Fun way to enjoy lunch. Had not experienced this style of food and cooking at the table. Raw chicken in a huge heap brought to the table grill with sides, soup and an eggy bread. The chicken was not cut up in an appealing way, but cooked up fine and tasty. Server was not easy to understand, menu a bit confusing but sorted it out eventually.

Service was good, amount of food was decent. The place was mentioned by one of the Koreans I met so I thought it would taste more authentic. Maybe I'm biased with the KBBQ I've had before but it wasn't as good as I was expecting. Overall, it's decent enough and the side dishes were not too bad but not sure if I would consider it as my go to KBBQ spot.

My recent visit was amazing. AYCE Korean BBQ comes with soup, steamed eggs and Korean seafood pancake. You can choose between regular AYCE and LA Galbi AYCE. Pro: If you love galbi, this is the place. I really like the galbi flavor here. Cons: they don't serve fresh veggies to eat with grilled meats. The restaurant was kinda out of date and somewhat looked dirty. Service was good and friendly.

Wudon is our absolute favorite Korean bbq spot. We have been to many others in St. Louis, but Wudon has the best quality food, and thankfully they don't nickel and dime you for extra banchan and rice. It's a great experience for a group of friends since it's all you can eat and you get to cook all the meats yourself. We got the bulgogi beef, spicy pork, and galbi, which also came with their seafood pancake, 2 soups, steamed eggs, and their unlimited banchan and rice.

Grabbed Sunday lunch at Wudon, it was so good!! Found out I like pickled radishes, they have never been a vegetable that was at the top of my list of things to eat but that has changed. Opted not to eat the actual "cook your own meal" version of the BBQ, but went for the Bulgogi Dolsot and my lunch mate ordered the Jeyuk Dolsot. The difference is the amount of time the meat marinades, the Bulgogi was so tender and flavorful. I also tried the Soon Dobu Jjigae soup with seafood. It came to the table boiling hot. Everything we had was good, fresh, and filling. Wudon sits off Olive, west of 270. Stop in and check them out, you will not be disappointed.

This was place was very disappointing. It only gets a star because the customer service was nice and quick. A customer was being so disrespectful to an employee and they handled it well so props to the employee. This place is honestly filthy, only ate here because we had not eaten all day and had already paid for an Uber. As you can see, the ceiling is beat up (like the rest of the place. The menus pictured are filthy. The grills perimeter was already that dirty when we arrived. Please take a look at their health code violations! Save yourself the trip.

Somehow, Korean barbecue has become a traditional Father's Day meal for me and I am pretty happy with that! Booked an 11am reservation for Father's Day for all 7 of us and we were seated promptly. The kids ordered, cooked and paid. Can't beat that! We went with the All You Can Eat option. Our server brought our drinks, sides and all the accoutrement. Here's a rundown: - Boneless short rib - Our table favorite. So tasty and tender. Great marinade. Rating 4.2 - Chicken Bulgogi - decent marinade with the pear shining through. Cooked up with a nice caramelization which enhanced the flavor. Rating 4.0 - Fish Cake - Decent! I think I have found this exact type at the local Asian supermarket. Rating: 3.8 - seafood pancake - Not very much seafood (shrimp), but it was excellent. Dipping sauce was perfect. Rating: 4.2 - Soft Tofu Soup - decent. Rating: 3.6 Other items included chili, soybean past, kimchi, daikon radish, salt and pepper, broccoli, lettuce. All good. Service was prompt throughout. They were busy and they kept up with everything. Overall ambiance is super casual. They have very interesting design style - almost Manhwa. One thing I was keeping an eye out for was cleanliness the table we were sitting probably needs to be replaced. The wood stain seemed to absorb water and a number of attempts had been made to patch it up. This was definitely a great experience and the food fire! Overall rating -

Wudon BBQ is one of two Korean restaurants in Chesterfield. It is located at a quiet strip mall on Olive Ave. It is difficult to discover the restaurant from outside. Though, this place has the perfect K BBQ decor with gas grills by table. Each table can host small party between 2 to 6. Our group has 8 people, so the hostess placed a small table and chairs next to the table with a grill. Even though we have a big party, one grill is sufficient. The menu includes unlimited all you can eat options or by item / platter. Our group of 8 ordered one large platter and two different types of meat. The k BBQ meal comes with white rice and many side dishes, including 1) steam egg, 2) spicy tofu soup, 3) seafood pancake, 4) fish cake, 5) broccoli and 6) kimchi. It's really plenty to eat for the party. The meat quality is all really decent. Pricing is super reasonable, at roughly $36/person. Service is wonderful. The servers came ofteh to refill water and brought over additional kimchi, fish cake and broccoli. In addition, they replaced clean grills three times during my visit. Without doubt, I would highly recommend Wudon to my friends! Note that I took off one star for not having enough sides like Asian Kitchen at U City, though this really worths the try! Service is

It's been a while since I've been to Wudon but it remains a classic spot for kbbq (especially AYCE)! I went on a Thursday around noon and found the restaurant surprisingly busy when I arrived. There are usually one or two servers (during the weekday lunch hours), so service can be a bit slow at times, which is entirely understandable! I was surprised to find a mat on the grill but the waiter informed me they had just switched to using them a few months ago. I will admit I was a bit skeptical but it turned out to work very well! Where we normally switched our grill out 2 or 3 times, it was easy to scrap any charred residue off the mat and continue grilling (see the upper right hand corner of my picture for the charred pieces from the marinated spicy pork). We got the AYCE lunch ($25/person) and ordered the brisket, boneless short rib, pork belly and spicy pork. Note: the boneless short rib is easily the star of the AYCE (although brisket is a close second), and it is a 1x order only so make sure you're not too full! We enjoyed the sides and the soft tofu soup, seafood pancake and steamed egg as well. Remember to ask for lettuce if you'd like to make lettuce meat wraps too :) We will definitely be back, for both the price and the quality of the meat-- it's true, Wudon can't be beat!

Best KBBQ I have had. I have been going to Wudon since high school and some of my friends have a tradition of everyone getting the all you can eat buffet then seeing how many platters we can take down. I have countless great memories here and there are several things that Wudon does very well. The first thing that comes to mind is the meats! Oh man the variety, flavor, quality and quantity of the platters they bring out are amazing. The beef bulgogi, chicken bulgogi, spicy pork, brisket, pork belly, etc are all so good. The spicy pork and beef bulgogi are my personal favorites and are marinated in a delicious sauce that makes every bite a treat. The grill set up is very nice and certain tables can accommodate up to 10 or more people. They don't change the grill out often which is an aspect that I really like as it allows the grill to stay hot and for you to continue to cook at a good rate which is ideal for larger parties. The sides that come with the all you can eat are also quite good but I typically restrain from indulging too much so I can fill up on the good stuff. Atmosphere inside is intimate, and simple. Staff is kind and attentive, almost always staying on top of waters and requests. Myself and many of my friends love this spot and we will continue to come and enjoy ourselves as long as we can.

This place was an interesting experience. I went with a group of people and it was a little confusing on how to order, but one of my friends had been there before so she showed us the ropes. We ordered one of the special combos for the whole table and it was weird because it came with one bowl of soup and one seafood pancake. It was confusing because there were 4 of us. We didn't all want the same soup and were we all supposed to share the soup or fight over who gets it? Still not sure what we were supposed to do but me and a friend shared it. Then they bring the meat out and you cook it at the table. Luckily my friend knew how it all worked because I would have been lost. It was a fun experience though! And the art and sayings on the wall were cute.

Underwhelmed and overwhelmed at the same time. Underwhelmed because the place is a little rundown, smells bad, the ceilings are filthy. Warm water served in cheap plastic cups. Canned soda instead of fountain. I was overwhelmed by the menu options. It's not clearly labeled how many the dishes serve. We had to ask the waiter to explain. Would have been nice to get more guidance without having to ask. I don't eat steak so I got the chicken. Next I'd probably have the kitchen cook it instead of on the table. Food tasted good. Overall not worth the hype this place has.

Meat Lovers - This pick is for you! Wudon is one of the best Korean BBQ spots in STL! Pick from the big selection of delicious meats to grill or, if you brought your A Game, try the all you can eat option! Expect a wait that will take as long as they tell you.. but trust me, it's worth it! MY FAVS: Beef Brisket, Soft Tofu Soup, Japche

The only real warmth we encountered came from the female host; the rest of the staff delivered service that hovered somewhere between disinterested and "we're doing you a favor by being here." We kicked things off with the fried deviled eggs, which arrived neither fried nor particularly deviled -- just cold little reminders that hope is fleeting. Cocktails landed squarely in "General Public" territory. My Squatty Potty showed up lukewarm, like it had been loitering at the bar contemplating its life choices instead of making it to the table piping hot. A chicken Caesar salad was perfectly fine... if you enjoy playing hide-and-seek with the chicken. The breakfast burger came on an English muffin with what might be the most emotionally unavailable portion of hash brown casserole I've ever seen -- tiny, distant, and gone too soon. Then there's the Scream Burger. Marketed as ghost-pepper spicy, priced like it's the main event, and delivered with all the heat of a polite Midwestern handshake. Dry, bland, and somehow bold enough to charge me an extra dollar for more mayo -- because nothing says "premium burger experience" like a condiment upcharge to make it edible. My husband's Pork Pountine? Imagine fries sprinkled with a few bacon bits like confetti at a party nobody wanted to attend. We came in excited because Eat Crow in Soulard sets the bar high. Unfortunately, Crows Nest feels like it's cooking for someone driving in from Chesterfield who asked the kitchen to "tone it down." It is a Trojan horse for one of the best burgers in St. Louis (my wife says I'm being dramatic for calling it THE best; I say I am not NOT going back for another). We enjoyed everything we order: the pork belly burnt ends and cashew chicken wings, and a coffee & cardamom old fashioned that sounds like a personality disorder but tastes like a vibe, smoky, a touch sweet, and very drinkable year-round. The Sam Elliott burger, BBQ sauce, bacon, crunchy onions, brioche, is named for a man who has never disappointed anyone, and neither does the sandwich. And the meatloaf is NOT your grandma's brick: tender, charred at the edges, laid over silky mashed potatoes with broccolini, perhaps closer to a chop steak than a loaf in the best possible way. Vibe is farm-chic: old church pews, repurposed interior doors, a proper bar up front, plus a patio and rooftop for when the weather cooperates. Fun fact -- it's named after the blue duck Billy Madison paints in elementary school, which is a fantastic piece of trivia and tells you absolutely nothing accurate about the actual restaurant. 4.7 Stars. Picking Nits: the counter-order setup is efficient, but it sets expectations in the wrong direction for the first 90 seconds, you brace for fast-casual and instead get something considerably more ambitious. Food comes out fast once you've ordered, which is great if you're hungry and slightly jarring if you wanted a slow, lingering dinner. And the Billy Madison naming is charming trivia but entirely misleading as a vibe preview, no complaints about the actual restaurant, just the branding expectations it sets. If The Blue Duck were a character: Ron Swanson. Hear me out. If Ron ate here, he'd be suspicious of the entire experience until his first bite of protein -- the counter ordering, the repurposed doors, a burger named after a fellow mustachioed American, all of it registering as potentially too clever. Then the Sam Elliott hits his plate, he takes one bite, and the skepticism dissolves into the quiet respect of a man who has found his people. Looks rustic. Has strong feelings about meat. Secretly sophisticated -- plays saxophone in a jazz club under a fake name, builds his own furniture, would 100% approve of the farm-chic decor once the protein has spoken. Presents as simple. My friend had trouble getting the server's attention when she wanted to put in more orders. Robata is not a place for a quick happy hour bite. It's going to take a while, especially if you're ordering in multiple rounds like we did. When the kitchen got too busy, my order another roll was denied. That happened well before dinner service ended and it was disappointing. I would have waited a bit longer. But it was probably good to get cut off from sushi at some point. We were a little confused by the bills. My friend may have overpaid (not gotten happy hour price) for some of her items, and there was some question about whether mine had been billed correctly, but in the end we decided that mine was probably correct. Hers, though... we aren't sure. I think I'll return to Robata for the BB roll, plum wine, and maybe something new, but I will be sure to have plenty of time, order a bunch all at once, and check the bill.

Since my source for umeboshi onigiri seems to have ceased operations (does anyone know what…read morehappened to the Izumi food truck?), i was pretty excited to see pickled plum rice balls on the menu here. I came with a friend for happy hour. We got the half off sushi (which included the mackerel nigiri, which is my FAVORITE (Tho, theirs isn't as good as Sushi Hanna in Alton)) and house hot sake, which was perfect for this freezing week. The heat was out? Which the waitress apologized for. They had a space heater out, so we sat right by that. I also ordered a few of the onigiri to go. They aren't the best I've had, but I'll probably be back semi-regularly to get my fix of the flavor, which is just so unique. Same for half off mackerel Maybe one day I'll even try their non-sushi offerings...

I usually always get take out although I've dined in a couple of times and have always received the best service. The menu is straightforward and has a variety of the staples - from curries, noodles, rice dishes and more. You're allowed to pick from a variety of spice levels which is nice! The street is sorta busy so I usually park near the McDonalds for pickup as it takes only 10-15 minutes for the order to be ready. Highly recommend! Food: 9/10 Price: 10/10 Service: 10/10

I get that this is a Thai restaurant, not Chinese (though it's more Chinese than I am), but Meyou might consider such a policy. I would have benefited from it yesterday. I visited on a Wednesday evening with members of a running group. There were umpteen of us. If we'd been given a single egg roll appetizer, we would have been forced to cut it in tiny pieces and share. I would have been willing to do that, because I'm a confirmed, avowed savage. My reputation precedes me. Arguably, they should give you one free appetizer for every six members of your party. But I digress. Now, where was I? Ah yes, Meyou. I'd describe this place as a somewhat Americanized version of Thai food, based on what little I know from having recently visited Bangkok and eaten in roughly 40 or 50 restaurants, food stalls and what have you over the course of a few days, i.e. not a whole lot. You can get pad thai and various other soups, noodles and curries, along with fried rice, egg rolls, crab rangoon and chicken wings. It's got a little something for everyone. Do they charge you $0.25 for extra soy sauce? Can you call up and try to harangue them into giving you a free order of crab rangoon by claiming that they shorted you the last time you were there, knowing good and well they can count better than you? I'm not sure. I might try that on my next visit and report back. This time, I went with something called Pad See Ew, which wasn't nearly as gross as its name suggests. In fact, it was good. Its description on the menu, with broccoli, eggs and soy sauce, called to mind various things I might order from a Chinese takeout--which is what I tend to look for in a menu item. As a noodle dish, I figured the overall flavor profile might not be different from a lo mein lunch special I used to get decades ago, that I still fondly reminisce about on a weekly basis. I wasn't that far off from the mark. They let you choose the spice level, ranging from mild to hot. I usually get hot in most places, but I'm hesitant to do that at Asian restaurants, because they might have access to peppers that are technically considered research chemicals, like Temu Ozempic, and therefore not subject to FDA approval. There were a few girls there, and I didn't want to run the risk of my throat starting to close up. I'd have to find a new run group. Medium turned out to be just right for me, but maybe too spicy if you're expecting something along the lines of a buffalo wing. Even the mild, apparently, has a bit of a kick to it. The noodles were nice and slippery and cooked a touch beyond al dente, right in that Goldilocks zone between undercooked and mush. The heat, and the complexity provided by whatever they use to season this, helped offset the underlying sweetness. You get your choice of meat. No Diddy. I went with pork, natch, with apologies to the Honorable Minister. The amount they give you is surprisingly generous, except that this dish will run you. I'm talking modern-day Chipotle prices. Maybe a dollar or two more. Yikes! But I'd argue that the quality justifies it. If I lived nearby, and I had the means, I'd stop by on occasion.

I stopped in to pick up a pork loin because I was around the corner, looking for ~3-4lbs of meat. They only had a 1 1/2 pound in the case (order taker weighed it to confirm before going to the back, which should've been my first warning) so I asked if they had any larger ones. They were nice enough to check and offer to cut one. That's where things went downhill. After waiting 5 or 10 minutes, my order taker came back out to ask how I wanted it prepped (bone or boneless, skin on or off). I said skin off and ambivalent on the bones. This was my mistake, leaving my fate to the hands of someone profit motivated. I walked out with just about a 3 pound bone in roast, which is maybe half a pound more meat than the one and a half pound I turned down - not enough for my guests and I. Had I gotten a roast closer to 4lbs, I would've been unhappy with the price but not enough to write a review. Additionally, they only charged a dollar less for bone in. At $15/lb, I effectively paid the price of their beef for the meat after accounting for the bone. I felt tricked. In hindsight, I should've just turned it down when I saw the price, but I was a bit too shocked to say anything. So I paid my bill and swore that I wouldn't be coming back for anything but (maybe) sausage or a snack again.

We took the first table available, which happened to be in the middle of the entry way. It was a rather odd placement, but it beat having to wait! Our server was prompt and immediately gave us water and menus. Since it was late, I opted for something light and chose the blackened white fish that came with rice pilaf and veggies. Score for being healthy and fitting my macros without having to substitute. My boyfriend got the hot wings and a gyro salad, while his friend got the chicken kebabs and a salad. Their food came first while mine came later. I sampled a piece of the gyro meat and it was quite tasty but had a taco flavor, which I found odd considering we were at a Greek restaurant! My dish was good. It wasn't that blackened but it was still seasoned well and had great flavor. The vegetables were a bit basic and could have used more seasoning. Aside from that, the dish was a hit and our service was great. I'll for sure be back.
