The reports are exhaustive, and they provide lots of details on what's okay or not, and any action to be taken. No home is perfect, but we were able to purchase with a lot more confidence in what we were getting, which helps to take the stress down on a very very stressful time.

Titan conducted an inspection for the seller of the home I was interested in purchasing. Titan said…read morehome was in good shape, furnace was 0k and roof nearing end of life expectancy. Per report, roof was still OK, not needing new roof immediately. Titan never got onto roof, only used a drone. Thankfully, I got my own inspection with a different company before deciding to purchase home. My inspector, who did get on roof, discovered extensive damage to roof to include water leaking into attic in several places. This inspector noted that roof needs replacement immediately. This damage was never listed on Titan report. Also, furnace was not Ok. It had not been inspected for 2 years and needed to be replaced. In addition, Titan report never mentioned water under house and some repairs needed there. While Titan used pictures and report looked good, I would have bought a house that needed thousands of dollars in repairs had I relied on their report.

I think I'm still in shock over my experience with J…read more I could tell you about how this guy gave me an in-depth home inspection while I was out-of-state that made me feel like I was right there the whole time. 100% felt like that was some of the best money I've ever spent. I could tell you how he -- completely unsolicited --offered to walk through the report in person with me whenever I got into Washington for the home sale. But Y'ALL. Let me tell you instead how I called this guy nearly TWO YEARS AFTER THE INSPECTION in a panic during the last big freeze when an exterior hose bib failed. Why? Because a) the water company had come through and updated the water meter, changing the look of the main shut-off (rendering my limited experience with the valve totally useless), and b) no plumber would come out, since they were responding to 19,383,629 other freeze-related emergencies. I expected NOTHING from this guy at this point: it was the hailiest of Hail Mary's. Instead, I got a quick "I'm on my way" from him. WHAT?!? When he got there, found another shut-off, and kept me from going without water (and my house from floating away on its own plumbing-failure river), my shriveled little Grinchy heart DID grow three sizes that day! J is good people doing good work. I will never work with anyone else for home inspections.

He does a very complete inspection. He emailed me the report the same day. It is very useful since I know what projects to work on first. He is an expert. He answered my questions with ease and I will continue to use him for future homes I buy. The $595 fee was very fair. He spent over 4 hours at my house yesterday and i feel so relieved that I know the condition of my house. His work is exceptional.

First off what stood out with John is that he is very responsive and easy to get in touch with. In the most recent instance, he was very accommodating and able to squeeze me in for a last minute inspection. Through the inspection process, he was very thorough and detail oriented. He pointed out many things which I didn't see and was able to give recommendations. What impressed me at the end was the follow up. He sent out my inspection report very quickly via email, after the inspection was done. There was NO waiting around for hours, looking for that new email. I'd definitely recommend John and his company to anyone looking for a great home inspector.

I've worked with a lot of inspectors in my work and some of them can be alarmists. They see a small issue and build a mountain out if a molehill. He doesn't sugar coat problems but he also doesn't freak out over minimal things. His nerdiness is one of my favorite things about him. He genuinely loves looking at homes and telling you want he can about them. It's fun to hear what he has to say about a particar home and what he is looking at during an inspection! You can't go wrong with John. Hurry up and stop reading my Yelp review so you can go and hire him.
