I'll sit at the bar and enjoy the food. We could hear staff arguing from our booth. This is bbq. It requires love not anger 2.) The menu sounds great and is easy to understand BUT it's the food! BRISKET: Looked like pulled pork. Dry, not juicy, and hidden in a slather of sauce. TRI-TIP: Looked like a Salisbury steak from Denny's. It was overcooked and dry. RIBS: I would eat again!!! They did a great job with recreating the authentic Texas pit-style experience. SIDES: The Okra was fantastic. Great BBQ! In fact it's so good that I don't even have any pictures to show you. This is a massive compliment because I am a serial food photographer and annoyingly post tonnes of pictures of food to Yelp. My partner and I swung by for take out as we were staying nearby on a road trip. This was during the covid pandemic so dine in seemed more trouble than it was worth. On a Saturday night the staff were clearly busy running orders but the restaurant itself was probably only at 1/3 capacity. We ordered baby back ribs/brisket combo. Prime rib, and fried okra. More than enough food for 2 and the okra was overkill but we ended up having a great late night snack. Everything was cooked really well. Ribs were smoky, sticky, perfectly tender and falling off the bone. Prime rib was great, they were out of medium rare so I had an order of medium-well and that was amazing. My prime rib didn't come with garlic bread though, I assume they must have forgotten it. Staff were friendly and quick to get everything together. The cheesecake here is the best I've tasted at a restaurant. Even my daughter who is not a fan of cheesecake liked it so much that she went back to get her own piece. After reading a dozen or so reviews of this place, I was debating going in, but was so hungry I decided to give it a shot. I noticed people often complained about the service, and I have to say mine was not perfect but in my opinion nothing went bad enough where I would not go back. I was seated immediately, drink order and food order both took a few minutes. I asked for a water with my beer and didn't ever get one, and that's where the negatives end. The food came out quite quickly once ordered. The food was delicious. I got the 3 meat platter with baby back ribs, pulled pork, smoked sausage, onion strings and smoked beans. I enjoyed every bite and would go back in a heartbeat for more. My only critique is that the ribs could have been just a little more tender. This was the first time we've been here. We're driving through headed to Washington from Nevada and they were still open. We had the combo try tip and St. Louis ribs with four sides. Called in an order for takeout, and it seemed the person on the phone wasn't very familiar with the menu. I understand a lot of restaurants are short-staffed and possibly training new employees, so I didn't mind repeating the order a few times for them. After arriving, the food wasn't ready so we waited a little while in the lobby area. The food was mediocre at best. We ordered the ribs, brisket, baked beans, corn fritters, house salad, creole rice and seasonal veggies. Half of the ribs were tough and chewy, and the other half were tender and came off the bone easily with a little help. It was clear they weren't from the same "rack" of ribs, and they put sauce on them. The brisket was not tender but the flavor was good. The corn fritters were mostly bread and the house salad had wilted tomatoes on it, so I didn't try it. The staff really seemed to be trying their best, though it seemed unorganized. I hate to leave a 2-star review, but I felt like the restaurant is doing too much and should maybe cut back the menu to focus on a few staple items, because the flavors were there but the attention to detail was lost in all the action. read more

Stopped by for lunch since we were right next door buying a generator because PG&E (we live in California). We were greeted and seated quickly, our server was prompt with offering us drinks, getting our order in and our food out in a great amount of time. The brisket pulled apart with a fork. Still debating over wether the St Louis ribs or the sweet sticky ribs were better. Both were fall off the bone delicious. Prices were incredibly reasonable for what we got. The green beans with bacon weren't mushy! They were tender but not yet baby food!! Corn fritters were moist. Garlic mashed potatoes were the bomb. As an out of towner I enjoy going to new places. I do have to say the food was fantastic... However the the man taking our order was very rude and abrupt. Other people sitting nearby were complaining on how rude he was also...
