better BBQ in the South but this wasn't bad by any stretch of the imagination. We were taking a Sunday afternoon drive down from Rogers, just to look around; we moved here 3 months ago, and we're still getting familiar with the surrounding area. We stopped on here to get a bite and relax. What a pleasant surprise. We're from Texas, where they take their barbecue VERY seriously. So when we try barbecue anywhere else, it's a high bar. This place definitely matches up with any place we've been. We shared a 3 meat plate, with brisket, sausage (regular, not the cheddar jalapeño), and ribs. All were excellent, and their selection of sauces (which is often disappointment) is superb. We didn't really get a chance at all their sides, but we did try their sweet potato tots, which we had never seen anywhere else. My wife loves sweet potato fries, and these were much better, IMO. I stopped in here for dinner, about 90 minutes before closing. One third of a rack of baby backs (4 bones), with sides of green beans and hot potato casserole and a refillable soft drink (Pepsi products), kicked things off. Despite the late hour, the ribs were top notch-- moist and tender, with a tasty rub and separating cleanly at the bite. Both sides were also excellent, and I somehow managed to save room to try a fried pie (strawberry) for dessert. It was well worth it. The brisket was horrible. Tough, dry and tasteless. It was old roast beef. Only reason I gave two stars is because the sides were good. Sever was friendly enough but never came back to ask how our food was or I would have told her. Never offered drink refill either. I had the pulled pork sandwich, my wife had the brisket sandwich. Neither had any seasoning, and were served pretty lukewarm. Even the coleslaw was bland. Sassy's has great BBQ, fast service and cheap drink specials. The food is consistent and the smoked meats are bomb and also portion sizes are great. Check out the Brisket, smoked Turkey, pulled pork and I always get Mac n cheese and fried okra. They have tons of tv's if you're trying to watch a game. My afternoon meal came out in less that 5 minutes, which was super fast. If you want a quiet environment on a big game day...be aware...expect some holler'n and what not on those big game days. This was our 2nd visit to this location. Both times it has been busy, but no wait since they have a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. I really like the food at Sassy's. Great barbecue pulled pork, smoked wings, and delicious signature mac and cheese and creamed corn! The service is hit or miss. Once our waitress took our order she was pretty much absent the rest of the meal. We had to wave someone else down to get silverware when our food arrived and I never got a refill until she brought the check at the end. It was understandable that they were busy and I was grateful that there seemed to be good teamwork with the other servers, but we didn't even get a thank you at the end when I paid, so I wish my tip went to the other more helpful staff. But the food is so good we'll be back! Atmosphere is not the cleanest, old building with a bar environment. Price is average, not cheap but they do have different kids night and happy hour discounts. Love the meaty and large smoked wings but wish they came with carrots or something too. My kids ask for their mac and cheese every time. It is the bomb. read more

I've wanted to try sassys again after several years. Nothing was memorable enough before to make me a regular - until tonight. I had the 1/2 rack of ribs with roasted cream corn and fried okra. They were all scrumptious! Nice flavoring in the corn; the ribs were meaty and just the right smoke and sauce and the okra was nice and crunchy. My wife had the brisket sandwich combo with cole slaw and the mustard potato salad. She said the brisket was nice without a lot of fat and liked the sauce.
