We stopped here for lunch after driving up from California. It was wet and snowy outside and we were in need of some hot food. I loved the decorations - mid-west cowboy theme. The theme was seen throughout the restaurant. Lots of options on their menu from their famous Kansas style BBQ, sandwiches to healthier options like salads. I decided to try their more popular option with the brisket plus sides of green beans + bacon and fried okra. My boyfriend got the tri tip and corn fritters. The food tasted amazing! The brisket melted in my mouth! The side dishes were also really good - a lot better than I thought especially the corn fritters and green beans. The portions were pretty generous, so we had some leftovers for when we hit the road. I think what makes this place really great is the service and how the staff genuinely cares about the guests. We told our server that we drove up from California and was headed up north towards Portland. Our server helped up look at the routes that were available and their conditions since it was snowing really badly in the area. Stopped here for lunch and it was delicious! It's been some time since we've had good BBQ. Portions were the perfect size and there is an option for everyone which is nice since some don't eat meat - it can cater to the whole family. The waiter was very nice and service was fast. Lunch BBQ is excellent. We have gotten to-go every time we come because we are traveling through town. Their chicken sausage is amazing, pulled pork and brisket is also very good! We have tried a variety of their sides, with our favorites being the green beams, fries, and the corn fritters. This places really hits the spot since we rarely eat BBQ in Oregon (we are from Alabama and love BBQ). While visiting Klamath Falls we came across this BBQ spot. From the outside it doesn't look very appealing. The inside is clean and spacious, they offer a dining area and bar seating. We sat at the bar and were disappointed that they didn't have a physical drink menu. The bartender was great at naming their mixed drinks but it was hard to remember them all. I decided to try her suggestion of a watermelon vodka with a tajin paste rim. I rate it a 8/10! For food we ordered the Kansas City style bbq brisket with a side of creole rice and baked potato salad. The brisket was without a doubt one of the most tender and well smoked briskets. I would have preferred the bbq sauce on the side to taste the brisket on its own. The sides were flavorful and well portioned, overall I was satisfied with my order. We also tried the bbq pulled pork sandwich with grilled onions and jalapeños with a side of fries. The sandwich was served on a hotdog bun style which I wasn't a fan of. The pulled pork was tasty but a little dry, definitely needed extra bbq sauce. The fries were my favorite super airy but with the perfect crunch and very flavorful. I organized a conference at the nearby Running Y Ranch Resort. We planned an outdoor picnic at a park near the lake. Our first option for catering fizzled out due to several factors. On a whim (and a search on the Internet), I decided to work with Wubba's BBQ Shack. The staff was responsive and attentive to detail. They delivered a delicious menu that catered to the many challenges to our group. The food was ready for pick up promptly. The Tri-Tip was well received by our group. The BBQ chicken was excellent. I consider myself somewhat of an amateur bbq snob. I have some pre-conceived notions that may be real southern bbq or they may be just what I THINK is real souther bbq. This wasn't. Wanted it to be, but it just wasn't. Started with burnt ends. Burnt ends are a little oxymoronic - why would you want burnt anything??? But good burnt ends are like bbq crack. These were good. Tender, great sauce. They were pork, and I'm thinking brisket instead, but I give 'em 4 outta 5. Ordered the three choice combo plate, and the meat was good. And after all, you go to bbq for the meat, right? Meat was good but the bbq sauce tasted a little too much like store-bought, and not even sweet baby rays. More like Kraft. I can do Kraft bbq at home. 3 1/2 outta 5 for the meat, could been better with better bbq sauce. Or maybe even no sauce at all. To me, the sides make the bbq. Place in Great Falls, Smoked, ( I HIGHLY recommend, almost worth the trip for that alone), they make hog belly Mac n cheese that is seriously excellent. Mac here was good, okay, decent... you get my drift?? The Notorious PIG in Missoula has beans that are bar-none spectacular. These beans? I didn't even take them home in my dawg box. And potato salad? This should be the crowning jewel. I ate one bite and was just sad. Atmosphere isn't huge, but it IS a thing. This is not a southern bbq shack, but it IS a decent family restaurant. I was visiting and found myself across the street. I decided to try the St. Louis ribs. The ribs were not exactly "fall off the bone" but pretty close. The sauce was flavorful without being spicy, at least for me. I had a side of okra. The okra wasn't heavily battered, so they felt light and tasty. The day before I believe it was, we were at another sit down restaurant that missed the mark for two of my sisters so a bummer but after this visit, we raved how Wubba's was so much better than that dinner (no offense to that other establishment lol). Been coming here for years but lately been unable to eat her because of COVID-19 restrictions. Had a urge for BBQ so I thought I would give them a try again. Still not comfortable eating inside so thought I would eat outdoors. When I wen inside to see about a table outside I was told "we don't serve outside". So, I guess if you want to eat outdoors, you have to order take-out then eat it outside. The other thing that turned me away was that none of the wait staff were wearing any face mask even though the state is currently requiring them. I might be back when the COVID-19 infection numbers start to decline but for now it's a no-go restaurant for us. I'm sure there will be people that think I'm crazy but I'm tired seeing people die that could have prevented it. read more

However my partner likes the opposite she let him order an item off the lunch menu even though it's 4pm. This is the place you HAVE to visit when passing through town! We had heard rave reviews from several Oregonians, and on our way home from California, made the detour through KF to visit. SO WORTH IT!!! We got mixed up on Google directions, because there are actually two locations here, but they are really close to each other.
