Rude service from staff on the phone when trying to pay, received dried out and burnt meat, ordered cobbler for takeout catering and received boxed pies from Fred Meyers (yuck), so disappointed, won't be ordering from there again. read more

We found this place with the help of trusty yelp while we were in Oregon visiting some friends. One thing about my family is we really like to eat and portions are sometimes an issue and we almost never take any Food home.. That's not the case here as the portions where very large and were real good. We had the St Louis style ribs, BBQ chicken, and the fritters. Prices were more than fair, food was excellent, and service was very good. Thank god their not located in the San Jose or I would be in there all the time and my cholesterol levels would be out of this world!! read more

We ate here because the ratings were so high, but we were very disappointed in our dinner. We split a combo plate and appreciated that they offered doing so for $4.99 with double sides. They give you a lot of food--more than either of us could eat, even splitting, but then we weren't crazy about the food either so maybe we would have eaten more if we had loved it. Admittedly, we went at 8:00pm so maybe we got the end of the day dregs. Loved the flavor of the chopped beef, but the large chunks of meat (not chopped) were really fatty. The pulled pork had a real "off" kind of dirty flavor--neither of us liked it at all. (I think the only pulled pork I've ever had I didn't like.) Ribs were okay. Coleslaw was good. Potato salad was okay. Okra was the standard frozen pre-battered fare. Loaded garlic mashed potatoes, usually a safe choice, were dry and full of hard lumps. (Again, the only garlic mashed potatoes I can ever remember not liking.) Loved the flavor of the BBQ sauce. And our waitress was very nice and friendly. But we won't be returning. Hard for me to imagine it's high ratings unless we just ate there at a bad time. Still for the money, I expect better--especially for the 2 meats and potatoes. read more

Tonight we visited Wubba's again for appetizer's and a drink in the lounge. We ended up ordering dinner instead of just appetizer's, and I'm so glad we did. We ordered the Tri Tip Feast which came with two side orders. For the sides we ordered Potato Salad and Pit Smoked Beans, what a choice! The Tri Tip was great, tender and a wonderful flavor. I can truthfully say I've never had potato salad in a restaurant that I liked as well as Wubba's Potato Salad. The beans were fabulous also. I think this place is going to become one of my favorite restaurants. I had a Margarita which was ok, but not outstanding, it was served in a large glass however. One thing I do like, their corking charge is only $5, which makes it reasonable to bring your own wine of choice.. In the lounge area there are six large screen TV's, all situated so viewing them is easy on the eyes. This will be a great place to was a favorite football game. The waitress in the lounge was very attentive, outgoing and friendly. She had the drinks we ordered on our table is a little less than 5 minutes. She probably didn't know someone would actually time her and pay attention to her performance. I couldn't find anything I didn't like about Wubba's, I will absolutely be back again, and again. Cold mash potatoes, my medium raw tri-tip was overdone with, dry ribs, BQ mess you get 1 napkin, water tasted bad, diarrhea before done with my meal. No, I have nothing good to say They can not mess up on a glass of beer. It was a fantastic Friday at Wubbas I will not take friends or family there anymore. This place is great! Good hearty food and a nice selection of microbrews on tap. I almost missed this place because I yelp searched bars, hoping to find a place with a good beer selection as well as food. After a recommendation from a local I ended up at Wubba's and wow, I'm glad I did. I had the 10 Barrell apocalypse IPA, Deschutes fresh squeezed IPA, and an open faced steak sandwich. Three of us stopped in one mid-October Saturday afternoon around 130pm for lunch . There was only one other table of customers and two waitresses. Nevertheless, it took forever to get a waitress to get us menus and even longer to take our orders. My pulled pork sandwich was very good and so was the burger my daughter ordered, however they put everything on it despite her clearly having stated what she did not want. My wife ordered a grilled chicken breast on a salad, no cheese in the salad. What came instead was fried white and dark chicken that looked to have been pulled, and....lots of cheese. After another wait and no follow-up we flagged down a waitress who was too busy chatting with the other and the cooks to check on customers. She took back the salad. After yet another wait, she received a single chicken breast on a plate. However, it was undercooked and still pink in the center. We waited yet again but there was no follow-up. When I flagged down the waitress again she brought our bill but never asked how our meals were, despite a full salad and chicken breast remaining on the table, mostly uneaten. Though I was interested in a dessert, that was never even offered as an option, only the bill. If there had been a manager present, I would have raised a ruckus, but with this staff, it would have fallen on deaf ears for sure. Inexcusable service and attention to customers. read more

Not coming back! We have not been here in over a year and this was to be a treat. The BBQ Nachos we ordered were all nachos, we had to look for the meat under the bagged shredded cheese. They we awful.... the hamburgers were burnt and so were the buns.... literally black. The rest of the food was not much better. The food has completely gone downhill from the last time we were here. First of all, the BBQ is excellent, the ribs are very good, the pulled pork and beef were excellent, my recommendation as a must try, however, is the sausage, some of the best I've ever tried. So the BBQ is excellent, what sets Wubba's a notch above the competition were the sides and service. The sides were varied and uniformly excellent. We dined as a party of 6 and were able to mix and match a representative sampling of the menu. Among the highlights: fried okra and an unbelievable potato salad. Lastly, I'd like to recommend Wubba's for the phenomenal service we received. Our waitress was funny, helpful and accommodating of our special requests (we even split our check and ordered off menu). Never did she hesitate or roll her eyes; everything came out correctly and she was on top of water, napkins, and drinks. After a long day on the road, Wubba's was a delightful experience and welcome surprise. Worth a detour to enjoy. read more

Thus far bad... Saturday night, so we expected a wait, but 45 minutes of chaos with apparently no dedicated hostess or busboys- waitresses running to and fro with no rhyme or reason. Waitresses randomly acting as hostess thus not keeping accurate count of the wait list, seating patrons randomly; no one seems to know whose table we are... These people need a system. Finally seated- 6 minute wait for order to be taken. Out of baby back ribs, out of corn fritters; still almost an hour before close... This food better be good. The wait time is now in the ridiculous category... Barbecue by definition is all precooked. Food is helping- ribs only okay but chopped beef and their sauce is pretty good. Sides (green beans, mashed potatoes, and baked beans) all above average. Waitress comped drinks due to long wait time... Better service overall (our particular server was fine) would have improved entire experience. read more

My wife and I were passing through town and could not have been happier to discover this place. This was undoubtedly some of the best BBQ on the West Coast. First of all, the menu is a lot of fun. There are so many amazing options. You could come here often and still not try everything. I liked the combo options. I was able to try pulled pork, St. Louis ribs and tri tip. All of them were excellent. The ribs were dynamite - succulent, fall off the bone, full of flavor and not fatty. The tri tip was quite delectable too. Generously spiced, well smoked, lean but not tough. The pulled pork was better than most and benefited from pairing with cole slaw (which hardly had any mayo to my delight). The pit fired beans were great too. I also tried my wife's chicken which was awesome. We had top notch service from Denise. She was extremely friendly and made us feel at home. I like the ambience here. They have a lot of TVs so it would be a perfect place to come watch a game. I was also impressed that they have a full bar which is rare for a BBQ place. My one complaint is that the music they were playing through Sirius was awful. Not in the way where it wasn't my taste but absolutely awful in a way that was distracting and actually comical. I would suggest they choose another station with more universal appeal. read more

I was slightly disappointed that some of the meat appeared over-done, or had sat a long time, and was almost mushy in falling apart. My family stopped at Wubba's during our vacation. We love good BBQ and we were not disappointed. We kept it simple with sandwiches, the Wet Wubba and Tri-tip. Both were moist, tender, smokey and flavorful. Too often sides seem to be an afterthought, not at Wubba's. The cole slaw was the best I have have come across at a restaurant, adding it to my tri tip made a perfect sandwich. The pit-smoked beans were outstanding, thick and rich. My wife loved the baked potato salad. If we didn't have to leave in the morning Wubba's would have been our lunch stop. Wubba's does BBQ right. read more

I am not writing a review to complain about the food of the service, I just don't like the way they discriminate against firefighters. They had an employee at the bend location that had to go off on a fire, they said that would not be a problem, but when she got back they let her go.they told her that she left them hanging. So the bottom line is they say one thing and do another. I will not support there establishment at either location. read more

This is a tough one... we had the Judge's Special, essentially a sampler platter containing offerings of BBQ chicken (leg and thigh), ribs (St. Louis or Baby Back - we got baby back), brisket, and pulled pork. For only $2.99 more, we "doubled down" (meaning the meal is split between two people and two extra sides are provided). Our four sides were creamed corn, green beans with bacon, cole slaw, and sweet potato fries. The staff were helpful, welcoming and friendly, and the atmosphere family-oriented. On to the food. The BBQ chicken thigh was to die for. Crispy skin, lip-smacking sauce and cooked just right inside. The ribs also had great flavor. The sides, especially the sweet potato fries and creamed corn worked out really well. But, where they fell down, the fell down hard. The "brisket" was more shredded beef. The pulled pork was dry and tasteless. So, 3 stars. read more
