Came on a wed to enjoy ribeye steak with bf. Stopped in a hr after opening and already sold out of three things on small menu. Young white girl served us love her to death. Kinda hot n flies and busy af here so be prepared. Tables needed a gloss or something all sticky. Chicken wings to die for but steaks not work the hype or price leaving with over 100$ bill. Not enough room inside for guests. One server had booty shorts n belly button out whole time was wild to me. Won't be coming back disappointed . Second time coming anyways since first time they changed days of steak without showing on website.

What a delightful restaurant to spend your summer night! Our server T was fun and had great suggestions. Parking is plentiful unless there is an event. Chris has specials and one of our favorites is oxtail. Rich, well cooked and with his bbq sauce it is divine. I recommend the bourbon lemonade, made with Buffalo Trace. The standard sides: fries, Cole slaw and baked beans were delicious and a nice accompaniment to the meats.

    Love the wings.

We have been to BobaQue several times, and I've never been disappointed. The barbecue is top-notch, and we really enjoyed Wednesday wing and trivia night. Everyone there is extremely friendly, and ambience is very unique. They have indoor and outdoor space as well as music.

Not thrilled after two visits. Fantastic wings but thats about it. First visit, they advertised being open on a Sunday on Facebook. We drove out that way late afternoon looking forward to a meal on that patio yet they had closed without warning. Newtown is a bit off the beaten path so we weren't thrilled. Second visit was a Saturday evening, around 5pm. They were out of multiple items and only offered 1 appetizer. We ordered the appetizer but it came out with our meal. Brisket was dry. Sides were good. Catfish was nothing special. We could tell this establishment needs some work. It has potential but not enough for us to come back anytime soon.

I had the the 20-ounce ribeye I ordered medium. As you can see, it was significantly undercooked, closer to rare, with a good sear on the outside but a cool, red center. I only had a few bites in the restaurant, and those pieces were closer to medium. My server did offer to have it cooked longer, which I appreciated, but I declined since I knew I'd finish cooking it at home. That said, it was still disappointing because it was nowhere near the medium temperature I requested. With cuts this thick, it may be challenging to consistently hit the desired doneness, so that's something to keep in mind. On a positive note, the flavor and seasoning were great. The service was also excellent, and I really enjoyed the baked beans and catfish fritters. Just a heads up, they charge for hot sauce, so you may want to bring your own if that's your thing!

This was my first visit to New Town - the entire area is a vibe. Bobaque is nestled in this cute town featuring food, music and fun. There is a lively outdoor patio complete with a stage and mood lights - perfect for entertainment. They also have VIP rooms if you want a smaller private area complete with a tv and comfortable seating. There is a small indoor dining area to sit and eat and watch tv or have a drink at the bar. My group ordered and sat on the patio to watch a live performance. I had a small rib tip plate with potato salad - wow it was fall off the bones delicious. The meat was tender and seasoned well and had just the eight amount of bbq sauce. My portion was huge. The potato salad was good as well. It's worth a drive to go check the place out. The service was good - it does take a little bit to get your food - it was pretty crowded. They host a lot of events so check the calendar of events and head on out there to give them a try!

I enjoyed my meal and cocktail on the outside patio while listening to a live violinist. It took a long time for the food/drinks to come out but worth the wait. I wouldn't recommend visiting if you're in a hurry.

They were great when they operated as a stand, but since transitioning to a restaurant, it's been a different story. We've tried to support them and have gone five times now, really wanting to give a local spot our business. The first visit was right after they opened -- understandable hiccups, but the food was cold. We ordered the brisket special, which ended up being $40 even though it wasn't listed on the menu. We also asked for wings, were told they didn't have any, only to see two trays of wings brought out minutes later. We figured it was opening week, so we gave them the benefit of the doubt. We've driven by many weekends and seen the place packed, so we thought maybe they'd worked out the early issues. Today, we saw a sign advertising $1 wings and Sunday Ticket specials, so we decided to give it another try. Showed up at 4 PM, only to be told they were closed -- despite Google showing hours as 4-9 PM on Sundays. It's frustrating because the place clearly has potential, and we've heard both good and bad from others. But consistency is key in any business. Here are some tips for the owner: * Be consistent with your hours -- and update them everywhere, not just Facebook. * Post accurate, visible pricing so customers know what to expect. * Ensure food is served hot -- it's a basic expectation. * Use multiple platforms to communicate updates, not just Facebook.

The restaurant is pretty spacious with plenty of seating. Food also comes out pretty quickly after ordering at the counter. The back wall of the restaraunt is lined with dozens of trophies and various awards received over the years - a true testament to how great this place is. My husband and I got the three meat plate and the brisket egg rolls. The standout item here was definitely the burnt ends. These aren't your typical burnt ends - these are super tender and melt in your mouth. The brisket egg rolls are unique and packed with flavor as well. The BBQ here pairs well with all the different sauces that are available. We are excited to bring out of towners here!

I must say that the prices are more than reasonable for the amount of food you get. I tried the pulled pork and pulled chicken, both tender and flavorful. The sides deserve their own spotlight--potato salad is my personal favorite, the baked beans and coleslaw hit all the right notes. My brother ordered the burnt ends. Those were another highlight--smoky, rich, and perfectly cooked. They were sold out of brisket when we visited (which says a lot about how good it must be), but that just gives us a reason to come back soon. If you're looking for great BBQ with big flavor and a welcoming vibe, Heavy Smoke is the place. 5/5!

I enjoyed their turkey melt. It was simple. Not over complicated. Not overly flavorful either. It wasn't bad, but it didn't send my taste buds into a chasm of mesquite as i had hoped. The service was good. But, not in a well manicured way. More of a this is very informal dining and holler if ya need me way. Very polite, unpolished, and taken care of. But, it didn't feel like hospitality in the formal sense you imagine when thinking of a sit down dinner. I hope that doesn't come off as a knock or jest. I intend it to be perceived much more as ambivalent. Anyways, no rush to get back, but if my friends wanna go, ill oblige

The staff were friendly and food delivery was reasonably quick. The burnt ends did not "melt" in my mouth like a proper burnt end should. They were fibrous and took a bit of chewing. They were also too sweet, so the meat's natural flavor was masked. The sausage was just OK, nothing special to look forward to. The potato salad was overly mustard based and unenjoyable. Two bites were all I could stand. The baked beans with pulled pork were very good. They could have better if they were more savory and less sweet. If I hadn't just visited family in Austin, TX, perhaps I would've been more favorable to Hendricks. Instead, I had recent reminders of how far they fell short of even average Texas BBQ, let alone Terry Black's. I'm not planning on returning.

I wasn't sure what to order, but the friendly staff recommended that I have the brisket, and I'm so glad I heeded their advice. The brisket sandwich was the most tender meat that I have ever had. I had never had brisket before having that sandwich, now my mouth waters any time I talk about this restaurant! The cole slaw that I had as a side provided the perfect crunch and balance. My mate had the pulled pork sandwich, which was also very tender. I also loved having a variety of barbecue sauces on the table and was able to try each one. Everyone has a preference, I'm sure, but after trying each one, I am completely sold on the Carolina gold. Also, I do not typically have a fountain soda, but the cola that was on tap was some of the best that I'd ever tasted. 10 out of 10 for Sugarfire, and I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in St. Louis!
